I heard the governor Pio Pico had acromegaly but his case was extremely rare cause somehow he lived long until age 93 You would think he would die younger cause of acromegaly.

Not sure if there is an error on 2:14 about somatomedins stopping GH hormone. Rather than stopping growth hormone production, somatomedins are downstream mediators of the effects of growth hormone.

my friend who's slightly younger than me he's 11 and i'm 13. I'm 5 feet 3 and he is at least 5 feet 11 but he might be 6 feet or 6.1 his hands are also huge like his feet, much larger than his dads hands, his dad is 6 feet tall exactly and his mum is 5.7. My friend's ears are also huge and his jaw is massive, he hasn't even started puberty and is already 6 feet tall.

Paul Wight aka The Big Show has this as well but had the surgery. He was slowing down and had health issues because of his gigantism. After the surgery he did some physical therapy and got into better shape.

GH is released with lack of food but other growth factors are crushed so you don't exactly get the action of the hormone IIRC

A doctor can cure acromegaly but there was a case of a Mexican governor named Pio Pico. Who had acromegaly from what I heard between the ages 43 to 57, from 1844 to 1858,. However in one of his photos at age 89 the signs of acromegaly seem to have went away. He lived until the age of 93 which is extremely rare and still live long.
