One of the things I like about Seth is that he always gives credit to his writers. He doesn't pretend he did it all himself, and he gives the writing team a chance to get in the spotlight.

I adore this segment more than words can say…. So much delicious comedy, but my favorite unscripted moment, Amber reacting to the Harriet Tubman bit with audience groans and she does a double take and says “you know she’s fine with this joke”, I nearly choked on my iced tea. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😂👏👍

I had braced myself for the return of the suit and it was still jarring. Loved the hair and the suit looks good FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS ONLY SETH. As a lesbian I have to stand up for being casual at all times

It's a shame that's a lesbian cultural thing, because it's also my thing and soooooooooooo many people have assumed I'm a lesbian, including several lesbians. That's what I get for not conforming and chasing gender stereotypes.

What's making the joke better for me is i read ur comment before watching the joke

I usually have a very high empathy level for embarrassment - like, say, if someone utterly flubs a joke where the whole set up is a quick fire joke round - but Amber handled it so perfectly I didn't even feel uncomfortable. She just rolls with it, and you can tell she's more amused at her own mistake than anyone else.
Gotta love a lady with such a sense of self confidence and humor. And the way she takes it, as well as her reaction to the pickle juice, it's like you just KNOW here is someone who completely loves their job.
This never ever gets old - always looking forward to the : Hey Seth, why don't you tell one-part. Best demonstration of how a good joke can work for eternity.

Idk. I know they're funny but most of the punchlines were pretty obvious given the very specific setup and context.
They always react this way, I think it's just a natural reaction to hearing the terrible truth of the world in joke form. They get it, but it's more painful than funny.

CORRECTION: “When The Sun Comes Out” composed by Leslie Uyeda and premiering at Portland Opera this month is NOT the first lesbian opera. That distinction probably goes to “Patience and Sarah” composed by Paula Kimper (premiered at Lincoln Center in 1998). I say “probably” because of all those older operas where mezzos play guys, wear trousers, and romance the sopranos. Those are almost lesbian operas.
