    Many of these are in my top rated games list as well, and yes, Etherfields is also in my Top 5! I would add 2 very special dungeon crawlers: *Skull Tales: Full Sail!* - the ultimate pirate-themed exploration and discovery story-driven experience, with a macro-scaled sea exploration and a ship-building port phase to boot! The final one is *Okko Chronicles* - an excellent scenario-driven horror fantasy, set in feudal Japan with stunning miniatures and evocative location tiles, as well as heaps and heaps of lore. Must haves on any serious dungeon crawler lover's list.

    • @dogtags2010
      @dogtags2010 2 года назад

      @@JoeyjojoShabadoo7 I find imperial assault really dull. Mostly since it is incredibly easy to win scenarios. It usually resolves in the empire player pulling back to defend the objective and the rebel player just trying to rush the objective. Due to the turn limits the rebels have to hurry but then conversely the fact the rebels have two lives means the empire will struggle to down them unless they crowd up and nuke them down. So it's really dull once you play one or two missions and realise this. I play empire as its my mates game. I end up just playing it as a story and let him win as there's really no fun in trying to play it competitively.

    I wouldn't count Nemesis into the dungeon crawler genre. I would also maybe have grouped Gloomhaven/Jaws of the Lion together as was done with Nemesis. Looking forward to try Etherfields 2.0. I would just had hoped Awaken Realms had created an app with a voice narrator as was done with amazing Tainted Grail. There was a promising fan project for this, but haven't heard about its progress in a long time so maybe it's not happening anymore.

    • @ontableboardgames1087
      @ontableboardgames1087  2 года назад +4

      Ok, I get it. However, for me every time I play Nemesis I have a great adventure, exploration of the ship and fight against intruders, which is everything what a good dungeon crawler has, although dungeons are indeed absent in this outing. I combined both titles because I haven't played Nemesis Lockdown too many times yet.
      I have no knowledge of the Etherfields app, unfortunately. And I've only played Tainted Grail 2-3 times. But I think that when I get to know it better it has a chance to be on the top list.

    Etherfields is often bashed and I am glad it made it to the top of the list. Yes, there were issues at first but it really isn't that bad. Continuous dream mode and power naps in 2.0 helped tone down the (sometimes necessary) repetitiveness. I think people just like to jump on the trend train of hating a game after their first encounter with a bad rulebook 😂. Which happens very often and to the best of games. Thank you for the video.

    your videos are so amazingly well done, I am impressed each and every time! my favourite dungeon crawlers are: Gloomhaven (all three versions: big box, jaws & digital), Middara, Deep Madness.. and now that you have Etherfields on No. 1, I am looking forward to finally receiving my copy of Etherfields (still waiting for wave 2.. *sigh*)! :D

    What a surprise! My beloved Etherfields #1, 😄. Its very funny to find AH LCG (my favourite game), in a dungeon crawler ranking, you are a brave woman. Very good video. Its the 1st time I see u in youtube, but I will stay here for a while. You have a new subscriber from Spain.

      Hello Spanish man :) Indeed, I like to go through dungeons or other labyrinths and sometimes it takes courage to do so ;) I'm glad that you came here and decided to stay. I hope that I will be able to make you interested in something else.

    Shadows of Brimstone and its many expansions is an amazing dungeon crawler and is a regular at the table with our regular player group. Gloomhaven is also very popular with our friends.

    HeroQuest is also one of the best and easy games. Cursed City from games workshop, warcry, kill team…

    My personal favourite is: Dungeon and Dragons - Wrath of Arshardalon. It's a great crawler, and a Co-Op as well. Had a lot of fun playing it.

    Great list. I’d add the D&D adventure system boardgames. They are simple and fun to play…and it really brings the crawling aspect of a dungeon crawl!! 😊

    Superb, objective review of dungeon crawler style board games all in your none native language. Most impressivel Your enthusiasm is infectious and it is always wonderful to see more women involved in the board game hobby. Not sure others noticed but you also have an impressive array of nail colors. Keep up the great work.
