Hi! I'm enjoying watching your videos. I'm a beginner / novice "sewer". I searched your channel looking for how to draft the basic/base bodice pattern (from and back), but I couldn't find a video. Please consider posting a video on how to draft a basic/base bodice pattern. Thank you!
Hi Suzanne, what sort of card/paper do you use for your blocks and pattern drafting? And where do you source it from? I love watching your patterning videos. I use tissue paper or dot and cross for pattern drafting but would like to get my block onto card and have been wondering what to use that’s easily transportable and accessible. Ideas would be appreciated!
Hi Jenny, I use just standard parcel paper for pattern drafting 👍 for blocks I’ve used a few different types of card and thick paper, for me the best of which is the card you get from art/stationery stores. I’ll try to find the link and let you know👍
Hi Jenny, I’ve had a look in the shop where I get my preferred card for block making, it’s called: mount-board, size A1. Unfortunately they don’t have it listed on their website 🙁
you can use poster board for the blocks. If you're in the US, Walmart carries a heavy weight poster board that's a little sturdier than regular poster board.
That’s very kind Nancy, I haven’t made a woven version myself so couldn’t say for sure but I would imagine the slash neck may be a little uncomfortable in a woven style 🤔
You make this fantastic design look so effortless. How long does it take you to come up with these or do you just knock them out perfectly every time? 😂
Hi Susanne!! Wonderful vlog.. Piping at neckline/shoulders is an nice feature.. For being a t-shirt you can really dress it up/down....
💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
I like this and will be trying it this week. Thank you.
Thank you very much Suzanne, your visual techniques sure do make things easily understood. I really enjoy them along with your makes.

I love your Tee . How did you learn how to draft your own patterns ?
Great little top, thanks for sharing!
Did you need to adjust the sleeve cap as you trimmed some off the armhole area? Love your vlogs they are so inspiring Jayne x
Fabulous Suzanne love it 😍

I'm in awe of your patterning knowledge...such an inspiration. I wonder if I could use this pattern with a woven (linen). Thoughts?

Genius x
When you shortened the shoulder and modified the armhole, do you need to make any adjustments to the shape of the sleeve cap to compensate?

Did you move the bust dart from your shirt block to the waist? You didn’t mention where the original dart went. 😃
When drafting the original block used here (loose fitting shirt block), the darts are excluded, not at this patterning stage👍.
Where did u get your French curve tool?
A local sewing shop who unfortunately don’t have a website 🙁
