Thank you for bringing your videos to those of us limited to English! Your presentation is excellent, the quality of your videos is amazing. I have about 2/3 of the games in your top 15 and enjoy every one of them. Your taste in dungeon crawlers aligns with mine, I appreciate that you also delve into medium to heavy games. Please keep the videos in english coming!
One of the best videos I have seen this year. I loved that you explained your choices clearly and compared them to others on the list. Is there any chance you would do one for adventure games too?
Omg I love your presentation and how the entire video is produced; great quality & filmed very well. As a native speaker of English I was pleasantly surprised to hear the video in English (so I could understand it!).
I am very happy that you liked my recording. I put a lot of work and commitment into the preparation. And I'm even more happy that everything I say is understandable for you, because I still need to improve my English.
Thank you for this video. Here is my Top 10: 1. Gloomhaven/Jaws of the Lion 2. Sword & Sorcery 3. Descent 2nd 4. Imperial Assault 5. Massive Darkness 2 6. Mansions of Madness 7. LoTR Journey to Middle Earth 8. Deep Madness 9. Myth (if you like to explore an unknown Dungeon bit by bit ) 10. Zombicide 2nd Arkham Horror LCG would be also in the Top 10, but I don't think there is enough Dungeon Crawler in it.
I really appreciate that you showed content from each of the games whilst reviewing and rating them. I have added a few of the games you mentioned to my collection thanks to your efforts with this video. Keep up the great work.
@@EpicKing JUST learn whats in the rule book its quite a simple game, if you see things on cards that you don't know what its for then its because your not meant to know....yet.
I'm looking around for good Dungeon Crawler games and I think this is the best list I've found. A good presentation and not wasting time by hiding the list of what games are included.
Awesome video! I have all of these except 1 and 15 lol. I do have Folklore as well, and the classic D&D board games which are great fun and simple to learn. And never forget HeroQuest! (And maybe Dungeon Saga).
I miss HeroQuest in the list, the best balance between simplicity and fun in a dungeoncrawler board game, combined with a great layup, aesthetic and legacy. Perfect to be played in family.
Many of these are in my top rated games list as well, and yes, Etherfields is also in my Top 5! I would add 2 very special dungeon crawlers: *Skull Tales: Full Sail!* - the ultimate pirate-themed exploration and discovery story-driven experience, with a macro-scaled sea exploration and a ship-building port phase to boot! The final one is *Okko Chronicles* - an excellent scenario-driven horror fantasy, set in feudal Japan with stunning miniatures and evocative location tiles, as well as heaps and heaps of lore. Must haves on any serious dungeon crawler lover's list.
I just bought base game Massive Darkness 2 and some extras for something I could play with a more casual group. Also thinking of picking up Black Plague as well for the same casual group but for a different theme and slightly different gameplay.
Your English is very good, I mean your pronunciation and it’s easy to watch you and understand everything. Other bloggers talk speedily and sometimes to hard understand their thoughts and words. Thanks for the content, interesting
I agree with comments. Missing on the list: Shadows of Brimston, Imperial Assault and Middara. But looking on the list I cannot decide which of games should be replaced by them.
The list includes only those board games that I have played and know and like. Shadows of Brimston, Imperial Assault and Middara are board games I need to check out. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@JoeyjojoShabadoo7 I find imperial assault really dull. Mostly since it is incredibly easy to win scenarios. It usually resolves in the empire player pulling back to defend the objective and the rebel player just trying to rush the objective. Due to the turn limits the rebels have to hurry but then conversely the fact the rebels have two lives means the empire will struggle to down them unless they crowd up and nuke them down. So it's really dull once you play one or two missions and realise this. I play empire as its my mates game. I end up just playing it as a story and let him win as there's really no fun in trying to play it competitively.
If the Gloomhaven system shared one spot there would be one free slot for another game. Shadows of Brimstone has three different themed base games, so there is another decision which one.
"Folklore". It has more story than Gloomhaven, the convenience of Jaws of the Lion, multiple adventuring mechanics (travel and combat) kinda like Etherfields" and no minis, like Machina Archana, so the price is reasonable : )
My family and I are looking forward to the Etherfields game once it arrives from a late Kickstarter pledge. We do have Cthulhu: Death May Die, Nemesis, Jaws of the Lion and Mansions of Madness and we love them all. I would add Level 7: Omega Protocol, but that is a personal choice. Great list!
Nice list, liked it very much. Got some ideas about with one buying next. I think you missed 1 very important. It's Imperial Assault I know it's old like Descent 2 but Its one of the best.

I'm glad your favorite dungeon crawler is... Etherfields ! Because it's mine too, and by a large stretch. I think this game was, and still is, ahead of its time. Like any very innovative product, it received as much hate as love from a conservative community. But as the dust settles, more and more people begin to see its magic, haunting beauty and addictive world.

Ok, I get it.
