The cameraman looks great! A laser projectile from the camera could be interesting 🤔
So he's destroying everything hes filming.
Thanks for the suggestion, Yannick! Do you mean like the Nurse's laser?
You could make the laser spread out but that might be too hard to do. You can also add a camera flash attack that when happens, switches up the area to a movie set where some enemies spawn and once you kill them, you can go after the cameraman
maybe the camera man can use a flash from his camera to temporarily petrify the player
Yes thought the same
Thanks for the suggestion, quillka chess!
Maybe the film roles can fly around the room and bounce off of the walls.
They bounce a little bit, like the football players in the school. But you mean bounce a lot, like the ninja stars?
@@JonasBroman yup
Maybe the cameraman can emit a flash from the camera wich gives an dot while your in it?
Thanks for the suggestion, Elis Andersson! What kind of dot did you have in mind?
TheBroman90 you get flashed, and while you are inside of the beam, you get a certain amount of damage every second, so you have to stay out of the beam of light
An idea is the cameraman stops, a red triangle appears, and he flashes a photo and if billy is in that area, he gets hurt. Make the area big so it is harder. That is my suggestion for an attack.
Thanks for the suggestion, Chubeh Gorillas!
The ScreamWorks name and logo look great, haha... Fits the horror/nightmare setting much better! :D
Thanks, I'm glad you like it :D
One extra attack you could add to the camera man is where he takes a photot of billy so you would see the flash marked on the ground then you needed to move out of the way before he took the photo and the whole flashed area would be full with projectiles that stay there for a just a little bit. I think this would add more variety to the phases.
Thanks for the suggestion, terribilis scientia!
The cameraman could charge and then shoot a powerful laser out of his camera?
And you could improve the second attack by
1.making the filmrolls have a charge attack
2. Having him use film as a sort of lasso to attempt to pull you into one of them.
Love these devlogs and the game! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the suggestion, wuh oh!
realy cool as always and i think the camra man boss shuld shot a flash whit his camra that spawn many projectiles and blindes you for a moment.
and when you come in to the boss rom the camra man films the minion and then it dies after the film and the camra man says "NEXT".
Thanks for the suggestion, Marco Morales! Hmm but wouldn't it feel a bit unfair to get blinded and run into all the projectiles?
@@JonasBroman it could make every thing lighter and not blind idk
Maybe in the future, you could add a level centered around a volcano, where the deeper you go, the more lava there is for you to avoid, and maybe one of the bosses could be one of those "defeat it before the stage collapses" bosses
Screamworks, I like the logo and the name :D The camera man boss is cool too! I like that he goes along the track and the film attacks. Overall I think it looks good to me! As a potential idea, maybe the cameraman occasionally gets off the dolly for a "handheld" type of attack for a bit then goes back onto the dolly again. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback, Garrett! :D
I think he should have a 'flash' attack that stuns the player if caught in it
Thanks for the suggestion, Metamorphias! How would the flash attack look like and how would the player get caught by it?
@@JonasBroman I would imagine the trolly would stop and then after a few smaller flashes a white light shoots out in a cone shape giving the player time to move to the sides depending on where he stopped.
Love the new boss Jonas! Keep up the great work! :D
Thank you, Daniel! :D
another cool boss idea would have been a lightning technician, who takes care about the lightning and everything on the set. He could have a mixing desk. Where he could toggle light etc. You for example could add attacks like, theres green and light and red light and u have to stay in the green light to not take damage. (maybe the light also moves and its there all the time or its just an attack where u get an indicator where the green light is gonna be) another attack could also be that he turns of the light and its completely dark and then he shoots lightning projectiles at u , but u only see the projectiles and not the boss. And so u have to guess where the boss is based on where the projectiles are coming from, while he is driving around on his chair.
Thanks for the suggestion, Jumi!
Maybe in the camera man cut scene he could put a film roll in the camera and then throw it on the ground because it didn't work
Also you could make the camera man change the color of the room as if he is changing lenses and also you could make him call actors and he will film in the corner while the actors attack
Thanks for the suggestion, Malek Elsady!
or maybe throw it on a minion?
Here is an idea for the intro of the cameraman he could take a picture of his minion and the minions eyes would explode :)
Wow the game is so good, and amazing! :D
It look like a lot of effort is putted into this :)
Thank you, Quintin Kuo! I'm glad you like it :)
He could have some camera flash moves where he uses flashes to blind the player screen for a few seconds or blurs the screen.. 👍
Edit: Wow there are many people wanting this.. 👌
Thanks for the suggestion, Scart3 Redup!
I think it would be cool if the cameraman would summon Laser cameras at the edge of the arena. They charge up and then fire a deadly laser to the other end of the arena. You could even move them in a circle pattern or some other interesting shapes. I think this idea is very flexable and could maybe even be reused for a enemy type later on
Thanks for the suggestion, Gunschlinger!
I wish for you guys that the game will sell millions of copys. It looks amazing and I can see how much blood and soul it must has took and will.
Thanks, Rimgear! It means a lot :)
The cameraman could place down cameras like turrets(destroyable) along the rail, which would automatically shoot projectiles at the player, while the cameraman throws these film rolls. At the second phase he then places other type of cameras down, which would flash you(make the whole screen white for a few sec than fade out) if u don't destroy them in time, while the cameraman attacks with his projectiles, making it harder to dodge. It also makes the player decide what to focus on attacking, while being fair beacuse you don't HAVE TO kill the flashing cameras, it's just probably worth it most of the times.
An other idea about the flash attack - if you don't want to make the screen white, it could make the player dizzy for a few seconds, making it harder to move in straight lines or unable to dodge or move slower etc.
In both flash examples I imagine the cameras would take about 3 seconds to charge up, this would be indicated to the player with sounds/animations, and in this short time the player needs to destroy them or get flashed. Good luck with the game, looking awesome so far. :D
Thanks for the suggestion, TheSnowmanLoL!
For the intro maybe you could have a minion tied to the track that he runs over? Like in those old western films
Thanks for the suggestion, Zeredek!
Maybe his tape in the camera catches fire and he throws it at you and it explodes and pulls out a brand new one to keep shooting
Thanks for the suggestion, WonderingPotato64!
amazing new rooms! the screamworks logo is very creepy, and the new boss seemed fun to me, but i got kinda motion sick of him spinning around like that, and that can be very tiring, so maybe he stops ans shoots a very thick lazer for some seconds at the player?
Thanks for the feedback, lorde ventos!
Maybe he could do a little charge where he goes faster for a little while
I would say make the camera man have a big flash attack temporarily blinding the player
Thanks for the suggestion, Cody O'Neil!
Maybe the camera man can have some ray or laser beam coming out of the camera. Or there can be some spotlights in the room, which also shoot projectiles or laser beams.
Thanks for the suggestion, Vincent!
Maybe the cameraman could place cameras that shoot projectiles. For example the fight would get harder because the amount of cameras is building up. (They wouldnt shoot too many projectiles)
Thanks for the suggestion, Skelecats! Should the player be able to destroy the cameras?
Wait maybe the player will have to make the film rolls run into the cameras to brake them
That new improved cameraman boss is way more badass now! Maybe make him shoot exploding rpg like shells randomly and also make him scream action as a pop up messages, that would look cool, I mean a director screams action not the cameraman but still 😂
Thanks for the suggestion, BKing! And I'm glad you like the new cameraman :)
The Rambo character’s bullets should have a small amount of spread/inaccuracies so the bullets go more scattered like a machine gun instead of a straight line.
I think the bullets have some spread, but we could make it more noticeable.
you should add something like the kraken in the se rooom ( maybe 8 motorized tentacles ? )
Hey Jonas, been watching your Dev Logs for awhile now, and you inspired me to start my own series for the game me and my friend are making. I've only made the Intro episode so far, but I was wondering if you have any tips, or if there is something you wish you knew sooner that could help someone starting out.
Hmm I've learned a couple of things. (Could probably make a video about it, but anyway)
1. Grab the viewers attetion as fast as possible. Skip any intros, logos or text and instead start talking immediately.
2. Try to have high energy and sound positive (without being fake).
3. I like to tell the viewer what this devlog is about, so they know what to expect. Like, "Today I will show you this new enemy, room or feature" etc. Because if they don't understand they will get bored and leave.
4. I also tell the viewer that I will show it "later" and then start with something else. This way they will hopefully watch the whole video and I get some sweet watch time for my statistics.
5. End the video with a question, instead of just saying "Leave a comment". This way, more people will leave comments. You get more feedback and the algorithm will promote your video more.
6. Use music, sounds, a lot of footage, funny gifs and images. Anything you can think of to make the video more interesting. And it's always more fun to see gameplay, rather than a screen capture of the engine.
7. Try to invest in a good microphone and make sure that the volume in the video is correct.
8. The title and thumbnail is also very important. I like to put a character from the game in the thumbnail together with a short text. If you don't want to use a character you can show the game itself. Just so people quickly can see what kind of graphics the game has.
9. Make sure that your channel page look good. By looking at your banner, people should know what your channel is about.
10. Study your video analytics and see at what point people stop watching your video. Then try to understand what part of the video made them leave.
@@JonasBroman Thanks for the detailed response! Yeah some of those things I would have never thought of. I think a lot of people could totally benefit from a video on the topic.
@@cohn9608 You're welcome! Perhaps I'll make a video about it then :)
Maybe you should give all of the bosses in the studio an extra attack, because the studio is later in the game.
Thanks for the suggestion, Mr Lee!
maybe make he spawns film strips across the room and zisp across them in a joustign dash kind of thing randomly
Thanks for the suggestion, mastergamerx!
u can add a outfit a dream billy like he is a racing man he have a mount a car etc
Thanks for the suggestion, Demonslayer!
I think he should have an atk that stuns u also u can have an atk were he trows tiny go pros at u and they hover around and overheat and they explode
Thanks for the suggestion, Leandro Wilson!
he should have a camera bot
Thanks for the suggestion, pew gameinglife!
What if you give the camera man a flash attack from his camera that has a white macaroni shaped projectile fly at the player but before the attack launches a mechanical sound plays to warn the player?
Thanks for the suggestion, The Corn Noir!
The camera man should be able to flash with the camera a little bit like a laser.
Thanks for the suggestion, Rapandrasmus! Do you mean like the Nurse's laser?
TheBroman90 not what i thought but yeah like the nurse laser.
How about a laser beam
Thanks for the suggestion, Yohan Ryle Hizon!
Maby the film ropes could explod after a while...
Thanks for the suggestion, PixScopeStudios!
For the intro you could have the camera man recording someone who is in peril and needs assistance
Thanks for the suggestion, Campent!
TheBroman90 okej!
