thank you to emmett's neighbors for putting up with this so that the rest of the world can enjoy it. every week, i rely on replaying the last week's performance to get me through the work week with fresh music!
Stardust, The Lamp Is Lowは最高だった。 別の演奏ではあるが、UgetsuやAfter You’ve Goneのパトリックの演奏も素晴らしい
now pat's in Japan I will almost certainly make time to go see him play even tho I gotta go overseas to do it. Man is on another level compared to.... well everyone really.
Great original tune by Patrick - “These Blues (Are All I Got)” It’s like everyone left their bodies at the door and allowed their souls to run free to express that which cannot be expressed in words and they each had a lot to say, and they understood each other well and included us in the conversation - and we understood it well too! 😊 Just Fabulous!

Thank you Meira A! So grateful for your time stamps and comments which always lift up. The world would be a better place if we could all be similarly kind and generous with our speech.
‘These Blues’ blew me away - everyone playing superbly as always. Looking forward to more compositions from Pat in the future should he be inspired. Edit: The energy in Reach for God (all that unison work!) and that intro to Stardust!
Woke up this morning wanting to hear some Patrick Bartley - so I put this set on and this is just what I needed - This young man is truly awesomely talented!
Pat is deep in the history - I love that. He definitely has some Benny Carter-isms too - check out the Verve record: Cosmopolite. It’s Benny Carter w/ Oscar Peterson, so dope
I got some 'You Belong to the City' (sax Bill Bergman) vibes in that intro. Amazing how this tune goes from Ravel to Doris Day to these brilliant boys! And perhaps some Bartley humour - that quote from Alone Again towards the end
Musically, jazzically, intellectually…… listening to this performance turned a shitty day into a magical one……. Merci! Miss Jenny (music theory teacher, Manhattan).
There's no interface between Patrick and his saxophone. He's the sax and the sax he's him.

They’re not putting up with it… I’m sure they enjoy it too!! How could you not??
Next time someone gives you shit over your shoes at a gig, remember Patrick Bartley played without shoes and still shreds this hard.

How can you not LOVE when Emmett quotes his own telephone during his solo? :)
Julian Lee, tenor sax - Yes!!!! to this every day!!! - hand clapping good! - "Reach"
Patrick Bartley is by far my favorite Sax player. Every time I listen to him he pulls out something magical
WE need more max boiko. He's such a talent.

Wow did he murder it on the lamp is low!! One of the modern greats without a doubt!
Great Patrick!!!!!!!
this was seriously epic... music of this caliber makes the whole universe reverberate with joy!
I cannot help but hear Kurt Rosenwinkel killing on "These Blues (All I Got)". I think that he would murder this tune alongside all of you!!
Seconding this, Kurt is the main guy I want to attend one of these sessions. Preferably alongside Pat too but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose
First of all, I NEVER HEARD MAX THROW DOWN LIKE THAT BEFORE! WOW! As usual, good job to everyone in the group. Another amazing performance
Can not be topped! Patrick really fits in with the Emmet Trio.
Danke!
whole set is unreal
I wish I could give you guys a million thumbs. What a great performance.
Getting some sick Johnny Hodges vibes, amazing alto playing!

This whole stream is a masterclass. So good! Thank you for the great music!
Incredible every single time
Thanks again for the absolutely world class entertainment.
emmet on stardust goddamn
Patrick is just, insane.
Finally getting a opportunity to view and listen to Emmett's Vol. 97. So much BREAKING NEWS August 8. Good musicianship. Keep up the great music.

Amazing! As usual from Emmet, this video feels too short...
Great! Mr Poole is back. Where’s Mr Hall?

Thanks again!! Congratulations

Can't believe I've only just found this. So cool what y'all are doing.
