For anyone wondering about the math question she was working on at 10:46, she was using the compound interest formula (non-continuous). The formula is A = P(1+r/n)^nt, where P is the initial quantity, 1 represents the initial amount factored into growth, r represents the percent growth rate in decimal form, n is how many times in a given time frame the interest compounds (relative to years semiannually is 2, annually is 1, quarterly is 4), and t is the number of time frames (in this case the time frame is a year). I hope that this helps someone out since it helped me!

Ok I am going to say this now to anyone who is taking the SAT. Some questions have answers that are actually wrong. Me, a few of my friends who are good at math, and my literal math teacher who went to a slightly worse MIT for math reviewed some of the math questions I got wrong on the SAT and like 4 had the wrong answer. Totally recommend buying the answer booklet because if you only missed on a perfect score for math look through with people who are very good at math and see if you can appeal to higher-ups.
My sat is on Oct 2nd and I only had 2 weeks to prepare. My current math score is 530 💀 yes, very bad. I really hope it goes well, thanks for the help Anna!!
Kinda late, but haven’t sure if somebody has got to it yet. As coincidental as it is, I just took my 9th grade PSAT today, I kind of have an understanding of what you are talking about, I also took a SAT prep course. But another thing about you saying no matter where we are in our test always fill out your answer sheet you were putting random answers, this is fine but I think it would be a higher chance of getting the question right(if your guessing) if you choose the same answers for the rest of the questions you guessed on. This makes it a 25% chance of you getting it right other than having a bunch of scattered out random answers that could possibly all be wrong.
Hey! Your video just popped up in my recommendations section. This is so helpful. Just wanted to check- shouldn't the answer to the salad and drinks (9.28) question be 93? Option B? No criticism at all :) Congratulation on your score.

Glad I could help! If you feel confident in all the sections already and feel well prepared, the best thing to do is just review, relax, and hope for the best. I think you’ve done everything you can at this point! Nothing is a guarantee, but you can at least go into the test feeling confident, which will hopefully translate to your score. Best of luck!

SAT math section was never really hard for me i normally score between 770-800 with mainly only careless mistakes but i’m aiming for a 800 for the upcoming sat and this vid talked about some really interesting tips that im looking forward to trying out. hope they work!
I sometimes would refer back to them/go through the process of solving them again, but it's more about finding the patterns in your mistakes and correcting those reoccurring errors. It might help to focus on spotting the broader concepts or subtopics you don't understand and improving those, rather than going on an individual question basis or trying to memorize the entire process for solving each question you get wrong :D Hope this helps
It might help to underline the final value that the question asks for (so you make sure you're finding the right thing). Translating all of the given values and info into numbers/expressions can be tricky, and remember that sometimes they will give extraneous info to try to confuse you, but just try to sort out what you need to get to the final value and be thinking of any relevant equations that can help get you there

What did u get
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
my sat is tmrw and i’m in geometry bc i had to take algebra 1 twice since i failed and i’m honestly so nervous i feel nauseous 😀 math is the one subject i struggle with immensely so i’m hoping that it’ll be easy but i doubt it will be 🙁
Good luck! Hope it went well :)
@@annas-universe thank you! thanks to your tips, i felt super confident for the english and grammar portion of the sat!! the math part i did struggle with, but i recognized most of the material!
SAT is in an hour and I'm just pumping up. Wish me luck 🤞
How’s it go?
My sat is on Oct 2nd and I only had 2 weeks to prepare. My current math score is 530 💀
yes, very bad. I really hope it goes well, thanks for the help Anna!!
Mine is tmr too !!!
Me too
Well today
Sorry, my bad, got my answer in the later part of the video
You reply to my comment gave me a paramount pleasure and relief. But I want be sure if I can know I can achieve a 1500+ score in just these days. My mathematical part is fine and reading and writing too but need to see more. I hope you can help.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for your help. I still get problem in the writing sec and essay.
Ummm... m an Indian and have never used a calculator and idk why the calculator part is what seems the most complicated (even a little scary) to me.pls, tell me m not the only one :') I have 2 months for practice though. Will go buy one today to start practicing. thank you for your tips! I've watched your reading tips too and now will be going to the writing ones.. so helpful!
Thank goodness I’m watching all these type of videos or I would’ve made the same mistake I did the first time I took the SAT which was: showing up without a calculator 😂 I believed I got somewhere around 550-600 so with 3 month left of studying and a calculator hopefully this time I can get a 700 or higher! :)
SAT math section was never really hard for me i normally score between 770-800 with mainly only careless mistakes but i’m aiming for a 800 for the upcoming sat and this vid talked about some really interesting tips that im looking forward to trying out. hope they work!
thanks a bunch! i’m aiming to get at least a 1200, wish me luck please 😭😭
You got this! Good luck :D
Bruh I get recommended this 2 days after taking the SAT 💀
i love you anna, you're my hero
i keep doing careless mistakes on the sat and my SAT is in
howd it go?
do you just do the problems you don’t understand again? because everything I “memorize” something I don’t really, I know because I can’t recall it now
I sometimes would refer back to them/go through the process of solving them again, but it's more about finding the patterns in your mistakes and correcting those reoccurring errors. It might help to focus on spotting the broader concepts or subtopics you don't understand and improving those, rather than going on an individual question basis or trying to memorize the entire process for solving each question you get wrong :D Hope this helps
5:35 what happened there ?
(-3)(-1) = 4 ?
huh?
haha I screwed that part up--sometimes it's the simplest multiplication that's the biggest challenge...Good catch though! XD
Omg I saw it too
Any strategies on the complex word problems?
It might help to underline the final value that the question asks for (so you make sure you're finding the right thing). Translating all of the given values and info into numbers/expressions can be tricky, and remember that sometimes they will give extraneous info to try to confuse you, but just try to sort out what you need to get to the final value and be thinking of any relevant equations that can help get you there
im taking my sat march 12!!! ill come back
I don't even have a graphing calculator and my SAT is on Wednesday ://
