Any money worth stealing from a mint will have a serial number on it and I'm fairly certain the mint would know exactly which numbers were on the money they made and the robbers stole. You would never be able to spend or fence the money it would in essence be worthless the moment you stole it.
It would also greatly increase the risk of being found. If you spent some of the money and it found its way to a bank it would raise suspicion and that area would begin to be monitored very heavily. If you continued to spend that money in the same area it is only a matter of time until you get caught. That is why you see the bank robbers in movies, they ask for non serialized bills (the movie producers have done just a little research). It is also the reason why banks are more likely to be the target of robberies, they receive a lot of money in deposits that are not serialized and if stolen, there is almost nothing that can be done to determine if a stolen bill is used in a store or even deposited into another bank.

+Connor Steppie the only real difference is the metallic composition (which metals are used) and dimensions of the coin.. the €2 coin uses just copper and nickel however a £2 coins outer ring is roughly 20% zinc and the other 80% made up of mostly copper as well as nickel.. €2 coins contain no zincthe inner circle is made of "cupronickel" an alloy of copper and nickel, however there's less copper in this alloy meaning the metal is silver and not brass coloured. The outer ring is cupronickel on a €2 coin however there is more copper to change the colour. There is no evidence to suggest the inner circle of a £2 coin is a sandwich as it is in the €2 coin

So it's not necessarily inflation that's going on unless they're producing more than they're taking out of circulation.
At least somebody gets it
I love commemorative 2€ coins ! :D
Is it made from good
Good photography. But in the commentary, I missed the "why" of the nickel-copper-nickel sandwich and the stamped-out ring.
how do they get the dye axis right
Would they do a similar process for £2?
Now the elegant sophistication of (a little bit less than) two dollars.
Ooooh, very cool :)
