I love Aunt Jackie's gels. I use don't shrink and ice curls. Wash and go's always look great with no over cast. I have used several different creams but I do an oil before I gel.
What's the difference between the two Aunt Jackie gels?
@@quenquen200726 one, for me, elongates my curls. The other is a more firm hold
Thanks for the upload and congrats on your family's new edition. Consider green tea rinses prior to or post conditioning your hair to minimize shedding.

Oh mama it's ok I remember when it happened to me I freaked out so much but now 4 years later it's grown back much fuller also helped that I don't slay my edges. It going to be ok. She was so worth it. To be a mom is one of the best things in the world. Hang in there you look beautiful.
Shedding is normal, we loose 100 hair a day , so when u derange your getting rid of the dead hair

Looks fantastic!!! I used Pattern Beauty curl mousse with Aunt Jackie’s don’t shrink flaxseed gel and my wash and go came out great! 2nd time I ever really had a wash n go work!

Great result!!! 👍Guess Aunt Jackie and Uncle Funky are married in another life 🤣 I haven't done a wash n go in a while but I usualky cheat with a mousse. I put a ton of mousse in very big sections to predefine my hair then add the gel.
What mousse do you use? And right? Aunt and uncle got us together lol
I'm using Flora & Curl mousse because I'm very picky with ingredients lol but if I wasn't I would also try Design Essentials Almond & Avocado mousse, Camille Rose Spiked Honey mousse, Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey Curl Defining mousse. I live in France so we don't have the Doux mousse def or Miche Set gel to foam mousse but they seem effective with gels

Postpartum shedding happened for me around 3 months then did a double back at 6 months. I couldn’t be prepared for it. I felt like my grandedddyy! I wore the wigs completely glue-less and now It is growing in fast. I’m wearing my hair out again just filling the spaces with a lil eyeliner. You got this! If you feel bad use the Topik hair fibers and then a lil powder when the hair starts filling out again.
Popping hair came gorgeous period
Just drink water etc. I’m 6.5 months postpartum and I haven’t lost that much hair at all. I think the braids did that. I was drinking 12 glasses of water, etc. Breastfeeding dehydrates you. Don’t go more than 2 weeks without washing your hair.

I've done two wash n go's not my first time but loving this style. I want a curly cut now😊. I used the Aunt Jackie dont shrink instead of ice curls...I'll have to try it. Super excited about the wash n go. Looking so good Jen.

Love. I have my appointment for end of June to get a shaped cut and how to handle this new old hair. I'm taking out my braids after 2.5 years of braided styles transitioning to natural. I saw the ice curls and passed thinking to much hold just yesterday. I will be trying this. Thanks fir the video. 🤞🏾

It's good that you dried your hair. I'm learning that we shouldn't let hair stay wet for too long or get it wet a whole lot. It fatigues the hair.
Design essentials curly custard is always my go to! It I haven’t tried it on longer hair just my short cut!
P. S. I considered trying my 1st wash & go because I'm on mat leave. Thanks for the reality check, it clearly takes time but seems worth it.

I recently hopped on Curl Smith In-Shower Style Fixer gel on soaking wet hair (finger raking through in sections) *chefs kiss*
Now, I’m going to try this combo you did next and see if I can add a new routine to bounce between 🙂
Steaming helps to reduce shedding and retain some/most of the hair gained during pregnancy (I recommend steaming from the beginning of pregnancy). I am 9 months postpartum.
Post pregnancy shedding is hormonal. You have to balance the hormone to help but not all of us deal with the imbalance

Wash and go came out beautiful.
Love the total look and the positivity you exude! Not sure if you have tried the Anthony Dickey method for a wash and go, but if you clarify with the K18 Detox Shampoo, use the K18 Leave In Mask for at least 4 minutes then apply lots of your favorite conditioner and detangle, rinse, apply Miss Jessie’s Pillow soft curls and your gel of choice (or sans gel) and add a little water to weigh things down and shake shake shake and DONT TOUCH IT and then use a hooded dryer …. GIRL …. You will shock yourself even more than this beautiful look you have today because really it’s less work. The shaking does the work for you! I promise you won’t be disappointed (other than the price of the K18 😬). Love your channel. 💗💗

hi! i use the uncle funky too with another gel. the uncle funky also makes my hair feel kinda stiff but very defined. then if i add the water and gel right away i don’f have to redetangle!

Idk if you are aware but using curling activator is still chemical processed and will change the texture of your hair. it's just like using curling activators from back in the days. Just a fyi for all natural hair people.
Hmmm… I don’t think these products will permanently alter my curl pattern. They are gels with mainly natural ingredients
