I do like the look of that enclosed box. when i was looking at intakes it was between this and the forge cf box. I ended up with the forge cause i found it on sale for Labor day. No CEL issues so far. Keep up the dope content man. Every time you make a video.... i buy something....lol
Forged Box is really nice too, I thought about that one as well, but I tend to lean towards under hood components not being in carbon, but it stills looks great!
Just installed mine last week. This intake does come with the v2 fix but mine only came with one plug :(. I actually used your MST V2 fix video to help me visualize the hoses so ty. Otherwise yeah there are no instructions, so you have to wing it carefully. Compared to stock it's noticeably louder but remember it isn't an open intake. I hear it a lot more with the windows down.
Yeah that is one thing... the instructions are always missing, but I've told a few people that its very straightforward for installs. Compared to the V1 intake, its much quieter, but thats from inside the cabin, I am soon to shoot a video on the outside.
Well if you want the mot in-cabin flutter/turbo noises, the V1 version of this intake will suit you better. This is like for the aesthetics but you lose some of the sound you hear.
Hey Carquick, does this intake come with a CEL kit. I keep hearing horror stories of people putting after market intakes and then getting a CEL shortly after.
Hey if it’s any help, I have about 20k miles with my MST intake. No CEL but I’m also running a turbosmart BOV. Not sure if that made any difference but not everyone throws the code. I’d say the sounds this intake makes is probably worth the annoyance if you do throw a CEL. The sounds are loud and I can see people turning their heads hundred of feet away as the boost is building
Are they able to ship the intake to USA? when I try to check out. It saying "Your selected items do not have the same payment or delivery method, please check again" Any idea? Thx
Hmmm, thats odd, I do know a few other vendors I hav ordered parts from can also get this intake, here is one: - speedindustry.com/v2-mst-2-piece-intake-2023-gr-corolla
Man.. vague is an understatement. The 2 thick washers are for that zinc plated bolt, to mount the rear pipe to that bracket that is connected to the engine. However, I did not use both washers as one with the bolt was more than enough. The additional washer to me would have just added more strain to tightening the bolt thats only holding the pipe in place and its nothing integral to the intake itself.
@CarQuicks I ended up just leaving all the silver washers off since they didn't include actual instructions and it was getting dark out. Took it out for a test ride and it sounds PERFECT, can't wait to hear it with my turbosmart dual port. Thanks for the quick response 💯
Man, I love your videos on the GRC.
More to come! Appreciate your support!
Love that you don’t edit out minor mistakes. Keeps it more realistic.
yeah, I like to show its not all perfect... a lot of times. LOL!

How does it flutter though 👀 😅

James Harden!
Haha! Appreciate it!
Could you get some flyby clips so we know what it sounds like under load? I can't find any good ones on RUclips
Absolutely, after I'm done driving around my area (this week) I am shooting a review, sound test on the intake so stayed tuned, I got you!

Where did those 2 thick washers go? The instructions are vague as fuck
