OMG thank you for the magnet trick, and whoever said to put it on top of the glass type. This just saved me $300 I don't have to spend. And I can finish my laundry! Bless you!

Good God! We just tried it. First tried compressed air to clean the lock. No luck. Then tried a magnet on top of the lid-a little to the right of the latch. And IT WORKED!!! Thank you! We called Whirlpool and their guidance was to call a service person. Thanks again!

Thanks for the magnet trick. If you have a glass top model, just leave the magnet on TOP of the lid just to the right of where the latch is. You'll feel the magnet pull a bit. Hopefully this fix lasts a while because i really dont feel like pulling the washer apart again. Had to exchange the motherboard after only 5 years.

@@user-en9qd5nx8w it's not legally required. It is private company's implementing "features" like automatic load sensing that just happen to die and disable your washing machine every few years instead of 20 like purely mechanical ones were expected to last.

I don't want to use the washer with the lid open.

@@fixittrey9913 I agree that I want the lid to be shut. I pulled the latch out and pushed it back in many times and it worked for six months. Now I am getting the clicking and it stops again. Never buy a Bravo washer or a washer with a locking lid in the future.

I swear to God I can't the people talk before they get to the actual reason of why I clicked on their video.
I'm not here to listen to you talk.
