  • Hi folks, in this weeks video I show how I made my latest T-shirt. If you watched my plans video you will know that I was aiming to come up with a T-Shirt made from woven and jersey fabrics for a couple of friends, neither of which have an overlocker so I had to get creative on the construction method. I was able to do this by using a fabulous tip supplied by Wendy B, see “the making of a twist neck dress” for details. Thanks again Wendy 👌I hope you enjoy. Susanne 💕

This top is lovely. I really appreciate the wonderful contrast of the fabric colours too. It makes the demonstration so much clearer and easier when trying to understand the different facets of the design. Beautifully crafted, both the top and the video.

Susanne, very well done as usual! Your top is beautiful and packs so many wonderful techniques inside. I really like every detail, the use of 2 different types of fabric, the neckline, and the piping. I have only used bias tape to hem in a way that I didn't want it to show. I have learned from you how to properly sew bias tape on a hem when you want it to show. You came up with some great ideas! I do not have an overlocker & my zigzag cam inside my machine no longer works on my 30 something yr. old viking. For the first time, I recently sewed the flat felled seams on 8 pairs of flannel pajama shorts I made for my two daughters & two of my grandsons. In the curve at crotch area I used homemade flannel bias tape. I made one piece patterns with no side seams. Thanks so much for teaching me so many things today.. Take care & God Bless.

Absolutely gorgeous, finished with amazing precision. Your girlies are lucky to get all those invaluable tips, oh, and of course you too 🙄😉.
The tip for the hem works beautifully if doing a curve or a circle skirt as it makes it so much easier as we saw with your hem
Perfect and so pretty on you.
Is there a colour you don't suit 🤔, I know you love blues and cobalt, you seem to be able to wear any colour, which is terrific, I'm emerald with envy 🤢🤭😍

Oh, how I missed your videos while I was away Susanne! Well, I'm back and now I'm going to catch up on what I have missed! As always, a clear, concise and brilliant tutorial (it's the first 'burrito method' tutorial I have ever understood, you explain it so simply! I also loved that you put the bias tape on the neckline BEFORE stitching the front and back together . . . genius! It makes a 'fiddly' job so much more simple! Another tip I loved, was the stitch line to guide your hem folding! I learn so much from you!! You are the best! The little top is stunning and looks so high end (as all your makes do). As always TFS your talent! Off to watch the pattern drafting now! 👍👍😍❤😘
