Now, as the sponsored coach for Nexy, he promotes the brand globally while sporting Nexy gear. However, creating a racket that satisfies Coach Joo Sae-hyuk was no easy task. Not only was he meticulous in his feedback, but as someone who isn’t a defensive player myself, it was challenging to understand what kind of racket would truly appeal to defensive players. To address this, we gathered data on what general defensive players value most in a racket. 1. Enhanced Defensive Performance • Stable Defense: For defensive players like Coach Joo, key skills include chopping, long-distance defense, and blocking. A racket’s blade must effectively absorb an opponent’s spin and deliver stable returns. • Rebound Control: Defensive players need to absorb powerful smashes or drives and control the ball to make counterattacks challenging for opponents. The blade’s rebound should be controlled-not overly strong-while enabling quick counters when needed. 2. Racket Size and Design • Adjusted Size: Slightly larger than standard rackets, allowing for better ball contact and improved stability during blocks and chops. However, overly large designs can reduce agility, so maintaining balance is crucial. • Thickness and Weight: Excessive thickness or weight can hinder quick responses. Therefore, the racket should remain lightweight and appropriately balanced. 3. Material Selection • Materials for Control: The blade’s materials should prioritize control. Soft wood layers or composite materials that enhance spin control and provide the feedback necessary for defensive play are ideal. • Balanced Rebound and Flexibility: Even with carbon layers, choosing flexible carbon materials ensures the racket maintains stability for defense while allowing sufficient speed during counterattacks. 4. Offensive Transition Capability Although designed for defense, the racket must also allow for rapid offensive transitions when opportunities arise. The blade should absorb the ball well but deliver strong and fast counterattacks when required. This balance can be achieved through the right combination of rebound and flexibility. 5. Vibration Damping and Handle Grip Defensive players often require precise touches, making vibration-damping technology essential to reduce hand fatigue. Additionally, the handle grip should be designed for long-term comfort during extended play. With these essential elements in mind, we developed our first product. The first release was highly flexible and offered exceptional feedback. Its resonance was a strength for some players but a challenge for others. To address this, we decided to create a racket with reduced vibration while collaborating closely with Coach Joo. Discussions began last winter, leading to the development of our second product.
Joo Sae Hyuk2 : A Refined Innovation For the second product, we introduced composite materials to address the limitations of the previous model. The goal was to achieve effective vibration damping while maintaining optimal power. The Joo Sae-hyuk 2 was rigorously tested by Coach Joo before the Olympics. He emphasized the importance of balancing defensive strength with offensive capability. The final product features Kevlar, which offers excellent vibration damping to reduce resonance while enhancing speed and power. Additionally, the inner-fiber structure positions Kevlar in the third layer, providing a soft yet stable feel. The overall thickness is approximately 5.8mm, striking the perfect balance for defensive play without sacrificing touch and feel. It offers a remarkably aggressive feel for precise attacks and sufficient power to send the ball far from the table. Take the Challenge. Thank you.

BRAND STORY
Coach Joo Sae-hyuk is one of the world’s greatest defensive players.
He has ranked as high as No. 2 in the world and remained in the top 10 for an extended period, becoming a prominent figure in table tennis history.
1. Enhanced Defensive Performance
• Stable Defense: For defensive players like Coach Joo, key skills include chopping, long-distance defense, and blocking.
2. Racket Size and Design
