For Debrief: this is clearly the most paranormal evidence you have ever caught in all your investigations, so Shane, how can you scientifically explain how a 4’5” tall beefboy carried an 8 foot behemoth like a princess?
I still think the lighthouse solo from buzzfeed when Ryan was alone is some of the best evidence they've ever found. Ryan was getting good responses, even a clarification on one of the answers from the spirit box. scared him so bad he ran out
The St. Augustine lighthouse and the series finale with the Sallie House are also both really compelling pieces of evidence to this day. I teeter totter on the line of being both a Boogara & Shayniac. I don’t fully believe in ghosts, but I won’t deny that paranormal activity can exist - so that’s why I always enjoy this series.
There's something so adorable about Shane geeking out over the chickens. I don't blame him, they're pretty cool. Not as cool as Ryan actually lifting up and carrying shane around, though. Very impressive.
If you are experiencing any "ghost" activities, you should probably check your house for gas leaks. They can cause hallucinations and if it goes unfixed long enough you could die.
My pomeranian used to stare into a closet in my house for hours, id open it for her and she would look around and go back to staring. Eventually I found a dry chicken nugget that she must have accidentally pushed under the door and it went inbetween some boxes so I couldn't tell what was going on until months later. Lol
Can’t believe no one’s mentioned how in the first spirit box session it says “goodbye” and then goes silent and in Ryan’s solo it says “I’m moving on” and then goes silent once more. Pretty insane timing. #debrief
Well it's cute how cocky Ryan gets now compared to early on when he only got confident while running out the door at the end I guess after 100 empty locations with absolutely nothing happening he subconsciously knows it's irrational fear
Ryan’s solo spirt box session is probably the most compelling evidence ever caught by the show. With the very clear “Ryan” being said by multiple voices, to saying “I’m shy”, and “there you go” after turning on the light.” The biggest evidence was the spirit saying “I’m moving on” and then the spirit box going silent. Amazing evidence!
@@GodsThirdEye wow that’s was an unnecessary rude and dramatic reply 😂 everyone is different so what might not be as compelling to you might be for others and vice versa I agree I personally think there have been better episodes evidence wise but doesnt mean I’m going to tell people their opinion is wrong There are a lot of skeptics in the comments saying that they found this spirt box evidence and we aren’t mind readers so no way to tell why they didn’t find other episodes with spirit box evidence as compelling but in the end that doesn’t really matter the comments are for fun casual discussion
I like that Shane is still mocking the cry babies from the one season of BUN where everyone cried about how mean they were to each other that season and they were having issues. It was bizarre. Like their fans have never seen friends bust each other's balls and be sarcastic before.
for the #Debrief: Do you guys think the reason the evidence during the solo spirit box was so great is because Ryan talked to them like normal people instead of calling them ghouls and shadow-men? Also, props to whichever graphics designer did the 3D blueprinting at the beginning, they put their whole editussy into it.
Idea for next season: have the crew select a convincing piece of evidence WITHOUT showing Ryan and Shane before the investigation. During the debrief, they can then review the secret evidence and see if they encountered anything similar on their investigation #debrief
It was amazing to see Shane actually like "hmmm that was wierd" when he heard the noise on his solo time. For a brief moment he looked like he actually was confused that it may be real
well he does try to point out when he hears or sees something that is weird but its also pretty easy to explain some weird stuff cuz it aint that weird. Now the moving chopping block and stuff that's some weird "cant explain stuff" which is why he leans to fake, and i would agree to as it cant be so easily explained without some trickery. Because if you don't believe something exist your not gonna claim it does in fact exist and that's the reason it happened xD i know its frustrating though to be like "evidence" then have it brushed off because the only explanation we can offer in the realm of reason is "faked."
The way Shane reacted to the noises in his solo and said that Ryans' audio of his name said that it was pretty good! The way he's sp proud of Ryan for not being scared after that! He was so proud of his friend, and Ryan was so proud of the evidence he was able to get. Man, it makes me happy to see the differences from the beginning at buzzfeed.
Ryan physically carrying Shane because the Ovilus told him to is peak comedy. Edit: Omg I hadn't watched far enough for him to carry Shane from room to room!
Okay, all jokes aside, Deana please PLEASE get your house and yard tested for gas leaks. It looks like you are in a neighborhood with shared utility lines and it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that those pipes would leak. It’s also suspicious that the most active room in the house is the kitchen, where I presume there used to be gas appliances. For the safety of you and family, please call someone to check out your place🙏🏼
No natural gas leaks, no radon gas, no mold. Those have been checked. It still would not explain things moving on their own. Another person in the area has seen his Tide pods shoot up to the ceiling and explode. We all experience similar things that would not be caused by a gas leak.
i’m very impressed by the numerous original illustrations done for ghost files episodes. the artist has very much not been overlooked by me. the cuts to their artwork enhance things!
#Debrief I was re-watching Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural series and you guys should definitely go back to the Augustine Lighthouse! Ryan if you remember, the spirit box gave you consistent and logical responses. That was probably the only time that might not just be coincidence! Since Ryan has become much braver now, I'm sure you'll have a meaningful conversation with the spirit in there and let's see what Shane would say this time!
I'm a pretty big skeptic but I've been to the St. Augustine lighthouse and there was a little weirdness. Nothing on par with the famous TAPS experiences but I'd love to see how Ryan and Shane kill all the tension at the lighthouse with dick jokes.
Yea St. Augustine lighthouse is really weird one with how consisnat they made it, i would love to see how they would appraoch it comapred to how they did it in buzzfeed because they got a consisnat response and it was never mentioned again so i assume it was fake but another take on this channel would be great
i can't believe this is already the second to the last episode for this season of ghost files 😭 looking forward to another season of spooky activities ✨️
As someone who keeps a lot of chickens... it might actually be that the chickens are "talking". There have been many times out around our coops I'll turn around thinking I heard someone mumbling and all that's there are the birds. They make many vocalizations that sound almost (but not quite) like human speech and it's often just enough to trigger your "oh someone's talking" sense, and this becomes more apparent the more birds you have as their sounds layer over each other.
That’s a great point, I often have similar experiences with pigeons where I live. They just love to roost on window sills and they make a lot of murmuring noises. A bunch of sounds in the prison eps just sound exactly like it to me 😅 not to mention the starlings and crows that replicate common sounds like knocking, whistles, and alarms, as well as human vocalisations.
Definitely, I had a "house chicken" for awhile (she hatched disabled s9 we raised her inside until she could join the flock) and she actually learned how to "mimic" us, to an extent. Like someone mumbling in the cadence of a human sentence but you couldn't make out any actual words. Their nighttime murmurings can also sound wild if you aren't used to them
Can confirm we have 4 laying hens and a Parrot in the coop, and he's not the only one making confusing noises, lol. He has a favorite game of whispering "hi" if you walk near the coop at night.
the segment around 20:00 where Shane is just shouting "I want to believe" while Ryan acts like a drunk person is just too funny. Also Shane knocking over the mug and saying it's a ghost, I'm crying tears from laughing
At 1:00:25 when Ryan was looking for the key the ovilus had "glass" on the screen before it said inside. It was telling Ryan where the key was. #debrief
They're also a little more compelling imo, since people who visit a "haunted" historical location are already looking for spooks, and the human brain excels at seeing what it wants to see. But most people don't exactly expect ghostly activity in their ordinary house... 😅
Props to Ryan for keeping it together after his solo spirit box session bc I’d have lost my mind if I heard my name like that. Not to mention the spirit box dying after the lady said I’m moving on.
i don't know how he got his name from that. the first time it sounded like the word "lane" to me (the ai sound, different from the one in ryan's name, also an emphasis on a different syllable), and the second and third times to me were just barking noises. when a person expects to hear something, chances are they will hear it even when it's not there
@TheRandomGuy-ew1keim guessing they were being a lot more respectful and serious during the sessions due to the history of the land. makes sense to treat indigenous land that was stolen from them with respect even if ghosts arent actually real.
I wish Ryan realised at the time that when he said he got chills Shane then said icy when he looked down. That whole 30 seconds was really coherent and worked together.
I feel like the show began with Ryan hoping he'd convince Shane that ghosts were real, but as it's gone on, I feel like Shane's slowly turning Ryan to the skeptic side lol
Ryan’s solo spirit box session is genuinely the most convincing and impressive piece of evidence i’ve ever seen. SO many voices said Ryan’s name and the majority of the responses made 100% sense to what Ryan was saying. Absolutely insane
Not really, everything that comes from that thing and the honeytone is barely intelligible...and the replies barely made any sense..lol Ryan hears what he wants to hear and the subtitles make you hear it too, but if you ignore that, you basically don't make it out at all.
@@sean3473Literally not true, most the time you’d be right but I went back and closed my eyes while listening and it’s pretty freaking easy and legible to hear.

For the #debrief -- Do the owners of the properties ever express annoyance with the outcomes of the episodes? (I.e., if Shane implies evidence is faked, or if there isn't a lot of evidence within the episode.) Do they ever give feedback once the episode is out?
Lol wym? Why should they get mad? They made it all up 😅🤷♂️ Back then i believed in ghosts, looking at old ghost vids but i dont even need to watch the video further than the homeowners explanation to what happened, cause if u have a lil knowledge on body language then it's so easy to see they are all bullshiting for attention 😂😂. Just the way she blinkes 100 times while reciting her lies, for example. Most if those midlife crisis overweight woman just need alot of attention without having anything interesting going on
I wish they (mostly Ryan) would stop entertaining obviously dishonest people and giving them validation and attention. Especially some woman who is being weird about indigenous people, and uses their recent painful history for her own sense of self-importance. (Sure Dina, they totally say your name and call you friend.) The audio she sent them, which is clearly just herself making growling noises… was uh. Something else. Amazing how this show kinda had more integrity under buzzfeed. (Also I love you Shane, but you should feel free to point out she had someone throwing things from off-screen to fake evidence.) I can understand at the end of the episode why you’d think the place is haunted, but indigenous people are a subject you should be careful about when it comes to ghost content.
@@Fantallanaliterally, this show's really gone downhill. it's really gross how indigenous ppl and their suffering were essentially used as a prop for the spooky factor or whatever
@@superparamagnetism Stop virtue signaling. It’s a show about ghosts no one cares about you pretending to be offended. No one is commercializing indigenous people’s suffering intentionally it was just a theory as why ghosts might be there, and the history is interesting.
The family homes are always the creepiest unsolved/ghost files locations. It doesn't feel like an unassuming family home should be haunted and there's an immediacy to it that makes it actually creepy.
I'm more convinced by homes than famous haunted sites, because the latter usually have a touristy feel. This one felt compelling from the moment the homeowner went "knock it off!" in the recording. Like yeah, I'd be pissed too if I got haunted 😂😭 I'm paying mortgage for this?! A freeloader, interrupting my peace?! No way 😭
How interesting you find the home visits will depend on how trusting you are of the home owners that invite them. Your mileage may vary. Not to throw shade at anyone Ryan and Shane have visited.
I actually liked how kind Ryan was while talking to the ghosts. I feel like being kind and possibly talkimg about things or concepts the spirita might know might illicit responses. One of my favourite series on youtube thanks for you guys and your teams hard work.
Hearing them clearly saying Ryan's name eight times in a row from different voices is insane Edit: listening back, three of the times might've been Shane on the walkie but five is still wild
That must have been editing though, right? I can't wait for them to clarify this on the Debrief. Listening to Ryan, it seems like the voice said it three times or so (which is cool in its own right), but the rest seems edited in.
@@TrekTrav Each to their own. If you think it’s all bollocks, well there is Shane to nod to your opinion. For me personally, this was pretty good evidence of intelligent response. I wouldn’t go as far as saying something is “fake” since they clearly say what they hear is a hard ‘maybe’. But I mean if you do think it’s all fake.. maybe don’t watch it? @@pinkbunny6218I thought some of it was Shane trolling Ryan because you can hear the radio sign off noise but even after that you get yet another "Ryan", its insane
the spirit box session Ryan had in his solo investigation genuinely spooked me!!! i seriously thought the crew was in there with him with how many voices and sounds were coming through. also the fact that Shane kind of had reactions to some of the noises in the house was kind of telling how active this house is.
Ryan’s solo spirit box session was pretty incredible tbh. Also kudos to him for staying respectful and serious. I appreciated that ✨ Oh and carrying Shane throughout the house was unexpected 😅
Wow, that chorus of “Ryan”s was unbelievable and kind of moving in a way. It felt like such a powerful and intense connection between two worlds. Sick guys such a killer ep
Dude I have so much respect for Ryan for ducking and jumping when the ghost told him to. He's not letting the possibility of looking a little silly get in the way of making contact with something
I'd really like to see an episode where they test out just how much the power of suggestion can play into 'hauntings'. Like having a fully "unhaunted" location picked out but make up a story to tell Ryan, complete with fake evidence like audio clips with just wind sound effects or even super messed up/crunchy audio of a line saying "Get 50% off at Olive Garden" and before playing explain that it says "Get out of my home or die" or something along those lines. Maybe some fake low resolution pics with 'creepy shadows' that's like freddy fazbear or whatev super imposed on it. Silly examples but I'd like to see just how much the human brain fills in the blanks and scares itself when it comes to these situations.
For the #debrief Ryan- I think it’s interesting when you felt the ghost tug on your leg it repeatedly said “icy”- right after you said you got chills. Just something I feel you missed.
I love Ghost Files but home investigations are a totally different vibe from prisons/museums/etc and I LOVE IT. This is by far my favorite episode of the season. 🙌
Shane has brought up his Chicago upbringing 1 million times throughout both shows, but that GTFO he let out under his breath when he saw that evidence of the thing flying in the living room was maybe the most midwestern I’ve ever heard him sound
For the record, I used to work at a chicken ranch. Chickens make a lot of weird sounds. Spend enough time around them and it will sound like people are talking somewhere close to you. It's crazy. It's chickens, not ghosts.
It's true they do mimic like crazy. I always yell "LAAAADIEEESS" in a sing-songy way when I go visit the girls for chores and now that's how they say hello to everyone who visits them.
YUP as soon as i saw the chickens i knew that they were more than likely the cause of the "voices". My nana thought she was haunted and it was just the chickens mimicking
The minute I heard that the family had a dog, my brain went straight to Shane and the Bellaire House episode. I both inwardly laughed and was worried at the same time.
The reveal that Ryan carried Shane to the couch. Ryan’s orb hate being put to the test. Getting a sponsor shoutout during the estes method. The blurred feet. This is a certified ghoul boys classic
The REMpod getting interference from the radios is wild. I didn't know it did that. It makes me realize how easy REMpod evidence would be to fake LOL I appreciate your authenticity, as always.
#debrief as an indigenous person myself, the first thought that came to mind when the spirit box said “acknowledge” and “why would you do that?” was the displaced indigenous peoples of the area. indigenous people have been trying to get…powers that be…to admit to forcefully moving natives out of their homes for a long time. and Land Acknowledgment is a way to recognize the people who acted as stewards of said land.
As a fellow Indigenous person I thought the exact same thing. Gotta say that while I’m not Osage (I’m Kainai or in other words Blackfoot) I found this episode very nice
for #Debrief: if you look at 1:00:44, the ovilus says “Guess” and then “inside.” it seems like the spirit was trying to help Ryan guess that the key was inside the glass jar
The few house hauntings they've done in their career are genuinely some of the scariest to me. This was so scary. Something about homes in the dark is more terrifying to me than the prisons. And the possibly female voice and breathing outside by the coop paired with the spirit box session in Ryan's solo, truly scary stuff. Really good evidence.
Because its something you can relate to, we dont live in prisons or large buildings or hunted boats or mines!!! WOOOO But we all live in houses like this lol
i think that it has to do with the fact that it's so much more real/relatable, most of us haven't been to prisons at night but we've all been alone in our homes before and it can be a very vulnerable and creepy feeling,, even just bc of the fear of home intrusions n such too
For the debrief evidence, at 47:54 when Ryan asked “is that you at the door” it sounds like the spirit box gave a very emphatic “NO!” Idk sounded pretty clear to me and most of the time I can’t tell you anything that the spirit box is spitting out 😂 Also can’t wait to see you guys in Orlando this weekend. It’s my first big event I get to attend since my surgery in June and I’m so excited 🥹
I don't mean this disparagingly and am really only coming from a place of concern: Did they ever get their home checked for mold/gas or similar? I know we're having fun here but if you move to a new place/notice a sudden change where you start to hear voices or see things you absolutely should get your home checked for anything toxic. That stuff is too serious a threat to your health and life to just say "It's ghosts!" and potentially endanger yourself and/or your family. It's fun to believe but these home investigations are also a reminder that ghost sightings and toxin-induced hallucinations are very similar and the former is very often the latter all along.
I have a friend who practices witchcraft and the first thing she tells people when they come to her asking for advice about a potential haunting is to get their house checked for carbon monoxide and other things like that. it's just ethical to start there, with something we know for SURE is dangerous and can be easily addressed.
There's a reason there were so many ghost sightings in the later part of the Victorian era and it wasn't because of a sudden increase in spiritual activity...
i heard get down i feel like that was probably a battle and they were hearing gunshots and men yelling the spirits seem tied to the british and the battle rhat probably took place on that land for it to be stolen and the spirit box gave them a glimpse into that battle
#Debrief I heard one knock immediately after Ryan asked if anyone was here with them right now (23:47), two knocks after Ryan asks if there's a reason they're ignoring them (23:55-23:56), and one knock after Ryan asked if there's someone with them in the kitchen (26:28). They were all faint and sounded vaguely similar, so it might have been some equipment making noise instead.

Can’t believe no one’s mentioned how in the first spirit box session it says “goodbye” and then goes silent and in Ryan’s solo it says “I’m moving on” and then goes silent once more. Pretty insane timing. #debrief

Yeah, I wish they would do that more often. :') I feel like they're getting quite disrespectful and I don't even believe in ghosts...

Hi real quick
If it's so good, uh
Why can they speak English. They clearly can't. She reported them speaking """""FOREIGN LANGUAGE""""
The genuine concern about having their feet on camera is one of those unintentionally funny moments that makes me love watching these two
I love how Ryan says "forced to explore individually" as if he didn't create the show.
Ryan physically carrying Shane because the Ovilus told him to is peak comedy. Edit: Omg I hadn't watched far enough for him to carry Shane from room to room!
Ryan telling every ghost that he's "gonna be there alone later" low key sounds thristy as hell 😂
Okay, all jokes aside, Deana please PLEASE get your house and yard tested for gas leaks.

Ew…that’s cool. I guess if other birds do it why couldn’t a chicken nugget do it
That’s a great point, I often have similar experiences with pigeons where I live.
That is such a great point! So many birds can mimic human speech too.

@@carnuatusi agree bc its fathomable. its relatable. it isnt sum scary hospital or prison. its a place we are all familiar with
They're also a little more compelling imo, since people who visit a "haunted" historical location are already looking for spooks, and the human brain excels at seeing what it wants to see. But most people don't exactly expect ghostly activity in their ordinary house... 😅

yeah he seemed quite serious this episode
@TheRandomGuy-ew1kealso probably because people actually live there now so the stakes are higher
@TheRandomGuy-ew1keim guessing they were being a lot more respectful and serious during the sessions due to the history of the land. makes sense to treat indigenous land that was stolen from them with respect even if ghosts arent actually real.

Amazing how this show kinda had more integrity under buzzfeed. (Also I love you Shane, but you should feel free to point out she had someone throwing things from off-screen to fake evidence.) I think the creepiest part was when the spirit box said Deana, clear as day. It wasn't "Tina" it was Deana
I literally gasped when that happened
The family homes are always the creepiest unsolved/ghost files locations. It doesn't feel like an unassuming family home should be haunted and there's an immediacy to it that makes it actually creepy.
I always find homes to be the least scary because there's less people reporting incidents and I never find any of the homeowner reports compelling.
No way 😭

ryan saying “the same voice later asked me ‘why are you doing this’” had the same energy as ken saying “she even asked me for the time”
I'd really like to see an episode where they test out just how much the power of suggestion can play into 'hauntings'.

Gotta say that while I’m not Osage (I’m Kainai or in other words Blackfoot) I found this episode very nice
although i’m not that’s the first thing that came to mind
yes, plus the word British soon after could even be related
This is more compelling since the Ovilus blasted out "British."
Why would indigenous spirits speak English
Phrogging alert!! Way scarier than ghosts is the idea that someone else is living inside your house without you knowing.. !
for #Debrief: if you look at 1:00:44, the ovilus says “Guess” and then “inside.” it seems like the spirit was trying to help Ryan guess that the key was inside the glass jar
The concern over showing their feet is stronger than any fear they've shown on location
I had weird dreams after watching this episode. That house was creepy.
Because its something you can relate to, we dont live in prisons or large buildings or hunted boats or mines!!! WOOOO
But we all live in houses like this lol
i think that it has to do with the fact that it's so much more real/relatable, most of us haven't been to prisons at night but we've all been alone in our homes before and it can be a very vulnerable and creepy feeling,, even just bc of the fear of home intrusions n such too
For the debrief evidence, at 47:54 when Ryan asked “is that you at the door” it sounds like the spirit box gave a very emphatic “NO!” Idk sounded pretty clear to me and most of the time I can’t tell you anything that the spirit box is spitting out 😂
Also can’t wait to see you guys in Orlando this weekend.
That is a genuinely good point, and I think anyone anywhere on the Boogara-Shaniac spectrum would agree that it's worth checking for mold/toxins
RIP Brittany Murphy
My first thought when they described the voices and shadows was someone PLEASE get these people a carbon monoxide detector
I feel like someone yelled, "Get out!" at 48:02 before saying "That was loud!" Also please do more home visits, found this pretty compelling :)
Get out or get help
i heard get down i feel like that was probably a battle and they were hearing gunshots and men yelling the spirits seem tied to the british and the battle rhat probably took place on that land for it to be stolen and the spirit box gave them a glimpse into that battle
I heard “help us” after it said that was loud
#Debrief I heard one knock immediately after Ryan asked if anyone was here with them right now (23:47), two knocks after Ryan asks if there's a reason they're ignoring them (23:55-23:56), and one knock after Ryan asked if there's someone with them in the kitchen (26:28). They were all faint and sounded vaguely similar, so it might have been some equipment making noise instead.

In the words of Shane, there's literally 1,000,000,000 things a "faint knock" could be; so it's not evidence of any kind.

burns
There is always a logical explanation
To me it sounded like the table/chairs creaking, but who knows
