- In this video, I show you how to open a stuck washing machine door easily. If the door on your washer is stuck in the closed position or stuck in the locked position, then the information in this video should help you hopefully get it open. I go over a few simple steps that will allow you to work your way towards getting the washing machine door to open. I start off with the easiest ones that will take virtually no time and effort, and then work my way towards the more difficult and complex ones!

This was one of the most unhelpful videos I have ever watched and it just clogged up my search for the one that will help me.
Fact: some people cant get to the power plug of their washers. If you are one of these people, flip the power on the fuse panel for that room. It works.
That's exactly what I did and it worked.
It worked for me! I unplugged the washer and waited 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I plugged it in and it worked. It unlocked the washer, Thanks!🎉🎉🎉

It's not stuck, it's still locked.

I am use to add the detergent and fill with water and then close the door. Fill with water and then before beginning of the cycle. Is this why the door gets stuck?

I tried banging on the top loader lid before I watched the video. The problem was that I was hitting the lid on the opposite side of the lock. Thanks to you my lid opened. Thank You so much!

The one thing that isn’t being addressed in any of these videos is first of all unplug the appliance give it 20 seconds or so, and plug it back in. Just like your computer or smart phone, they have to be rebooted just like the instrument panel on your washer, I filled around with mine a little bit last night and then the lightbulb came on to just switch the power off and now my washer is working normally lid lock included

Try turning your power off at the fuse box. I waited about 10 minutes and switched it back on. It worked for me.

Great ideas but it didn't work for me. What happened in my case was I had the washing machine open I was hanging a dress over the lid and I sprayed it with spot remover because it didn't come clean the first time. And the lid slammed shut and it is stuck in the door. If I ever get it out I'll tell you how I did it. Lol

Lift / Drop Lid (No Force)-Negative Results.
Light Tapping-Lid Released.
Two Take Aways:
Unplug it first. I know shock can kill, obviously. I’m pretty sure it would hurt
like hell the whole time you were dying.
Second: Know when to quit. I think it would be cheaper to have a minor problem repaired before one uses his genius to create a major one.
