  • Muay Thai Library project. The man who ruled the Golden Age with charm and technique, called by some the best ever, teaches the secret to it all. Everything to Samart is about Balance. His key is what he called "standing well".
This is a small preview, if you are a patron head on over to the site and watch 80 minutes of glory:
    / samart-balance-17174396
If you aren't a patron yet, you can quickly join (suggested pledge $5). Almost 40 hours of long form video and commentary is in the archive already:
    / muay-thai-uncut-7058199
If you are coming to Thailand you can meet the man himself and train at his newly renovated Bangkok gym: Samart Payakaroon Gym
Thank you to my patrons and the official sponsors of the Preserve The Legacy documentary project BOON Sport in Thailand and @SMAC gym in Australia, who make this kind of archive possible.

this theory is common in all arts , its the body connection that creates the power, using your structure in a way thats connected from the ground to the hands and with relaxed muscles causes crazy power without muscle tensing and swinging very hard. So few can actually apply it well, of course he can , its awesome to see him sharing his technique!!

Keeping your elbows tucked close gives you a bit more of power, through combined anatomical structure rather than just muscle strength/power alone. Which also assists in keeping your balance by not having flailing elbows, etc. Thereby maximizing speed for power(Mass x Acceleration=Force, right?) Along with accuracy to create greater effect. All about efficiency and economy of motion...or I'm just speaking nonsense...lol
