This greedy stupid shit happened with War Thunder and everyone bad mouthed it everywhere, and although there's still problems with the game, its significantly better than it was before the community put pressure on the devs. Keep strong and they'll keep backpedaling.

The real issue is that all of this is so on-brand for BSG. It’s not a one-off, fluke, or miscommunication. Poor communication and treating its community as shitty as possible is just how they operate. Time for a new game!
I wish anyone who buys the “Arena Didn’t Sell” edition was forced to wear the special armband that comes with it.
Ten years ago I quit playing MechWarrior online after PGI started selling $500 gold mechs. But before I left, it was glorious watching anyone who dropped into a mission with a gold mech get instantly TK’d off the spawn. People were more willing to lose matches than team up with bootlickers. It happened so much that PGI threatened to ban people for “bullying”.
That’s exactly what should happen to anyone who buys this $250 edition of Tarkov. It’s not about the edition itself. It’s not even about the money. It’s because every purchase is a validation of Nikita’s underhanded bullshit.
The offline mode should be open to everyone; EFT is still in Beta. Anything they add isn't dlc since the game HASN'T FKN RELEASED! What a greedy move and a shitty non-apology.

I feel like a new edition like Unheard would have been ok if they had just honored their EOD promise from the start and not acted wonky about changing the verbiage to eliminate past promises in the manner that they did. $250 is still a lot for access to any single game but most of the outrage would just be over an inflated price point and not the entire integrity of their company.

BSG does NOT care about honoring agreements, they think the consequences of their actions end at a "we're sorry that you feel that way" on Reddit, and they see no value in their 8+ year most hardcore supporters aside from the potential future revenue they can get from an upgrade to Unheard edition.

As a business perspective, the offline should be sold as a base and it getting locally hosted on persons computer and working from there, too much is ran on their own servers.
If they were serious about that, they would have officially supported SPT.
But then they couldn't shittily justify charging an extra $100 for them...
The most insane part to me is that the people who already paid $250 aren’t getting refunded now they’re selling it at a HUGE discount and are getting a key for another account, which they probably would never use. And the idea of it being for a friend to try the game is just so hopefully they decided to upgrade it too. It’s a complete smack in the face, basically them saying “we already got your money get fucked”.
Imagine paying 250 to play PVE when you can get it for free with SPT, that has had mod support since the beginning along with features that BSG took without compensating the people that created them
they should offer some kind of game points to buy other items like stash space or the clothes etc for those who spent more instead of just a game code
Can we stop saying that "EoD owners will get it FOR FREE"? It's not fucking free. It was 150$, payed in advance. Let's not forget that we are owed what we bought, and it's not charity when they try and not give it to us and then cave in to outrage.
Unheard addition still has:
-2 extra pocket slots as 2x1 for early game P2W.
-180 rounds of the best ammo for that early P2W.
-Ammo, weapon and junk boxes for MORE early P2W.
-Lv3 starting skills, because Nikita cant stop ruining the early game.
-More slots in flea market for cheaters and RMT.
-INSTANT access to early tests server for 250$ that should be going to players who have 2K+ hours in the game, because they are the ones qualified to test anything.
-Gamma container still in unheard edition, even though it was "UNIQUE" to Eod.
-Mark of the unheard: the item that gives you 50% off cash items and makes scavs that are 60m away not shoot you.
-Distress signal: the item that lets you call EVERYONE on your friends list to join your raid.

The whole "discount for eod" is bad too, it's still a way to sell more stuff to people who were promised everything for free and that they won't have to pay for anything, and "unique" gamma is still not unique
I don’t mind all of you people hating. I happily enjoy playing pve tarkov after upgrading from EOD. Funny that I get hate for that now. Anyways. IF you want to hate and ramble on some bullshit, at least get your facts right. The only p2w thing in entire tarkov is the gamma container if you are too bad to go for kappa. All the rest ist neglectible and the unheard edition change that. Okay maybe the 2 pocket slots are fine but tbh, I couldn’t care less. It’s not a major advantage. The starting gear is irrelevant since you start racking up millions anyway really fast. The unheard item is totally trash since you aren’t allowed to kill any scavs with it, if you don’t want to lose all your rep. The signal item is not even in the game and I assure you if it comes, they will have a way to balance it. Also there are only a small ampint of skills you start at lvl 3, totally useless aswell. Gamma container: people wanted it to be taken out for years. Then they want it back because it’s „pay 2 win“ and people can’t get it anymore. So all I am saying, if you hate the game, stop playing and stop sucking each others internet dicks and form a front against bsg. Me personally can somewhat understand their actions.

A gamma container lets you save some ingame money, who gives a fuck when money is everywhere.

That is EXPLICITLY what the item is supposed to do, and you pay for that premium.
The que times aren't long in offline mode. It's a bug and all you do is restart matchmaking if you don't find a match within one minute.
This isn't enough and settling for it will lead to them doing similar stuff in the future. The items that they're adding go against what they've promised and are leading to a place where microtransactions are the norm, except they'll probably not call them microtransactions.
The fact that it wasn't an apology and more of a sucks you feel that way not we're sorry for our actions. There's a difference
Having separate editions is fine, but going back on previous promises and having a money grab isn't okay. They could have released more cosmetics if they needed more money.

nikita didn't apologize, he said sorry for how we felt, like it was our fault for being mad that he pulled the rug out from under us EOD owners. as for the rest of his post, he's just saying what we want to hear at this point, and he will go back on it. I 100% promise this. just like when he said EOD owners would get arena first, in waves based on when you bought it, yet A LOT of og EOD owners didn't get arena till the day of public release. but if you bought it, you got instant access.... nikitas words have no merit at this point. as for the mod support on PvE, its gonna be a joke, or he will delete and say he never said it. lets not forget he said it wouldnt be till 1.0 release......which is never coming given the current state of the game. What he need to do is team up with spt and make that the official PvE mode. spt is more polished than tarkov is at this point and nikita is too thick headed to see that.
I bought tarkov pre alpha, I bought EOD a few years later.
If I paid $.20 every time I launched tarkov or for every hour I spent in game I would owe BSG money.
So I am more than happy to support good developers and buy unheard.
That being said, I do not really want the extra items or perks.... The grind is getting a bit boring but I don't want to start ahead of everyone.

@@markosz22 you know it's been 8 years and I still play Tarkov. There's still quests I haven't done and parts of maps I haven't fully explored, weapons I haven't really used, there's friends I've made playing that I still talk to outside of game.
It may be in Alpha still, but it's been playable for a long time.
It has had its issues, many off them,.it's been more than unpalyable because of cheaters and BSG hasn't always listened to the players. They are far from perfect.
But its still my favourite game, no other has actually got my heart racing and I've had 8 years of enjoyment for $150.... I feel like I've ripped BSG off.

i love regular tarkov but i cant play it like i used to. i might get on for a few hours each week and i dont always want to run solo raids. i think the pve mode will give many players more access to the game without having to grind it from wipe just to get lvl 30 before the next wipe because you dont play like these other people. little more laid back and a little more "predictable"

Hopefully they give us the pockets, id only upgrade if i kept my gold name with a crown. IMO EoD gets everything that Unheard gets the only reason unheard should be expensive is because its a current day "EoD". There's no longer a sale on it
Also they really goofed adding the "will get future dlc's" or it's a sales tactic just the same as EOD and never meant to be a kept promise
i'm literally getting in the PVE MODE instantly after the loot pools finish loading .. havent had a que time over 1 minute in my last few raids PVE zone
How are they going to provide mod support? The PvE mode still runs on their servers.
They will probably monetize mods aka Ark Survival Ascended and use Overwolf to enforce compliance. Remember I called it here first :).
The ai in sptarkov is nuts. It makes me wonder why it isn’t like that in the main game? The ai can rush you when you heal/reload, they peak corners, blind with flashlights, bunny hop, flank etc. rats chads Timmy ai etc it’s crazy.

How is it 70% off for EOD when it was $100 base and buyers will pay $50-$56 with taxes how’s that 70% they lying again or is 70% considered 50% off to BSG I mean 70% would be $30 instead of $50 from original $100

I knew that the offline mode was going to be riddled with bugs but the whole being able to sell things from offline mode was one that I didn't think would happen (given the claim is true however)
So i havent purchased "Unheard" im EOD but lets say i did buy it and later down the line they release extra stuff for EOD making it better id lose out on that because i wouldn't be able to revert back to EOD im assuming. I think they should just upgrade all EOD to unheard and give out keys to those who upgrade from EOD and spent the money.
My first match took awhile to match but every match since then is 1-3mins max.
1. A problem they created - Their back-end is probably an unoptimized mess just like the entire game is, taking half a server to run a single match and few AIs. No wonder matching is 5-10 minutes.
2. Even if it was true, it would be very limited modding support seeing how the game still runs on THEIR servers. But anything promised "after release" is a lie, because it's not going to happen.
3. Still pay to win.

Hi Sheef, great channel, as a standard tarkov user I missed out on EOD and that’s fine but I agree with you that pve offline could be sold separately, I would buy it, being from Oz to upgrade to this new version would cost me $370 Aussie dollars just nuts, can’t justify that for a video game regardless how good it is.
So now what is the cost
Rule 1 is you NEVER give money back if you can help it. That's why the game keys makes sense, they already have the money, they're not gonna give it back, so what do you do to compensate people? "Oh a free game key!"

I upgraded to unheard for 50, that's reasonable and what the price should have been to begin with. Also i think the "were sorry that you feel this way" is a mistranslation, but I'm a devils advocate type of person anyway so who knows.
I hope BSG releases the PVE version as soon as possible.

way back in the day, before co-op was a thing, offline tarkov used to run on your pc. you'd get lower frames bc your pc essentially was the server, handling all the calculations for the scav ai, etc etc. WHY CAN'T IT STILL BE THIS WAY??????????
"it can't be this way bc what about all the load on your pc" p2p or "peer to peer" matchmaking has been a thing for literal decades, its the reason you can still find servers that have players on the classic modern warfare 2.
EOD would still be around if EOD users didn’t cry about it being a limited edition because they were worried about new people paying to win
Just do the hosting client-side for single-player, and we wouldn't have server issues with it. Sometimes it feels like they don't want solutions. Only problems, it seems.
Easiest way to get into pve if it's taking more than 2 minutes back out of matchmaking and typically after 2 trys it'll load almost immediately

I played SPT for a couple of months b4 buying a Tarkov account 4 years ago, so I could get a feel for the game. Single player as a base or trial makes total sense to me. Now listen to this: it seems theres a hack going around that can find its way into a PvE co-op raid, vacuum clean all the loot and then take all that shit to a PVP for real account. off the charts insane RMT peak. Watch the Flea market.
Question is if EOD upgrade to unheard edition will keep EOD benefits :D that probably will be question for another war.

Why does the offline mode need to be hooked to the internet? Makes no sense. I’ve played it it’s alright and it’s fun to mess around because you always get your gear back.
Just make the wave access go from earliest support date. Very simple. Tarkov turned into a pvp community, but what attracted people at the start were gun modification fanatics who simply just wanted to kit/mod irl guns. I am one of those who has been waiting 7 years just so i can load in and kit out how I feel and give it some test play. The initial investors mainly came for the gun realism not the pvp.
I still think EOD players need the radio, as its new content that we downloaded. Or just remove the radio. Unheard should just get bigger pockets, skills, starting stuff and extra rep. That seems very fair to me.

yeah, Im still really disappointed. It shouldnt even have gotten to this state. They always get away with making bad decisions, show that they dont care about the playerbase and then when we react bad enough they just get a slap on the wrist. Its honestly a little absurd. If I could go back I would have never gotten EoD, I cannot wait for more games to develop in this space. BSG needs to do better.

It’s a good resolution to the situation, but in reality a very small percentage of players are going to waste time in pve mode

I'm OK with waiting for offline mode. I was annoyed about the Arena one because I still didn't get access until after wipe day. That's what annoyed me. Right now, I'm done with PVP until wipe. I'm 100% good with waiting for PvE.
I wish this unheard edition didn't put a sour taste in my mouth. I would have spent money on cosmetics and maybe some stash lines - but I'm not buying shit until they right their wrongs. Even then I don't know. It's going to take a lot for me to even semi-trust them again.
Not enough should not be 250 dollars for a pve co op. Bunch of wtfs. I'm not going to pay for co op as I already did.
That's what I said @SheefGG: it's absolutely nonsense to put PvE behind 250$ as it is for beginners! PvE should be the cheapest Edition of the game so that curious players could test and learn the game and upgrade to PvP when they feel ready or bored. I really hope they will establish this, since most current players aren't even interested in PvE.
Furthermore I hope BSG will sooner than later understand that the community in the first place doesn't hate Unheard due to the benefits that are excluded from EoD owners, but because of the Gamebreakers that the Unheard will bring into the Game.
For me personally, the armor plates and less recoil feels off. I wish they would roll all lot of things back to the state previous 0.14.

waiting in queue for an "offline" mode is outrageously bad design.. should be complete client side unless you wanna coop.
Nikita can barely speak english, I dont think he intentionally meant to say "sorry you feel that way". there's a pretty significant language barrier here that I think most people are purposely ignoring.
they dont NEED any servers for Solo/coop mode..... they could just code it to where the HOST is the HOST and use their PC

How are you going to take this as a win? I purchased EOD as a limited edition and that shit was purchasable for YEARS after. Then they release a "better" version, while excluding their previous EOD owners. It's not about the money, it's about them trying to pull the wool over our eyes and expecting us to just take it. Nikita has done nothing but make excuses in his "apology" posts. We have an incompetent developer team working on this game. They've spread themselves too thin. With Raid, arena, and whatever other side projects Nikita and the team waste their time and company funds on.

did you have a problem when the pestily interview happened and nikita literally said a better edition than EoD was on the way? i recall about 0 people shitting their pants about it then. i feel like eod players are entitled to the Pve mode andd that's it. if something is better than Eod there's gotta be a reason to buy aka something EoD doesn't have
you were part of the issue, EOD was obvious that they'd do a cash grab, in game bonuses for out of game cash based off a tier system, wow how surprised am I that they'll add new more expensive tiers that affect gameplay, EOD players caused this and then are surprised when they have to deal with it, maybe, just fucking maybe, let's not as a community be okay with them having a "limited time" item for 7 years while giving in game bonuses for buying it, it was never a supporters pack, it was a pay to win pack and it's that fucking obvious.
like imagine complaining that it's "because the wool is being pulled over our eyes" when you were just fine with EOD, you were fine with in game bonuses based off a tier system before, but now that there's a new shiny tier with it's own specialties, you guys feel entitled without acknowledging that you yourself are the catalyst that allowed the issue to happen at all, you supporting this system is what kept the system going dumbass, you're just mad that the sun is really bright now that the wool is off, not that it's going back on, you hate what you see, not THAT you see.
@@FriesOnYt Yea of course I had an issue with it. I also had an issue with the stash enhancement and the clothing being purchasable too. That was their way of testing the waters. As soon as Nikita mentioned it in the podcast I got scared of what he'd try next and here it is.

Can somebody explain me how he PvE impacts the PvP? You can make progress in PvE (level, perception and so on) and you could use this when you go into PvP?
Okay, well we need to pump the brakes on the witch hunt. Everyone should establish what would satisfy the community after this rather than just "THIS ISNT GOOD ENOUGH" till the end of time.
On an entirely different note, hopefully they progress the way they’ve been today and they start making the right moves for everyone. The only thing is when the creators come back in time hopefully they spark an improvement on the PvE flea and other AI functionality bullshit, the PvE is an ass mode to be honest in its current state with a highly inflated flea and retarded aimbot like AI all over getting the stupidest kills. I bought it because I have nothing else to play and just wanted to play with friends but I haven’t ever gotten 1 hit in the armpit by 9x18 at any point in the game. This also comes with the decrease in the armpit hitbox and I get shot by a baby round in one hit and same shit happened with buddies, there’s just so much that needs to be fixed in all areas of Tarkov that it really makes me lose faith in them even being able to fix these things.
You spent $100 then they give you a key for the game LMAOOOOO That is legit the worse thing they’ve pulled so far.
The part that I'm most pissed about is how pay to win the Unheard edition is. It is way worse than the EOD perks ever were.
