It's so frustrating, they are using AI for this instead of using it to replace the job that are a risk for human lives. I was reading the other day that there are jobs in India I think where people have to recicle ships and it is a very dangerous job where people can die, lose limbs, get severely sick, etc. And people can only do said job like for 10 years before getting handicap because of it and continue in poverty. The situation makes me so angry

Nothing personal but there's technical reasons caused this direction of development .. first, the physical world is way harder than the digital world so AI will advance faster and much more than robotics .. second, creativity and creation (what people want to do) can withstand lots of errors than precise boring work!

The hiccups makes it more authentic. Also, the lyrics of the song really does reflect the life challenges and personality of Squidward. Overall, every time I listen to it, it never fails me to reflect on the words and of my own life. Leading up to the series finale, Squidward should just become a singer and move to NYC and live out his dream.

I do just want to point out how we should be more careful and take AI more seriously because so I’ve heard theirs literally people making AI that they can talk to. They make fictional characters or talk to their comfort characters and it completely fucks up their mental health and the ability for them to socialize. While it is cool for small people like me to make little fanmade projects with AI celebrity voices, i’m terrified of what could happen in the long term with massive corporations abusing technology like this against everyone’s will. But the issue is that companies will eventually fired the living voice actors because they don't have to pay them anymore. Show business is always business firsts, and a lot of corporate suits will do anything to reduce spending. While it's nice having an AI to replace someone who passed away to keep the character alive, eventually companies will just fire the living voice actors and stop hiring new voice actors because they can make a new AI voice. It's hard enough to find voice acting jobs with good pay, but it will be impossible if we allow AI voice to be the new norm. Even worse when company can just fire the writers, character designers, animators, and everyone that can make entertainment and just solely rely on AIs because it's overall cheaper to buy an AI rather than paying all of those people. Will future voice actors be paid in the next 24 years, or will they be obsolete because some smuck will just make a voice from the AI? They need protection for their jobs and career especially since many executives are greedy as heck. Like do you know why there's so many cancelled Netflix shows or how shows tend to end around season 3? That because Netflix has to pay more money to the production crew after season 3, but they're not willing to shill out more cash so they just cancel a bunch of shows unless these shows become instantly popular to justify the cost. It's always money at the end of the day in show business. AI can be used as a tool, but a lot of people want AI to just completely replace the artist as a whole. We can't let AI to replace something that people actually want to be.
I don't see this as something to be worried about, I this as an opportunity. Think about it. Even though voice AIs can do the work, they still lack the passion the human does nor is it as marketable when it comes to interviews or meet ups. So actors will always be needed... However, if the actor is sick or needs time off, or lines need to be redone, you can use the ai in their place to remedy this without halting production.

The good thing about this is that in the future when the cast eventually pass away, the AI will be more advanced and be able to do full episodes for them
and when they pass, there will be hundreds of spongebob episodes and thousands of lines for even side characters like squidward for the ai to work with
But the issue is that companies will eventually fired the living voice actors because they don't have to pay them anymore. Show business is always business firsts, and a lot of corporate suits will do anything to reduce spending. While it's nice having an AI to replace someone who passed away to keep the character alive, eventually companies will just fire the living voice actors and stop hiring new voice actors because they can make a new AI voice. It's hard enough to find voice acting jobs with good pay, but it will be impossible if we allow AI voice to be the new norm.
Even worse when company can just fire the writers, character designers, animators, and everyone that can make entertainment and just solely rely on AIs because it's overall cheaper to buy an AI rather than paying all of those people. There's a reason why there's an ongoing writer strike right now. They're trying to protect their jobs

@@mattgames5573 No they won't. They've been paid for 24 years because there's no other alternative for voice acting until recently. Will future voice actors be paid in the next 24 years, or will they be obsolete because some smuck will just make a voice from the AI? They need protection for their jobs and career especially since many executives are greedy as heck. Like do you know why there's so many cancelled Netflix shows or how shows tend to end around season 3? That because Netflix has to pay more money to the production crew after season 3, but they're not willing to shill out more cash so they just cancel a bunch of shows unless these shows become instantly popular to justify the cost.
It's always money at the end of the day in show business. AI can be used as a tool, but a lot of people want AI to just completely replace the artist as a whole. We can't let AI to replace something that people actually want to be.
I hate the new ai stuff, it will do way more harm than good, and the world will be left without a face.
I don't see this as something to be worried about, I this as an opportunity. Think about it. Even though voice AIs can do the work, they still lack the passion the human does nor is it as marketable when it comes to interviews or meet ups. So actors will always be needed... However, if the actor is sick or needs time off, or lines need to be redone, you can use the ai in their place to remedy this without halting production.
Well we all know who also sang this song and that's Mike the mouse aka Seth MacFarlane from the very first sing movie now I can imagine Seth and rodger teaming up for a duet of this song.
If you ask me it should be whoever's voice is used in the AI fed song should be compensated properly for it because they contributed their voice to it sing for fictional characters if the person didn't pass away

The German voice of Squidward "Eberhard Prüter" died in 2014 and got replaced by someone else. Seeing this givs me hope to get the old voice back using AI like they did with the English version. Because fans of the og times of Spongebob in Germany, miss his voice.
