BOSE stands for Bring Other Sound Equipment
If it ain’t got highs, and it ain’t got lows, it must be Bose!
1:25 He wants $7200. I'll give him $7500 if he'll keep all the Bose crap.
I have the Soundcraft GB4 32 with a ATA case and dog house w/wheels. Only difference between the GB4 and GB8 is the number of subgroup busses other than that the consoles are the same. These consoles are pretty good. I've had my GB4 since 2006 and have never had any issues. They sound good and have pretty good headroom so this GB 48 is a good console but as you said it's heavy especially in a well made road case. My GB4 32 is currently up for sale because I'm no longer am hauling gear from one place to another (down sizing) and I am excepting offers.
Great video! Maybe less time on each offer and more different offers. Thank you!
Thanks Robert! I'm trying to find the right balance still and also make the videos a bit longer so the Monday morning premiere's are more fun. I'll keep dialing it in, thanks for the feedback.
I can smell that gear from here . Old cigarettes and old beer
That was the worst part about the carpet covered gear back in the day, that smell would linger on gear forever.
Cut my teeth on a GB, every one ive run into eventually has the phantom power rail go bad.
@@mikelasher That’s a shame. Did these have a separate power supply (or supplies) that you could at least swap out?
The creativity some people use in the wording in their ads is...impressive.
That's a generous way to put it 😂
I’ve been out of the industry for 10 years, but 20k for Crown Itech amps with power distribution is a decent price. Another 20 for the vertec isn’t bad either. Could be good for smaller company looking to get into a line array for not a ton of money. I used to build amp racks, signal and power distribution for arena tours.
I agree, I'm a bit surprised those amps are sitting on the market for so long at that price, especially packaged up so nicely in those racks. Thanks for leaving a comment here, it's great to hear from someone with your experience.
@@DcSoundOp I would have guess it’s because the itechs are pretty old now, and the lack of Dante support. Personally I would get 2 array processors and bypass the amp processing. Brings the rig up to today’s digital technology for not a lot.
Great video as always! I thought the four homemade subs were cool, looks like fun to play with.
They would be fun, just not sure if I'd want to be the one paying for them.
In college (1980) I used a couple of 802s on sticks with a touring vocal group with a crown amp (don’t remember the model). I was young and naive lol, but I do remember that I preferred the Klipch Heresey speakers to the 802s.
To be fair, your options for light-weight boxes to tour with in 1980 were pretty darn limited & those Bose probably seemed like they were from the future compared to a lot of the other stuff available at the time.
I have a picture of my rental system for church for 4 or 5 years for there festival. It was a GB8 32 Channel… I thought it was comparable to the Allen & Heath GL series
Nice one, what was the rest of the system you rented to go with it? The outboard gear can make or break you on a big analog console 😂
This series of Bose is great. But as a pa? Don’t know
I just got a Yeti Pro (1967 livery) for $30 as is on eBay condition looks good seller claimed to not have cable (mini USB is plausible) but it has stereo XLR output! $250 list! I’ll let you know if it works when it arrives!
@@beatsbyandrew That’s a great deal. It’s amazing what people list as-is just because they can’t be bothered to figure out how to test it.
Bose 401’s because they are 1/2/ as good as you think they are 😆
Bose pa is so nasty
