Funny thing is when I was younger I use to use the 1:18 Joe's as wrestlers and had the Annihilator and Alley Viper as a tag team heel threatening to foil championship reigns.
For me the Alley Viper was one of my favorites growing up. I remember loving this figure and the night viper that year. I was winding down my G.I. Joe collecting days when the original came out, but definitely love this the sci-fi elements of G.I. Joe. And this is one of my favorite figures of the Classified line so far too! I'll admit I always loved the smg he came with and to see it recreated makes me so happy.
My first 3.75 inch G.I. Joe figures were the orange and blue Alley Viper and Stalker with the backpack that had the 4 buttons: Attack, Blitz 'em, Let's Party, and gunfire noise. Lots of memories playing with those two figures. They were the only ones I had for quite awhile. Later on I got Major Bludd, Duke, Col. Courageous, and some guy at a flea market that had I believe was called Lifeline. So because he was one if my 1st two figures I ever had from the G.I. Joe line, I want this Alley Viper. I've not boughten any of these G.I. Joe Classified figures yet. Hopefully I can find one of these, and if they come out with a Stalker, I'll have to get him too. It's all about that nostalgia... sidenote: I even created both Alley Viper and Stalker in my wrestling video games. Finishers for Alley Viper: Cobra Clutch and the Vertebreaker. Finisher for Stalker: the Ron Simmons Dominator (not the less cool Bobby Lashley version).
I just got my Alley Viper this week. Started with Shipwreck in December and this Viper is figure 29 in my collection. His colors/design is amazing, eye catching in the figure line up, the accessories are amazing and that shield is so good. Definitely getting a couple more for a small squad. He's tied with the Techno Viper for favorite, oh and the recent Duke and Scarlet retro carded figures. I love them all, haven't been disappointed with a single one yet.
I resisted this line until recently when I purchased the Cobra Trooper and I must say I’m thoroughly impressed. I have 2 more troopers on the way and a whole host of others.
I do agree i wish hasbro made the accessory's look more realistic. Lady Jaye's the only one that i know of who's tips of her spears are silver. i wouldn't have a problem with it if the pics on the boxes didn't show their weapons different colors and realistic looking.
3:24 I agree, the black-yellow Alley Viper was my preferred version. (I put away and never used any of the spring-loaded oversized weapons from those later years, though). I'd love a repaint of this Alley Viper. But maybe even better than black and yellow would be something more on-brand for Cobra, like black and red? Or black and blue?
Another great video! Thank you for the 10% discount code on the stands. Buying these figures in Australia for less than $50-$60 each is very difficult, any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks
I had the orange one, the black and yellow one and THEN I painted one to be black and gray like the “urban camo” that was so popular then.. no.. no white in MY pattern. I thought these guys, along with the Rage were BAD ASS! I had to have four squads of them!!
This is me raising my hand that I'm one of those who loved this figure - might be one of my favorites - right next to Snow Serpent and Desert Scorpion. As garish as the blue and orange are, I certainly wouldn't complain if they decided to do a Python Patrol redeco of this figure LOL.
Orange and blue are considered opposite on “the color wheel” of visual arts. They are purposely used in action movie posters! Now that you know, you can never unsee it! MCU, Spider-man, Star Wars.. blockbuster action movies use these colors for their posters shamelessly. Maybe that’s why Alley-Vipers are orange and blue.. they’re men of action!
One of the rifles (the one without the magazine) has a small hole under the end, that one matches the hole in the grappling hook. Tie them with a string for some grapple/ascension gun action, for getting from the alleys to the tops of buildings. The large reel on the backpack is, I think, supposed to represent the auto climbing/repealing system which is why the launcher locks in there with the hook facing upwards. Or... it's a mine (que LotR meme here). Ultimate Urban Commando.
Love the figures but I always found it funny how they are an Urban Assault Trooper but the colors are Blue and Orange. Where is that gonna be able to blend into?
I've always liked the design, but not the colours of the Alley Viper. I'm with you in the Viper being my favourite Cobra troop builder. This guy is pretty cool though and a welcome addition to the ranks.
Super happy to see the release of the alley viper, I always loved seeing them make an appearance in the comics. I would love to see what a classified night viper would look like.
Not a big fan of the neon color figures; I think I stopped collecting or they were no longer selling at my toy stores since nothing was happening with the JOE IP. Like you, I like the Viper and BAT more.
I know this is a older video but I am still knew into the line with about 8 or so figures most knew some old. My question is how are the hip joints? Are they super stiff and tight? Or is it good on this guy? I know some of the early ones are super stiff.
Still searching for that Alley Viper. Hoping to find it at retail or retail priced on Amazon. The Cobra Viper is what I think of when I think of Cobra henchmen. But there’s just something really cool about the Alley Vipers. I remember loving that figure when I was a kid, and loving the black and yellow Battle Corps and orange and teal Battle Corps variants. I think the color scheme really makes that figure stand out. Also I think the visor was one of the things that I really liked about the figure. It did always bug me though that the visor/ face shield never fit like the artwork showed.
😆😁😅 You said, "Mets colors." Kyle the Alley Viper didn't get moved up. As a matter of fact the Alley Viper was teased since the line began. If you look on the back of the Classified Series box, the Alley Viper is on the "cross cell." The Alley Viper is also get their asses whoop by R.B. and Scarlett in the figures art on the side of the box.
I’m aware he was long rumored as a Walgreens exclusive. And I believe that was the delay as it did not work out so it was moved to all retailers. Cross sell
Ally viper would have been a slam dunk but the colors ….even back in the day I could handle …..if he was black n dark green 🤘🏻 but hey it was the late 80s early 90s …..if you want all the weapons but not the figure get the snake eyes with the white timber because he comes with all of that stuff and more
The drug dealer was The Headman! His henchmen looked kinda cool, but I preferred Gold-headed Destro and his Iron Grenadiers. I had.. STILL have three DEMON tanks and Destro and his goofy Despoiler. 🤓😎
Dude, how are you getting Classified's on Ring Side collectible Stands? Finally got mine today and found out the hard way the stand pegs are too wide, am i missing something?
The people who moaned about the first wave being too garish with their golden shin guards etc, must be having a fit over this and the black and yellow B.A.T.😁
Sorry dude.. it’s not pronounced battle corpse.. the “s” is silent. The original Viper was pretty cool but my two favorite “Vipers” were the Stratoviper and the Night Viper.
I'm 46. I only had a couple things when I was a kid. So its nostalgic for me now.
Funny thing is when I was younger I use to use the 1:18 Joe's as wrestlers and had the Annihilator and Alley Viper as a tag team heel threatening to foil championship reigns.
Sometimes I used them as wrestlers too lol
It's my favorite Viper because it's the only Viper I know about.

Another awesome review Kyle subscribed
I've always loved these vipers because it felt like they didn't really care about being seen. The pop out colors kind of made them intimidating.
Another great video! Thank you for the 10% discount code on the stands.

My favorite Cobra was the Snow Serpent.
Such a cool figure! I always loved him because of the shield and colors.
I had the orange one, the black and yellow one and THEN I painted one to be black and gray like the “urban camo” that was so popular then.. no.. no white in MY pattern. I thought these guys, along with the Rage were BAD ASS! I had to have four squads of them!!

I’m starting to like those classifieds

Found 2 bats and 2 alley vipers at target this morning
Love the figures but I always found it funny how they are an Urban Assault Trooper but the colors are Blue and Orange. Where is that gonna be able to blend into?
Traffic cones 😂
His filecard was an awesome story o never had him but my brother did. I was jealous. I have my alleyviper and bats in the mail now.

Kyle, the reason why the Alley Viper is orange and blue is the same reason why the Viper came with goggles.
Not a big fan of the neon color figures; I think I stopped collecting or they were no longer selling at my toy stores since nothing was happening with the JOE IP. Like you, I like the Viper and BAT more.
I have the original Cobra Viper and the 25th anniversary Cobra Viper now. I'm going to get the classic.
The SAW Viper will always be my favorite for killing 12 Joes at once.

Always thought this guy had more of a jungle style paint job but in orange and blue, but I guess I was wrong.

Dude, how are you getting Classified's on Ring Side collectible Stands? Finally got mine today and found out the hard way the stand pegs are too wide, am i missing something?
Did you order the wrong stands? Has to be mattel versions not Jazwares
@@KylePeterson1980 Damn!, i blew it, oh well, thanks for the quick reply.
The people who moaned about the first wave being too garish with their golden shin guards etc, must be having a fit over this and the black and yellow B.A.T.😁
It makes me mad every time you plug the Ringside stands because they're never in stock.
Only been out of stock for a few wks. Happens this time of year every year
@@KylePeterson1980 They only had white for a couple months. I'm waiting for the clear and the black ones.
