The sad part is that none of this is actually hard. It's just that our public education system is a failure, partly because of too many bad teachers and administrators that can't be fired. Elementary students at our school still haven't mastered the basic math facts ( 8+6, 6+8, 8*6, 121/11, etc.) by the 6th grade.
As a foreigner, I can confirm this. The level of mathematical education that's been given in my country is so much higher that people generally study for the national curriculum while doing SAT prep and still get great results. The US needs to figure out a solution for this because the mathematical education elsewhere includes stuff that you'd only see in college over there
I am at this one school where we had maxed out 5+ digit multiplication by 4th grade and we were on harder things but due to covid In 6th grade and online school we apparently “got dumber” and now in 7th grade our math teacher is constantly talking abt how we need to be prepared for the psat next year and how hard it’s gonna be while she’s “teaching” us 2 digit subtraction due to how bad our “entire” grade went back due to standardized tests *whoever’s reading this can stop reading right here if you want* but I have a theory on that, when we took these tests in 5th grade we had multiple days to complete each section of the test therefore we had more time but once we started online school we had to complete the entire test in one day so kids where rushing and they easily went backwards on these tests.

Hi I'm a junior and I saw a lot of sat samples online but they are hard. I noticed the sat samples you do seem so easy I don't understand. Is there a chance I would get this kind of easy paper for my sat. Should I be worrying? Please reply I am freaking out!
No the solutions are 7 and 5 so the sum is 12. When you factor the equation you get (x-7)(x-5) = 0. which is where the -7 and -5 come from. When setting the equation to 0 (x-7=0 and x-5=0), you will get positive solutions.
Replace hx by 2 and then transpose the other towards other side of equality then it will get easier for you to solve M2) check values of x given on those options

Think of it as if you simplified a radical and are reversing that, she puts the 2^2/n back into the radical by putting it to the power of the n because the radical was to the nth root of and gets nth root of (2^2/n)^n. *3. Just like 2root 2 you would square 2 to put it back into the radical and get root 2^2 *2 or root 8
I suck at fast math. Its not super hard, I just have to think through the entire process every single time on anything other than addition multiplication division and subtraction

And also they always teach us the more difficult routes than the short cuts🙄 one of my middle school math teachers said so herself

ULTRA FOCUS MODE ON before starting it and the effect of that lasts for a good amount of time and get fast

I think its because if its 3, you can have more than 1 solution. Like if you make x any number it will still be the same.
If the equations are equal (which would be in the case of the 3). Then you can’t solve for x
if K is equal to 3 in that situation, any given value of x would satisfy the equation. therefore, the possible solutions would be more than one
