Worked at a place that made neodymium magnets. They melt the iron then add the boron and neodymium plus a little nickel and cobalt. Then it is cast and crushed to fine powder under nitrogen. This powder is pressed into blanks that are sintered under a vacuum with a rather weak magnetic field on it, This weak field does not charge the magnet but polarized the crystal structure so it can accept a charge. Next they are cut and ground to spec and coated with epoxy or plated with nickel. When they are ready they are charged by a powerful pulsed electromagnet. It has a field a couple orders of magnatude stronger than the resulting magnet. It will wipe your credit cards from 12 feet away.😮
I purchased a sample pack of rare-earth magnets from AMF in Australia about 6 years ago for $25. My only online purchase ever. Those cute little magnets have transformed my workshop. Tool holding and so many projects, I'm amazed there are still a few "wasted" holding photos on the fridge. I should proabably order some more. $0.02
One of mankinds greatest failings has been to not see the full potential of what can be done with magnets. Typically, we just thought there was nothing left to be discovered about magnetism, so we didnt try. Same with crystallization, photosynthesis, ion collection and storage, chromosome manipulation.

hello there, for me this is an interesting issue, something that needs to be explained in orders, step by step...Here, i feel like someone is reading a story, a report,.. and at the end ,..not many can remember anything good, ..I am sorry, but , that's my opinion. Thanks, anyway!
This is the same as the "How its Made" video about magnets just with some extra footage. This is borderline plagiarism. At least try using an original script instead of just altering a bit the original.
If you saw Trump at one of his stupid rallies, I almost died laughing. when He stated that when magnets get wet, they stop working, & that my friends is 1 of the dumbest things I have ever heard in my life. Obviously, he flunked science at school; he wants to be president again GOD HELP AMERICA, because trump can't lmao.
American pronunciation. They haven't yet mastered Antarctica or Aluminium yet. Don't get me started on New Yorkers who think 'Important' is pronounced 'Inporent'.
This video can't decide if it's a home entertainment video or a technical discussion. It's very important we know thoroughly, but you sprint through induction furnace behavior and metallurgy. Then again if it's entertainment you're dropping terms wayy to hard for kids and norms. Pick.
There are so many videos on RUclips detailing this process. They all use this exact footage and very similar wording. They cover the same points in the same order. Even the list of ingredients is the exact same in order and wording. And no sources cited. What kind of mass plagiarism is happening with this specific topic?

I don't think it was created that way
@@CaptainDiscover You are correct. You don't think.

Mag-ic innit
But just what is the function of magnetism?😊
What do you think we can do with it
@@face5877 anything... Seeing that it makes up everything
Being able to truely understand how magnets work would be a game changer

you should have at least, gave citation to your source. How its made.
Did he say SMOOTHENED??????? WTF?
6:20 look what the magnetic fields did to his hair.
It's age and genetics, not a magnetic field.
Did you slow the voice down? It's not worth making the video longer.
frrr

Just more AI voice, stolen content.
Is the video precisely the same?
Have you noticed that certain segments of the video are horizontally reversed?
“Smoothened” is not English. The word is “smoothed”.

*EVERY* video with synthesized voice gets an _automatic thumbs down!_ 👎🏻
But once they get wet, magnets cease to work anymore. I know that sounds stupid but trump believes that. 😂😂😂
It's STILL better than being eaten by a shark... (apparently)

I'm intrigued why this manufacturing process isn't fully automated
in some countries human labor is dirt cheap, much cheaper than automatizing it.
lol look at the way electrical switches are made video, entirely manual
👍...Incredible process....makes me really appreciate the magic and fun magnets provide.
this is very scare my cat is sad
GRAMMAR important it am
So direction frame video the does of.
So much of this is taken from Discovery UK’s video and I’ve seen other parts before. Think it’s all just plagerized
Aluminium melts at 650°C if it's heated to above 1500°C won't it get vapourized ?
Why are so many videos shown backwards. Or should that be sdrawkcab.
How come some of the images are reversed?
Always a pet peiv of mine. Same with people who take pictures of themselves and the writing on their shirts is backwards.
Because he swiped nearly all of this from a "how it's made" episode
usually to avoid a copyright strike
Great job!
7:58 do you mean "pattern"? PatteRRRRRn? Not "Patton"?

This is an art form, such beautiful crafting. I love magnets. 🧲
Dont get amazed ,ancient egyptians didnt have neodemium magnets ,not also liquid oxygen, the stones were molded ,molten sand
