Hi AR Robb, I was using the Kriss mag catch and one day at the range it just snapped off at the ping pong paddle part. So maybe worth going with the Ar mag catch instead. 😉
Fantastic video and a great break down! The reason the springs aren't included is just because most folks are running the 15-22 mags and so there hasn't been as much demand for them. I haven't tested the BDM gen 3 mags in a while and had been under the impression that those still wouldn't be consistent even with a lighter spring. I'll re-test the CMMG and BDM mags and if I can recreate the same results, I can start including the springs with the orders as they bring a ton of value. The Catch22 lightened spring might still be too strong for the Gen3s as well. If that's the case, we'll start stocking new ones. Thanks again for the great info
@@arrobb3893 Great to hear about the spring! It's really unfortunate about the CMMG mags, but I'm sure they'll fix it soon enough with a future release.
UPDATE....after some investigation seems the problem with the new cmmg mag was due to the Winchester white box hollow points I was using. Switched to better ammo and all is well!
Thank you sir for this video, I have a question is it possible to change the barrel with ruger 10/22 inox fluted, and change the trigger block I have a KRISS DMK22C ARCA-SWISS Black cal.22 Lr Thank's Mister.
I have my dedicated 22lr lower set up with the catch 22 bolt catch and the reduced power spring they sell. In my pistol it has been 100% reliable holding open the bolt with the gen 2 cmmg magazines. It might take some trial and error, but I imagine you could get the same result by trimming down a standard spring. ruclips.net/video/okfhR67o9Zg/видео.html
Great video Bob. Thanks for sharing this info.
Thank you sir for this video. ALso your voice is amazing for narratives.

Apparently the Black Dog 32rd mag has ben changed (Gen III) and is now compatible with the Catch-22.
Great video thanks for the help.
Borebuddy makes upgraded springs for the cmmg that solve this issue.

Got your lighter spring last week and happy to say all mags are good, all hold the bolt open! CMMG gen 3 mag sucks! Getting stove pipes and jams!

@@arrobb3893 Ah, great! 22lr ammo is so finnicky... glad to hear it's an easy fix though.
I sooooOOOOOOO prefer a well-spoken Presenter even if the information isn't as valuable... however, THIS IS VALUABLE INFO AS WELL; THX!

Hey Robb, does the Kriss bolt catch work with the older CMMG mags ?
They do not work with the bolt catch because they lack the tab that pushes up the catch. However, they will still work in the rifle.
Kriss bolt catch and that new Cmmg mag with that spring give 100% lock back.
