If you ever cut classes in high-school and found it more challenging when the principal was at guarding the exit will understand of "testing " a few miles away from five law enforcement officers. 😁😁
This bike almost acts like a 1200. It is a very impressive machine. You have a really strong launch technique. I think the numbers at the drag strip are going to be good.
I would say you did a better job without traction control engaged. Your experience certainly shows through. You have to have very good throttle and clutch control to set off like that and keep everything under control. Glad the cops kept away during your testing. Cheers
I'm surprised they didn't hear me or glad they ignored me . The trouble I have at the drag strip is too much traction on stock wheel based bikes . Wheelies are often the consequence.
Love the pre -season testing. I can imagine the local law enforcement arriving, thinking they are dealing with some young tearaway. Wonder if Mr Bill has anything to counter the Kawasaki at the drag strip?
Almost everything that I run into nowadays at the drag strip has 200 horsepower which includes Mr. Bill's Rocket 3. Most have extended swing arms, air shifters and launch control or breakout boxes. There is hardly anyone out there anymore that comes to race with 100 horsepower and traditional shifting. Unless Mr. Bill goes to sleep the Kawasaki with me on it has no chance.
@@flatcapcaferacer Jerry, I'm glad I stumbled across this video and found this channel again! I've been struck lately by the idea of maybe selling my MT-07 next year and picking up a Z900RS as a replacement as I love the styling of them. While I did enjoy racing my MT-07 at Firebird, I am officially in the camp of having all of the above you listed, as I have finished converting my ZX-14 to a dedicated drag bike. I am now running pretty consistently in the 8.90s. It is extremely fun but I agree, a stock street bike is no match. Short wheelbase bikes are just so difficult to launch hard. Maybe I'll get to say hello to you and Mr Bill at one of the Fall test days this year, it's such a bummer Firebird stopped doing the all bike night!
@DylanMiller6298 Dylan your a very nice guy and racer to boot. Anytime you want to try the Kawasaki you are more than welcome to take mine out for the afternoon. I look forward to seeing you out at Firebird but I certainly don't want to race you anymore 😀😀

You know better than I do. What I do know is that I miss that roar and it was good to hear it again. All the best FC. Jeff.
😂😂 It is a pretty awesome bike. I'm just starting to get my head around what it is capable of and how to ride it.
Beautiful machine 😍
That’s a pretty neat spot to get a few launches from, looks like fun! It’s pretty neat how easy all that stuff is to you!
😁 It's always easy until it goes pear shaped

😄😄 Not strong enough to beat a 200 horsepower Rocket 3 in the quarter mile though.

@@flatcapcaferacer definitely understandable that you wouldn't want to go head to head anymore haha. I may have to take you up on that offer one day!
@DylanMiller6298 Just let me know Dylan
Did you ever find out what all those cops were up to?
No, but I wasn't so curious as to stop and ask😉
