- Full in-depth Van Tour of a 2021 Sprinter Van built custom for a solo female traveling with a large dog. When we built this van we kept the owner and her dog's comfort as the top priority so they could both have as much room as possible while maximizing the space.

My favourite was the pull-out bed extension and the collapsible counter for more floor space!
thank you! both great uses of space! some people desire more storage so the flip up countertop isn’t for everyone, but we found the floor space makes the van feel more open and we really like that!

Wouldn’t not having an elbow on the kitchen sink likely cause the smell from the grey water to stink up the van? 3:54 3:55
so far in the vans we’ve built, that hasn’t been our experience. we’ve found that if the grey water tanks have a fitting that vents air out, we don’t smell any of it in the van

nice design. when the toilet is pulled out and in use, there does not seem to be enough room for her legs in front.
truthfully, there’s not! that was what she insisted on though so that’s what we did. we might go back in and change it, but haven’t finalized that yet.
@@keithandhannahh i am in the process of designing a non-extended van with a toilet and measured that i would need about 32" to sit and have room for my knees not to be scraping against the wall. (measured with a Laveo Dry Flush which may be an inch or 2 longer) There is sooo much length on the driver's side. this would not have been a difficult thing to fit. By looking at the design of the van and wet bath, this will not be an easy fix after all of the work that you have done.
hopefully that design works well for you! heard good things about the Laveo dry flush toilet. and as far as changing to toilet design in this van, it would actually be easier than expected as there is a small wall that sits in front of the toilet, so it would be a matter of popping that wall off, turning the toilet 90° to pull out into the van instead of into the shower and covering that with a door instead of a wall. the flaw to this design was the client reduced the shower size to 24”x24” rather than 24”x32” but has now seen how it could have been improved per our recommendations. her priority was maximizing space for her dog so we advised our opinion but ultimately went with what she wanted 😊
