Really well done. This helps us understand some things that I did not quite grasp in the run through of the learn to play guide. Thank you for putting out this video. Now, we are ready to resume our adventure.
@writerguy911 Once you are done with the tea, get some wine and think ... "that 3D terrain sure would look great for my roleplaying games!" And agreed, it is a hefty price, so if the 3D terrain in your roleplaying doesn't take you over the edge, you'll need to find a way to convince one of your friends to make the purchase. ;) That's generally the best way to test games, and also where I think I fit in my game group. lol
Looks good, I like the new updated artstyle. It is almost but not quite Supergiant Game-ish (fitting, the cutscenes feel very much like Pyre). It's a nice departure from the usual "this looks like a Magic The Gathering card" direction. Can't wait to try it to see how the room setup works. Looking for the specific art puzzle tiles in Imperial Assault has always been a pain in the butt, especially with the tiny room connector ones.
@Polda This game definitely needs some table space ... for the game and getting the tiles somewhat laid out so you can find the ones you need. :) I have enjoyed my plays so far (so far just 3 plays of the initial campaign while teaching others). :)
Thanks Dale, as always clear and concise, I have no idea why FFG can't do instructional videos with your quality, instead of larking about and swearing. The app is amazing, it takes away all the fiddly aspect of dungeon delving. Nice paint jobs. 👍👍
On the first chest, you rolled 5 successes and two advantage. Add the 1 from Agility gives you 6 successes. Shouldn't you have had to place 2 fatigue to convert the two advantages to successes to get to your 8 total?
@LedMagnet. Correct, at first glance for me I saw all successes instead of the one facing of 2 success and 2 advantage. I’ll get used to the dice soon. :) Thanks!
That app is doing a lot of work. I like a lot of what I see here though. The map building has me grinning. Not in favor of letting the computer do inventory. Sure it’s tons more convenient but the dwarf in me like shuffling through physical booty. I’ve started plotting how our spare room could be outfitted with a cheap ikea dining table and be left set up for games like this and (soon) Frosthaven. Safe from the Cats of Chaos.
@JJE McManus The app really is well done. I would like a little more assistance for crafting as it can get confusing what items go to which weapon ... or at least for me anyway with just a couple plays. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer I do understand that all too well. But the only time this app needs anything from the humans is die rolls. It doesn’t seem to care where or if you move. Just drag a hero to a target and it merrily goes about it’s business. The environments you build are tremendously impressive but the impact you have on the game is just the die roll. Swamp me with inventory bits and least I can lie to the computer and tell it I have sixteen raccoon pelts. At least then I would feel like I had some agency. In video games too often the human component is at service to the device (CoD or WoW for examples) whereas board games it’s the other way around. Often it devolves into pure chaos and I love it. But by all means play on McDuff. I’m enjoying the darn thing way too much.
@Janos Geronimo Thanks for watching! D&D puts out dice sets that comes with dice trays and a highly recommend getting a set. Here is a link to one unboxing: ruclips.net/video/kFLiHpHi-34/видео.html Hope that helps, and may your dice roll in your favor! :)
Hi thanks for the play thrue , one little question if we make a mistake ….. say i choose the wrong ennemty for a hero to fight is there a way to go back ?
Just finished Gloomhaven JoL with my wife, this might be our next long game, something a bit easier to run will be nice... (the only thing I don't really like is the artstyle, the anemic elf and that helmet :o)
@aSyphodias lol Yes, that helmet always makes me think of a dog running though a door with a stick in its mouth ... fortunately, she hasn't had any trouble with doors in the game, yet. ;)
I’ve heard people prefer gloom haven a lot over this game when it comes to combat etc. Supposedly this game just ends up being everyone attacks twice until the monsters are dead. Go to the next room everyone attacks twice until the monsters are dead. Repetitive and boring. It’s quite pretty an interesting with the 3-D tiles set and beautiful minis. But that still doesn’t make a good game. What are you guys think?
@Board game fan Picking the weapon used prior to the attack will let the app know which type of attack is being used. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching! :)
Great Video.. just to clarify if anyone might get confused, that you used a Chrome book or something like it, not a PC.. since it runs on Chrome OS or Android, not native PC, although you could with an emulator, but not worth it.
@Mike M44 For this playthrough I was using a laptop running Windows 10. I have also played using my ipad. No issues running either. Thanks for watching!
it is not like a mobile app with additional charges and paywalls.. you have to buy the box to play, or it will play very strange.. you could and I have, with just the dice and the cards,.. and fudge the terrain .. but its not the same. Anyway.. the app is great, like having an AI DM.. but for a single player its not bad. the mini are amazing in this FFG product.. even BETTER than Games Workshop .. bargain price in comparison.. you get a game ready to play.. with 40k you spend months painting 40 minies.. that last 5 min on the table top.. not to mention the books and other stufff.. you could spend thousands on that.. but that's another story.. GW has gone insane..
@@xtrakewlguy666 I think a multiplayer video game would be fairly difficult, especially since it’s not in Fantasy Flight’s wheelhouse. But they may be heading that way, lol! In the meantime, think of this as a f2f lightweight D&D game with an automated DM.
@dudedavid Here is a link to some close-up pics. All done with contrast paints except the "fire" which was done with dry-brushing from light colors to darker. Hope that helps! :)

Any idea on how to choose Kehli or Chance as characters on the app? I cant figure it out. It only lets me choose from the other 4 characters
They become options after the initial scenario.

Were you supposed to click piercing or blunt on the attacks?

You call that a quick paintjob.....if I take a year off I can't get that amazing painted mini's :o
How much table space will I need for this game? I want to buy it but I don't want to waste my money if I don't have room for it.
I did not complete the quest, but my 4' x 4' table was able to work. :)
Is the app of this game compatible with an andrpid box tv? Or something similar?
It's a free download, so you could try. I don't have access to that.
