I cant wait for the experience all over again!! Epics and legendary weapons make it so freaking fufilling when you log in and see your effort put directly into your gear. When someone runs by and you see an item that you want so bad you have to run after them and try to get a better look its just game instinct and im sure almost 90% of people do this. The item grade is actually true epics are really epic and legendarys are legendary.. That instant when you are about to open the loot from a high level raid is like a drug and there is no way to describe the feeling you receive when you look at your drops and see the item you wanted to see. I sware there is absolutely nothing like it at all in the world. I am literally waiting for the second its released to try to be one of the first people to get in the game before the server crashes. Yes you heard it here first(definitely not) the servers will be crashing multiple times a day even with them adding the zone player instances(not the real name) which will make certain players go into different "instances" in certain zones that are overpopulated the nostalgia along with new players will have this game crashed out I just hope it sees a better release than Diablo 3 ahhahhahaha
Just one really simple tip for you :) You can remove the noise in your voice audio with audacity really easily, you can either directly record with audacity or just import your voice audio track and remove the noise. Its really really easy, there should be several tutorials on youtube :)

About the dagger and tanking. In BC I was a progression raider warrior tank that had to remain high on threat list for Gruul. I found that using two weapons (fury style) as an off tank, not currently taking the hits from the boss, was a great way ramp threat up on the primary target (Gruul). Sometimes I would even pull threat from the MT and throw a shield and end up main tanking. Heroic strike is a huge threat gen while in defensive stance when built with improved defensive stance. This all went back to weapon skill + fast attack speed weapons. You have nailed down some serious good tanking info here. Well done.
It's so awesome to see all those Classic Videos and remember things that were long forgotten. Just when I saw the Mature blue dragon Sinew part I was like "AHHH OMG I REMEMBER THAT"...farming that forever with my Hunter. Thanks for the good memories, keep up the work!
First, I was laughed at, when tanking Bosses in MC/Ony/BWL with the dagger. Then DDs loved me and Tanks wanted to be like me. The first image coming to my mind when thinking about Vanilla is my scrappy looking Undead Warrior shiving at Onyxia like a madman with that thing. See you in Classic!

Picked up Blade of Hanna, Alcor's Sunrazor, and a couple other extremely rare items recently.. These guys obviously had no idea what they were selling I really came up. So grateful.

This video reminds me of how hardcore vanilla was. Me and two friend struggled so much with a quest containing an invincible ogre in Blasted Lands. I never finished that quest, cause I stopped before TBC was released, and came back in WoD. Finally, I will be able to see how it ends. Also... PET AND MOUNT QUESTS! :D
So happy to see you put Spellshock pants on this list. it is indeed super rare, and can ONLY drop from bosses in that specific instance. Unfortunately, many level'ers, will have no clue what this item is worth, and u may often end up either seing a noob putting on the leggings for level'ing progression, or on AH for a very low amount of gold. I was twinking in the 49 bracket on multiple private servers, and have yet never seen this item on the AH - EVER :(
I remember I was on my NE hunter killing those skeletal guards in the eastern plaguelands that were near a ramp portion of land that was North/Northeast of the ridge portion outside Tyr's Hand just farming for items and cloth for things to DE/sell and the Hand of Edward the Odd dropped for me. I didn't sell it and opted to use it on my pally alt instead. I knew epics were expensive having owned a few, but at 12 I didn't really grasp just how desired this item was nor the depth of possible play it would open up for a user. In another instance I remember killing Azuregos in WS with some friends/guildies and getting the sinew. I never got the chance to finish the Rhok'Delar chain for my would be bow/staff combo to use with the prestigious quiver, but I remember the excitement at getting that quiver. Turned into a bag of comparable size once the ammo update landed some xpacs later, but I still have it on my hunter to this day along with so many other age old goodies I sought or collected through the ages. I really do appreciate your videos and the content you provide, Frost, so thank you for allowing me to wax nostalgic of a time long past. Why didnt you finish the staff/bow quest? :D I remember the quest as hunter was my main in vanilla. I was such a noob, I almost gave up because it was to darn hard :)
@@Frostadamus I don't recall as it's been ages, but likely because of how difficult it was and there wasn't a lot of info on how to beat it at the time; that coupled with being a young kid made for a bad time I suppose. I still had tons of other cool goodies tho.
I used to farm Eye of Shadow from the elites in Southern Winterspring for my first epic mount, took me roughly 4 hours to farm three of them and they sold for 300g a piece.
So psyched for world dragons in Classic WoW. They never should have removed them. I never was in raid that successfully killed one, but it was still fun to try and watch others try. Vanilla WoW was just so much better and interesting in every way.
Cool vid man! I quit retail back in October and even though I get the itch I refuse to hop in until Classic. After so many years I'm so done with Activision teasing me with wishful thinking that the next expansion will be better. Done!
Farming Winterspring demons is something I plan to do once I get enough gear, early MC and Ony gear should be enough I think. That way I can start farming them since I'll be a Paladin and can use all my kit making the fights easier. Hopefully I'll get at least one Eye drop so I can sell it or give it to a deserving member of my guild for brownie points.

In vanilla, playing a rogue, is it a must to have alchemy to make poisons? Planning on playing a rogue (for pvp/gank ppl) with mining/skinning to make gold for epic mount.
The remote controlled shredder in av Cost a ton to make and did durability damage to who it hit with a cone attack costing like 20g per cast to the opposing faction lol

The Alcor's Sunrazor dagger was only good for tanking on the old private servers, due to an incorrect coding forumla for rage calculation. The old rage calculation on nostalrious and other servers didnt account for the tanks armor, which made them have full rage 100% of the time raiding, this lead to the dagger being the best way to dump rage. This wont be the case in classic wow hopefully! Its still got for the fire resistance and on vael in BWL tho. fyi. cheers!
4:25 "the price for 'Hand of Edward the Odd' can go anywhere from 600 to 1,200 gold" -- I think I got this item from the auction-house for cheaper back in the day. People did not all use it as it is situational.

the epic quiver was actuly amazing... and necesary for speed runs beacuse hunters would go through a full quiver of arrows a raid... often having to hearth out to buy non enginierred vendor arrorws.
This is a private server were people can buy gold the gold prices for rare Equipment items were 100-200 gold back then not a thousand lol. You are not going to be able to buy an epic mount by selling one rare item, for example, the rare dragon pets just sold over 100g at the end of vanilla wow back then and that was just before the burning crusade came out it was not easy for people to make gold
Depends on the server. Either way, rest assured that prices of sought after items will be higher than they were. Information is more readily available, and the masses are more aware of how to make renewable sums of gold. If theres even 20% more mages farming Dire Maul, the gold-pool will be quite inflated compared to '04-07.
thats what made it so awesome, gold farming and trying to be the best in a certain profession to earn gold (perhaps fame) were just as viable game content as raiding, PvP, alts etc. The lack of crossrealms spawned literally mafias who tried to controll some niche markets of profession stuff for an example.
It was different but not that much, some items that people now know its true value have risen like some others have went down. I remember Krol Blade selling for 400-500g on Maghtheridon-US. I bought Blue Sinew for 125g on Elysium last year... not 500-1500g
@@noahhonkanen2090 It will inflate but not as much as you think. I think it will take years before it's really noticeable. The reason being is that the gold needs to be created by questing or looting it off mobs. You got far less back in vanilla so it will take servers longer to generate gold. Furthermore you don't have Garrison/class hall type missions generating thousands of gold a mission. You can't do old raids and get large gold amounts from bosses or sell old raid gear which generates large amounts of gold on a server. But also the vast majority of gold tends to be held be a very few players who sit on the gold. So most people will be broke limiting the amount people can charge for items
There are a lot of boe pre-endgame rares and epics items that can sell for hundreds, twink gear under the right circumstances can be invaluable. Though you'll still have to wait for most people to reach 60 and the right buyer.
When you hire passionate people, it shows in the final product. Something Activision lacks, with all their quarterly contract slaves. That culture has corrupted blizzard.
I wonder if they will bring back Refresher Orb or Hand of Midas. Anyway, still waiting for that private farming video you promised me a month ago, Frost. Toodles~

The hunter quiver also increases your ranged attack speed to 15 % from 13% most people will have with the harpy quiver.
