Great looking cruiser without a doubt. The Elephant in the Room is the awful, laggy display in my opinion. Even you found it a bit frustrating. Most of the information that you need is available on google maps (and who doesn’t have a phone?) How much cooler if you had a nice analog speedo with just basic trips and fuel gauge. It is though the Indian manufacturers were trying too hard to put a modern twist on an otherwise great bike. I realise that I may be the only one who thinks this.

Also, Triumph take note, that's how you do a TFT dash without ruining a modern classic (I cant believe the cheap and nasty monstrosity they've dumped onto the premium 2025 Speed Twin 1200s which had such lovely elegant analogue/digital units prior)...

Brockhouse engineering in Southport, who made Corgi motorcycles, acquired the Indian name in 1955 and actually manufactured Indians. Although they bore no resemblance to the original bikes. Indian also manufactured bikes with Royal Enfield engines. So there is actually a strong connection to the U.K. with Indian motorcycles.

Freddie, if you fancy a Lake District trip anytime I have the same bike but in silver, it’s the best bike I’ve had over the years, I went to southern France on it last year 3,000 mile round trip, I have changed the seat to a saddleman, necessary for comfort and also to feel planted on the bike. I ride in standard mode unless round town but when you put into sport mode the bike changes significantly and I found I was slipping of the seat, the saddleman keeps you planted in the bike and aids reversing with the uplift behind the front seat, also canvas saddlebags fitted, so all easy to fit. Enjoy your time with the bike you’ll have fun I’m sure.

Bought one of these a few months ago. Can tell you its got around 85hp at the rear wheel. The satnav can bug out when you turn the bike off then turn it back on shortly afterwards, which is annoying when you refuel. The stock seat is only good for around half an hour of riding after that it becomes really quite uncomfortable. Range on the tank is around 200miles. And last of all out of all the bikes I've owned it's by far the one that gets the most attention, I literally get random people coming up to me to let me know it's the coolest bike they've ever seen.

CMC (ThunderRoad) has gone into administration. They shut doors on Thursday 3rd October for audit stock taking. They said they will be back open Monday but I doubt it will be as normal if not at all. I bring this up because ThunderRoad, Bridgend is an Indian dealership

The "computer loading up" sound is likely to be the fuel pump priming...best to wait for it to finish before hitting the starter.

As a previous owner of 5 Harley's I was pleasantly surprised when I recently went into an Indian/Royal Enfield dealership at the the model diversity and quality. Made Harleys look like an old and boring truck. Should I ever feel the need to return to a big vtwin it would be 200% for sure an Indian 😮

Interesting bike, slightly pretty. I remember seeing the original Indian scout bobber at the Montreal motorcycle show in 2013 I think? That was a lovely looking bike the cylinders look like they were sandcast. It had a very original and classic look it was also $10,000
The issue with Indians now is they are so expensive and a lot of that originality has disappeared. If you put a Harley badge on this bike, nobody was really know the difference. For my money, the Triumph Bobber would be the winner, better handling, more affordable, better looking…And potentially a better resale value? All the same I’m glad to see that you’re riding a bike that you desire and showing us all ,keep up the great work. Hi Monica!

Definitely a beautiful looking Powerplant and the instrument technology is very impressive, however a shame about the slow processing. As I mentioned in another video, the engine seems to take a few rotations to fire, but maybe that’s a V2 characteristic. If I was in the market for this kind of motorcycle, my choice would be the Triumph Rocket III. However and keep in mind, I’ve never ridden either of these bikes or a late model HD. Stay safe.

At least you've got time to go and have a coffee after you've turned the ignition on before you can ride off. 👍. The problem with built in satnavs is they are always out of date and invariably cost a fortune for a manufacturers update - a very old school system that's pretty much defunct now.

Another thought provoking video on what looks like a very well finished quality product with a distinct American machine that has embraced hi tech yet not lost its character. I have said this before Freddie you should ride another big V twin, the Moto-Guzzi V100S Mandello, that is another characterful tech fest with an ability to eat miles that would suite your passion for going places.

I will pull you up on your red bike analogy, as I have the speedmaster Chrome, which is effectively a red and chrome tank and I believe it looks good.
I will also concur with you on how cool the bike looks and I have always had a soft spot for Indian motorcycles, maybe due to a fantasy magazine hero who rode an Indian which was also red (I believe it might have been back street heroes magazine). I also visited an American car dealership in Munich while I was working down there which also incorporated Indian motorcycles and had an old machine in there displays.
I also concur that we probably have an ideal bike and although I have the speedmaster and a royal Enfield Himalayan 452, I would definitely say that the Indian you have there is probably it, alongside similar style HD.
I cannot afford one yet but never say never.
PS, when I was a youngster I am sure Ipswich Town were a top tier team (1st division ) back in the day.

Good looking bike 🏍 but good luck on attaching any kind of bag to the rear fender., without ruining the paintwork. The pillion seat 💺 might have aided in luggage carrying. Like my RE GT with it's solo seat, there is no option for more than a coffee stop., but I do have the standard seat that makes carrying a small bag possible. A lot to pay for a coffee getting machine. I'd rather see you and Monika riding to a coffee shop. 👍👍
