Thank you Stuart for the great walk thru. I was able to set my station up with ease following your video. Now I'm ready for FD! Thanks again and 73, Gary WB9AYD
Glad it helped you get it going! Have a great Field Day. I'll be working 15M from the Reagan Library. A mixture of Voice and Digital. Hope we can connect. Stu AG6AG
Thanks Stuart, you made a great video on how to do this. Very easy to pause the video while i'm configuration both software. I'm familiar with both N1MM and WSJT. Now i'm looking forward to my first contest on FT8. I joined a ham friend couple a days ago, when he did a Scandinavian test on 6M and FT8. It was fun. Thanks again. the best 73 de Per LA4ESA
Very nice video Stuart, I had use it to do my two radios setup for the next ARRL VHF June 2022 contest. Was great to see in the screen of station calling CQ CO2WP SK station, my personal friend. Thanks fer the video.
Thanks for this video. I've had my general for a couple of years now. Contact/Contest loggers have been my biggest grip, trying to find the ideal one for both casual contacts and contests. I started with HRD logger but was turned off by true FSK RTTY support for the SCU-17 and log formats causing me issues with contests. I had already started using N1MM for RTTY but this is helpful for the WSJT-X integration.
Thanks for the video! I just discovered N1MM and hope to use it for FD along with WSJTX. My plans are to run (2) 7300's on (2) computers. I am gonna try a mock setup before FD to get everything talking. I am not sure if I can have each computer set to 2237 to communicate, but I need to test that. I was curious how CAT was gonna work with 2 programs wanting access. Thanks again Gary
Hey Stuart. Thanks for video. All work but i have a problem in N1MM. What are the settings in H1MM or WSJT-X to display the decoded signals in the N1MM -"WSJT -X Decode-list" window? 73, de LZ1INP
Thanks. Does one need DX LAB SUIT installed in spite not using it actually? Will the setup be the same for JTDX? An eye opener indeed despite being a bit too long...73
Hi Tsachyl, No, you do not need DX Lab Suite installed. As a matter of fact you should not be running DX Lab Suite when using WSJT-x with N1MM+. What the N1MM+ developers did is to setup a connection in their software that receives the DX Lab Suite client packets (from WSJT-x) and use those for it's connection to the WSJT-x software. Hope that clears it up! Stu AG6AG
Stuart, I appreciate this video. It was helpful in allowing me to connect all this software to my Flex6300 and make my first JT8 contact. Thank you... One thing that you mentioned in the video was having the "audio being hot" (about 11:58 in the video) and then you moved on. In my situation, I'm saturating (red bar) the WSJT-X application. How do I correct this? 73 Mark - K4EH
Hi Mark, Glad you got up and going on this. As for setting the values for your audio card built into the Flex, You will need to go into your audio settings on the computer and adjust the mic level for the rig. Here is a video I did for FM data volume settings, but it should help you in finding your adjustments on your PC: ruclips.net/video/o2wUt7AJ5xk/видео.html Hope that helps! Stu AG6AG
Thanks Sheldon Is there any way to get rid of the warning dialog box? Is there a benefit to running WSJT from N1MM vs running it independently and sending the log messages to N1MM?
Hi Marc, If the warning screen you are talking about is the one that N1MM pops up to tell you that WSJTx is running in it's control, then no, there is no way to disable that screen. It's a control screen for N1MM. The main advantage to using WSJTx inside of N1MM is that you get accurate indications of what you have worked before in that particular contest. It also eliminates the need to import into N1MM at the end of the contest to send in your entry. Hope that answers your questions, Stu AG6AG
Hi Kishor, I'm assuming you are talking about the WSJT-x file? If so then the down side is that file is not stored in ADF format. There is a CSV file in the C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\WSJT-X-ForEW1\ named ALL .txt. You can use an ADIF editor program to import them into you log, but I'm not sure what all that would entail on the WSJT-x side... Hope that clears things up. Stu AG6AG
@@AG6AG thank you STUART for reply, yess it solve all my doubts,,,, your video on n1mm with wsjt setup is wonderful,,, that set up working fine with my IC7300 AND WIN 10 SET UP ,, Thank you again 73 , waiting for more informative videos from you ,👍
KN6JIG I live here in Simi Valley and I listen to you on the radio I have a baofeng UV are tri-band I love how you're trying to figure out how I can get my first Contact
That's unnecessarily complex. Will just run F.D. from WSJT-X and use their log instead of N1MM's log. Using Grid Tracker makes for a nice map that catches the public's eye.
Hi Richard, In our case, we run 15 or so stations and want real time consolidation of the Field Day log. This solution does that. But you certainly can just take the log out of WSJTx and make your entries that way. Stu AG6AG
Thanks Stu, your videos have helped me get all my digital software running in N1MM. Life is good. 👍
