Love Zoltan Chaney, the drummer. And Mark Slaughter. Super talented, handsome and kind. Slaughter is an awesome band and they are great to their fans.

I take my hat off to any band that can still rock after over 20 years. Too many now are just a flash in the pan, 1 or 2 hit wonders. It takes an ass load of work and dedication to your craft.

Slaughter was a two hit wonder from the 80’s. Too many cornballs In their 40-50’s still listen to these 1-2 hit wonders keeping these washed up clowns somewhat relevant . Hair metal sucked when it was popular

Excellent drummer and great talent also plays with the band of Vince Neil. I saw him at the Mother of All in Monterrey, Mexico and stole the night.

MAFGWARRIOR I saw Vince Neil about 10 years ago not knowing who he was using for a drummer. Ever since that night Zoltan has been my favorite drummer, its mind blowing how much extra he can do while playing. That flashy style is so entertaining, it never gets old.

I don't understand why you say Mark has to retire, it's just a lot of yelling. He still has an amazing voice, considering his age, that he probably didn't take care of his voice when he was young, and that he's singing at a concert (which is exhausting). Artists like them have every right to continue in music until their body can't take it anymore, because they will always be incredible, because they made history and because they impacted an entire generation and they will continue do it.
I'am a new fan, new generation 🤘 long live rock

You guys beat up mark slaughter over his singing but he can still kick your ass as a guitarist and is a virtioso on the instrument typical hair band people more interested in looks and appearances than the musicianship people age and get older and that was part of the problem with the scene, everybody thinks of dokken as a hair band but if you listen to their first album with the original mix it had an influence in a big way on the German heavy metal scene along with Randy Rhodes playing and ohh George lynch was good friends with Randy Rhodes also mark slaughter back in the day had vocals similar to Sebastian Bach and was more influenced vocally by guys like Bruce Dickenson and rob halford vs guys like Vince Neil or Steven pearcy

Blando, as always, sounds great. But Mark sounds and looks awful. The Chaney guy - wtf? Much prefer Blas Elias. I take it Blas has left the band permanently - is he still with Blue Man Group in Vegas? And - the band has not released new music or a studio album since 1999. Sad. How about some new music guys?

Too add to my earlier comment zoltan Chaney and blas Elias are awesome drummers but again their talents get overlooked due to slaughter getting lumped in with the hair band scene and that is part of the problem and you guys do not even realize same strum was also friends with Randy Rhodes that was my point it should be about talent not looks and to illustrate my point further whitesnake is another example most Americans think here I go again and crying in the rain and the versions done in 1987 produced by Keith Olsen are the originals they are not the originals produced by Martin birch had a much more deep purplish sound had jon lord and Ian paice playing on them so when a record executive in America and kieth Olsen made a comment that before jon Sykes they thought David Coverdale had a mediocre band is insulting also to dare call Ian paice and the late jon lord mediocre musicians when they are not and the above mentioned songs had been hits in 1982 in Japan and Europe off of the saints and sinners albums yet us Americans eat up the 1987 album obliviously including me point is music is about expression not looks or being a showoff or looks if you want that listen to the scrap like Justin bieber but don't insult guys who have talent or perform out of expression it was that judging metal based off of motley crue poisen and rat that infected the scene forgot that guys like juan crocier or waren demartini are talented as hell which they are same with mark slaughter as a guitar player still but he does not play guitar the whole time while singing which he should or solo unlike kai Hanson of gamma ray and helloween who did it for years in gamma ray now that's metal to me as if mark slaughter played the whole time the bottom would not drop out and if he would do more guitar soloing along with the other guitarist even better, again my opinion how it sounds musically live and in the studio not showing off with stupid acrobats like a caged drum set on stilts
