When Annette had to start working from home after Covid 2020 started, she decided she wanted to find a fun activity that her & her partner at the time could do together. Although the relationship ended before the van was done being built, Annette decided to still give life on the road a try, all by herself. Years later, Annette attests that moving into the van was the best decision she has ever made, making life long friends & discovering more about herself along the way. Her van features a large dining room table that converts into a bed, a spacious kitchen, and swivel passenger seats.

She has a lovely home, and she looks at least 15 years younger than she is. Your van is cool, but maybe you should hang a poster of Dita von Teese somewhere in it

He did a great job, and when you open the doors in the back all you need is one shower curtain to completely be boxed in and have a outdoor shower it would be perfect
Thanks! That’s the idea actually, if I can find a long shower head with hose. My water heater is under my sink so it needs to be long.

I had that same fridge in my semi. I absolutely loved it.
I’m loving it now, learning where to put foods so they don’t freeze. It works with my solar and keeps charged which is most important not being a 12v.
@@AnnettesVanTease I like I can hold jugs of juice and half gallon of milk in the door and colder items further back.

Annette i take my hat off to you, thats a lovely conversion better than some so called professional builds posted on youtube. a real testament to your skill and determination at what must have been a turbulent time, hell just think of what you could do with a clear head.
i myself am looking to build a dayvan for me and Trouble my Jack Russell so will pinch a few ideas from your build, maybe think of a dog yourself a lot less hassle than a partner, stay safe and fun travels bonny lass x

A thought. Shower curtain on both sides between the open rear doors (one to keep the van insides dry n the other for privacy). It would make a nice sized shower space, then throw a black bladder gravity shower bag on the roof until warm (or just a warm rainy day) and Van La. Watch for windy days and drones if showering naked.

Really nice build out. She even trimmed the windows. I could see a outdoor shower set up when the back doors are open. Just add some privacy from door to door.
Thank you so much. Yes, that was actually my idea too, I need a longer shower hose. For the time being, I’ve been finding showers everywhere on iOverlander. Next summer I’d like to have that set up as an alternative though. 😊

its hard to see that youre in a toxic relationship when youre the victim. and the longer youre in that relationship, the harder it is to leave. ive seen it happen. a newer friend of mine, who is always there, and has actually helped pull his friends out of toxic relationships didnt even realize it for 6 months, he realized it on his own when his partner wanted a poly relationship but didnt actually ask his current partner about it, and that friend does not want anything to do with polygami. that was a major dealbreaker, and that is what got himself out. that guy's actual partner has been with him for several years and is completely brainwashed from what i hear. and at this point, except for physically going there and breaking them apart, there isnt really anything that can be done
It’s sad when people stay. It took 3.5 years for me to realize what was truly happening. It was doomed from the first date. I know what to look for in the red flags now, I hope anyway.

I'm 5 4 too. Is it a medium roof?
It is and I believe it was 5.8 before I added the floor and roof.
You really thought of everything. Well I'm certain things pop up you adapt to. You seem very capable of seeing the technology and functionality in a way that is also tastefully executed with a feminine eye but not over the top. Just right really. Now cheer up. Everyone farts and burps. However something has to happen with the toilet next to the driver's seat. How about a little outhouse + shower trailer? Can double as carrying your bicycles and hiking gear. Just make sure to put good security chains and alarm system on it tied to main van alarms.
Great idea. I’ve been finding showers on the road. I do need an alternative which is going to be an outdoor shower. I need a new shower head so I can use it. The toilet usually doesn’t stay there, mostly it’s back under the bed or lounge seat. It’s also cleaned daily but I do like your ideas. Thank you.
How many watts does that fridge use compared to the domestic fridges I see most van lifers use?
Hi I need to look that up. It seems like it was in the 500 for a year but I’ll look it up and get back to you. I do have 300 watts solar and I’m able to run this just off the sun with zero issues. I was concerned it would take too much power but it doesn’t.

I need to tell you Annette I'm 6'2" so I'd need to be horizontal most of the time.
Well you would also need to be diagonal since the width is only 6 ft. I think you’ll need a high roof. 😊

I apologize, I believe I saw this comment but my response didn’t post. This is a Ram ProMaster 1500, with a 136 inch wheel base and medium roof.
She definitely lucked out by getting rid of the guy. Stuck in a small van with a toxic person can turn out badly.
