Sara and Mike left their high paying jobs to live a life filled with freedom. To do so, they self converted this shuttle bus into a beautiful tiny home on wheels. Their shuttle bus features all of the creature comforts of home. They built a very functional kitchen, clever bathroom, and have ample storage space for all of the things they need while living life to fullest on the road.
Our favorite design idea is their bed layout. There's so much room for a fold out office space!

I love your home. Very well thought out and pretty! Sarah you should make a website for your earrings and especially the drawer pulls. Unique cabinet hardware is very expensive. You could do very well with your lovely designs.

Hi buss lifers. Nice build. Good to have the e-bikes for getting around. A good idea is to pick up a good cover if you do not already have one to keep the bikes out of sight. They are valuable and a magnet for thieves. It only takes a minute to cut off security cables with a cordless grinder. So out of sight in less of a risk. An alarm system is also good to add. A nightime security camera is a great idea.

The bus looks great, very comfortable and also practical. The only thing I would change would be to install a partition between the bed and the worktop so that the sleeping area would be separated from the kitchen. And above all, a very likeable couple has the pretty one Girl has a really sweet voice. She should discuss fairy tale books for children 🙂 Greetings from Germany, if I didn't have 8 dogs and 7 cats and wasn't already 63 years old.......I would go into van life straight away get in.

Perfect size bus and an amazing well thought out layout. It has everything. If I did a build I would have to have the A/C, Heat, toilet area, shower, hot water, solar and battery bank, dedicated bed space, and so much storage, this one checks all the boxes.
Sara and Mike really have all their bases covered and the design still manages to feel open and spacious!

Great bus. Being registered in Florida, who do they have vehicle insurance with? I don't know about other states, but insurance for homemade builds is becoming a huge problem.
It’s honestly the largest hurdle even with it registered as a Motor Home!! We use state farm just as a regular shuttle bus
Very nice couple, bus build. Know it seems "freeing" to not work at a job or profession. I am an RNBSN(retired), husband was teacher x 33+yrs. We went on vacations, hubby had his boat for Great Lakes fishing, kids (2) had $$ saved for college. Just didn't waste $$ eating out much, not newest car, etc. It is much easier to work your butt off when you are young. Believe me it's harder when you get older. Get a job and work remotely since you want to travel. You will thank yourselves in your later years. Van lifers who plan for their future work remotely, continue to save $$ AND enjoy their journey! I agree, I’m in my 50s and me and my friends all agree that our 50s are not the new anything, they are harder than our 40s. Our 40s were not any harder than our 30s or 20s, but by 50s, things got harder. Something happened somewhere around age 53 for many of us and being in a body just started taking much more energy. And I’m not talking menopause bec not all of us are women. I thank God I focused on making money when I was young bec I’m so tired so often now, that I’m glad I can work part-time now that I’m almost 60. I had adventures too when I was young; I managed to do both - saving money and having adventures. I spent weeks backpacking a la Rick Steves in many different countries, I was a Peace Corps volunteer, I got an education and did lots of fun learning experiences post-grad, etc etc. But my goodness, put money away now. Invest and diversify. It’s a lot harder to work hard at 60-70 than it is at 20-30.

Honestly we find a lot of street parking. I wouldn’t take it into the city and the average RV gets about 8-10mpg ours is almost exactly the same. Sadly gas is expensive but it’s what we have to deal with.
