- Опубликовано: 7 мар 2018
- Muay Thai Library project. The man who ruled the Golden Age with charm and technique, called by some the best ever, teaches the secret to it all. Everything to Samart is about Balance. His key is what he called "standing well".
This is a small preview, if you are a patron head on over to the site and watch 80 minutes of glory:

If you aren't a patron yet, you can quickly join (suggested pledge $5). Almost 40 hours of long form video and commentary is in the archive already:
/ muay-thai-uncut-7058199
If you are coming to Thailand you can meet the man himself and train at his newly renovated Bangkok gym: Samart Payakaroon Gym
Thank you to my patrons and the official sponsors of the Preserve The Legacy documentary project BOON Sport in Thailand and @SMAC gym in Australia, who make this kind of archive possible.
You don't have to have power, you have to have balance then you have the power. Seems lit.
There's no technique in power, but there's power in technique.
@@behamut92 agree
Fantastic advice
Yup. Also in this country, you get the money then you get the power. And when you get the power, you get the women.
@@VicksWezaleff lmao Tony
What an honor to be learning from the greatest Muay Thai fighter who ever lived.
He is a legend of Muay Thai. You are lucky to study with him.
From thailand🙏❤️
Seriously. How does one get to train with a Muay Thai legend? This girl must know people lol
Not just only Muay Thai . He is a boxing legend too.
@@ccchrv You call his gym and set an appointment. You pay a few thousand baht per hour.
@@ccchrv this "girl" is a legend herself. Record of 270+ fights in Thailand.
Some call it luck, others call it Googling where he trains, and going there and paying him to train them.
You don't have to write champion this champion that to describe him, just write: The greatest Muay Thai fighter of all time.
make your own vlog, Expert!
Mark Lord He's paying a complement to Samart. One that Sylvie would no doubt agree with.
Sylvie, the way you are documenting these lessons, it's amazing, it's like the kind of thing that should be put into the Library of Congress and preserved for future generations.
My hope is that this preserves as much of this as possible.
Great Advice
" Power Comes from Balance "
Samart was a WBC Boxing Champion, and he was sharing some very key elements of western Boxing.
Ok, thats why. I was already wondering if he did western boxing normally I don't see Thais box like that.
I was gonna say the same thing. I was like, "WTH is she talking about?! This is how you box!" Didn't realize some people STILL don't know that western boxing is a big part of modern day Muay Thai.
@@teeoh9192yeah sure within all arts ,boxing is master of hand user. And dominate in world’s spotlight for long. Nak Muay fight with boxer a lot in the past so need to know opponent.
What boxing lesson is being taught please
this theory is common in all arts , its the body connection that creates the power, using your structure in a way thats connected from the ground to the hands and with relaxed muscles causes crazy power without muscle tensing and swinging very hard. So few can actually apply it well, of course he can , its awesome to see him sharing his technique!!
Sylvie, I'm new to Muay Thai, your passion for this art has made me realize there's so much depth to study and learn from. I've learned so much from you, that fact you share all this is so amazing.
Samart is hero master of
MuayThai.
The best of the best.
I can't believe it. This is Samart! My favorite muay-thai figther ever. Thanks for this video.
A highly technical, clever and even CRAFTY fighter.
My favourite fighter of all time. Mixed boxing timing, angles and punching mechanics to create a beautiful system.
I practice this everytime I'm generating power, it has to be effortless, relaxed and all about balance. after years, I'm still fine tuning it, these days I can confidently generate power with little intent to do so, all just knowing how to move and stay relaxed.
It's amazing how much you can generate force through alternative sources than share exertion/intent
Damn. A real legend of the golden age of MT
He's a champion in and out of the ring..very humble man.
I’ve been watching your videos for the past two days. I’m pledging now. I’ve been practicing Muay Thai for half a year now and I’m always looking to learn - even when I’m not in the gym.

I love Samart Pakayaroon. He is definitely one of the best, if not the best, Muay Thai fighter.
You are sooo lucky Samar he s legend the best of MuayThai ever
youve got a coach that is the best muay thai fighter in history.
Is it buackaw is the best?
SOULTECKA MUSIC no it’s not fool. He truly is one of the best Thai fighters in Muay Thai combat history
@@soultekkamusic115 He is regarded as the GOAT buy alot of people including us Thais, I would also consider him the best.
@@SPcapx what about Ramon Dekker's??
@@soultekkamusic115 Dekker is one of the best foreigner muay thai fighter in the history. He can beat many of thai fighters BUT Many of thai fighters can beat him also. You can search in youtube . And dont campare Dekker with samart.even Buakaw cant compare with samart. samart is like a god of muay thai better than the others thai fighters that Dekker beats .
Samart fuses his boxing into his muay more seamlessly and fluidly than any other fighter I've seen. Anderson Silva is the only one I could think of that comes close
He just moves and flows like a boxer and so beautifully and intelligently applies western boxing footwork to muay thai. I love how smart of a fighter he was
I am from Thailand and I can assure you that he is the greatest Muay Thai fighter of all time.
It must be an honor being by the legend
I'm glad he picked up on you dropping your guard after the jab...
Damn samart is a legend
How I wish I had this opportunity. I can tell you appreciate the value of your opportunity, but use it wisely!
Thank you Sylvie and Grandmaster Samart ❤️ from Philippines 🙏🇵🇭
wow you trained with Samart. That's incredible
Tyson did similar with his constant movement and ducks followed by hooks and uppercuts. Same idea, but up and down movement instead of the back and forth. Very useful tips. Thanks.
This reminded me of when I used to learn a shot put sport, at first i was afraid i cannot do well becoz of my thin arm have no muscle compare to my others friends. But my teacher told that you dont have to worry becoz the power comes from the right stance and balance and yea he really correct about that, I can throw it farer than most of my friends.
Awesome!!
I was watching this because I wanted to see the inspiration for Samart Sirinto in Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru. I ended up learning some new stuff that I wanna try in my sessions.
So true ! Now putting into practice is another story. And with the adrenaline….
Keep up the great work !!!!
I love watching Western boxing. There are so few fighters like him that could cross over from being a kickboxer to a boxer and fight at the highest level.
No doubt one of the Muay Thai greats, but an over-rated boxer. Watch his fight with Jeff Fenech where he ran for 3 rounds, gassed out, then turned into a human punching bag.
Gordon Lister Fenech was great. Could make a punching bag out of a lot of guys. Hard to outlast him in a fight.
For sure, but I remember watching that fight, and losing a considerable amount of money. I'd seen Payakaroon fight in Thailand, and thought he would give Fenech a run for his money, but he had no offence, and leaky defence....now if he'd been able to use a few low leg kicks :-)
Gordon Lister I agree. To be honest, I don't know a whole lot of Muay Thai at all. I just knew that this guy was one of the very few to cross over and win a title in boxing. Sorry to hear about the money.
keep watching this channel you'll learn a lot about Muay Thai. Sylvie is one of the best ambassadors for the sport Thailand should give her a plack or something
why does this vid not have billions
คนนี้คือที่สุดของมวยเชิงแล้ว FC . He's the best Muay Thai . that right
Watched some his fights on youtube. Amazing movement and control x

you are an inspiration. thanks for your updates and amazing vids with the best of the best Sylvie
That's a very inspiring take away, thanks! The power comes out of the balance.
Seems like a pretty humble guy.
This girl flinched ZERO times when seeing those mitts coming to her face. Insta-subscribed.
Why should she? She is a world class fighter.
@@theoutlander2873 Mayweather flinched everytime real men like Maidana and Cotto would come after him ;)
@@Venezuelangel Well, that's Mayweather. He didn't lose, though.
@@theoutlander2873 If referees weren't a hypocritical regarding clinching in boxing, I don't thjink Mayweather would have had a career. Boxing and soccer were my favorite sports to watch, until corrupt referees ruined them.
my favourite muay thai boxer of all time genius
Your videos are simply fantastic. Thank you Sylvie
Thank you for this lesson! :D Worth more than gold!
I know their skills are lethal, but this is so cute :-)
samart goat legend live!!
He was not a hard puncher or kicker, but his unique techniques plus super sharp eye with a great a slap thrust kick make him the best of all time.
The ultimate legend

Dream come true...
Wow , Training with the legend of Muaythai boxer.
I would LOOVVVE to see more Samart videos. There's not a lot of videos about his lessons
He is very good
Thumbs up on this one. Good work!
The SNK MMA game "BURIKI ONE" has a Muay Thai kickboxer from Thailand named "PAYAK SIPITAYAK", who's based on SAMART PAYAKAROON
The jade faced tiger, i love this guy
his philosphy comes down to one simple sentence: accuracy and power by means of concise/balanced inertia control with respect to techniques(types of damage done to human body)
ok the word simple is misused in the above but other then that yes
That is just radical
Excellent video
thank you! love Samart, I am jealous!
I know this man! So awesome!!
He has some good skills. He must be really samart
if you have balance and technique you will knock people out all the time
and it will look good when you do it, which is not the main thing but it is a nice bonus
A good example of pristine punching technique would be former junior middleweight champion, Julian Jackson. His form and leverage when throwing hooks was phenomenal. Wilder on the other hand, is a fucking genetic freak that dusts heavyweights despite the sloppy form.
The Hawk ! Certainly in the hat for the hardest hitter of all time. Fella was a beast !
Samart techniques is so sharp and precise just like Conor Mcgregor said timing beat speed precision beat power
Conor huh lol
LOL, Conor gasses in two rounds. Get off the crack my son.
@@87mjung To be fair: Samart wasn't known for having great cardio himself. In fact, his stamina was terrible. But he possessed great technique, quick reflexes, and excellent fighting instincts. Even when he got tired in a fight, he still gave his opponents hell.
Very good
🙏🏾 thank you for sharing!
Great!
great narration. Thanks.
that must have been an amazing experience
Love your videos! I'm fighting next month in mma literally trying to have my page be like yours!
It looks hard when you follow enough boxing it looks very explosive when samart knocks somebody out
Your videos are awesome!!
At the end Silvie smiles so sweet :P
Sylvie you are hero of the people! Where is the video of your personal journey on how you started and why you do muay thai?
You can google my name and "podcast" to find where I've been interviewed or type my name and "why I do Muay Thai" into RUclips for my own vlogs :)
Thats my uncle Samart!
big inspiration
Awesome
Keeping your elbows tucked close gives you a bit more of power, through combined anatomical structure rather than just muscle strength/power alone. Which also assists in keeping your balance by not having flailing elbows, etc. Thereby maximizing speed for power(Mass x Acceleration=Force, right?) Along with accuracy to create greater effect. All about efficiency and economy of motion...or I'm just speaking nonsense...lol
Most ancient arts use this technique. When you sit on your tailbone(butt), your glutes and core(psoas) acts like a spring or suspension. This is how KO power is developed. All martial arts start with the RUUP(structure)
Sylvie you’re a legend ❤️
Epic. People in America won't appreciate this, but imagine if Muhammad Ali was around and kicking giving lessons on RUclips
I noticed he goes on the other side of his feet when he turn with his feet 🔥🔥🔥
somewhat of a bruce lee ideology with a big emphasis on balance, love it!
But, maybe this is sacrilege, Bruce Lee was not proven in the ring.
