I think that there has to be some extra enemy mechanics added, meaning there are only two types of enemies. 1) Enemies that shoot (Most of them) 2) Enemies that charge at you (Melee attack) I would suggest adding enemies with special abilities, like setting some tiles on fire, or enemies that could stun you if you are too close, or enemies that can slow you down, or poison you, or perhaps even enemies that could pull you towards them for a melee attack, etc.. Otherwise seems a bit boring and repetitive
Since you said you might add some more unique enemies i think you should add a Dragon that flys into the air and lands fast back on the ground knocking the player back. And before the dragon comes down you should add a cross hair on the floor where he would land. And maybe a flamethrower attack similar to the chili breathe.

Here’s an idea: a super hero enemy with a bungee cord wrapped around his waist while attached To the ceiling. His normal attack would just be spitting 10 projectiles at billy. But his secondary attack would be Him being lifted up by the bungee cord and pose like he is flying, then charge at billy, it would last 5 seconds, when He gets near billy, he will punch him and be put back on the ground.
Cool new rooms, i especially like the ww1 room. I think the action hero fits way better to the game, I always found the camera man a bit awkward. Keep up the great work ^^

I am taking inspiration from other rouge-likes, but unlike other ideas that ya scrapped, I honestly think it IS NECESSARY to include something very important ya game is missing right now, compared to the other ones in this genre; ADD THE DAMN PASSIVES IN ALREADY! Look, I know, it is hard to implement, but maybe ya can make yer own spin around it. Giving out a few examples; Challenge passives, for example: A piggy bank. Billy has to carry this piggy bank on his back, and deliver it to the shop. If he suceeds, his teeth gets DOUBLED, but if he takes a half of his max health, his teeth get HALVED. This would make the player confront the risk of getting more resources in return that they are performing good. Event passives, for example: A slime bomb. Ya know those toys kids get at the fairs ? One of those is a piratety-looking bomb that has slime in it. My brother had this toy once, and he played with it for a couple of months. The point is: after using your primary ability X amount of times, ya will throw a non-damaging explosive that leaves a puddle of slime behind. This is, just like the poison from the stinky sock and the burn of some abilities, a better/worse freeze that lasts shorter/longer than freeze itself. HOWEVER, if the bomb itself hits an enemy before exploding, it will do X times more/less damage. This would make that a player doesn’t necessairly camp at a completed room until they got the trust of their (better) abilities, and THEN go in the specific room they want to beat, and instead, some will risk it more to battle without the need of their best abilities, meaning that they feel more comfortable with their passive abilities to battle with. Familliars (, huh, guess where I have gotten that from.... ;) ). Explanation ? MUCH worse pets but with invincibility. This way ya have some form of companion with ya through the run. And also, since I wanna have passives SO much, I also found use for the elf. Instead of the reforge function, why not combination function ? Meaning once ya visit the elf, why not have the option to COMBINE the passives and/or abilities TOGETHER?! Give this bad boy a X amount of uses and this way, ya slap three files in one; -Ya don’t need to brainstorm/think about the function of the elf shop anymore. -Ya gave players a REASON to visit shops more times than the amount of times they needed to get their favourite abilities, and then never visit again, except for health. -Ya gave players a motive to go further and explore more shops and recipes for equipment combinations! So why not ? It seems like a GREAT addition to the game, and literally EVERY rouge-like has, and it HAS SO MUCH POSSIBLE TWISTS AND SPINS ya give it, but it was just an idea... anyways, I will be with the development of this game. Bye!

Maybe a soldier would arm one of the grenades and throw it at you after a moment of chasing you? It would distinguish him from his chemistry teacher and make him a more dangerous opponent.
You could make the camera man boss a duo with a boom mic guy to do like a 2-enemy boss, would be pretty unique as you dont have any bosses like this to my knowledge
3 new enemy ideas: rifle men basically he has a rifle Alien captain: he would spawn enemy’s and have dual laser pistols CHOPPA: have a attack CHOPPA (Bonus) I’m very fond of the predator movies it would make my day to have a predator enemy (or something like the predator to avoid copyright)
