Made a port visit to St Maarten, back in 1989, in the US Navy. It's half controlled by the Dutch and half by the French. it basically is a stop off for cruise ships, with casinos, duty free shops, beaches, bars & restaurants and brothels. The French side had a nude beach. Everything else is poverty. I wouldn't touch a game in the casinos, after watching the dealers (and I had a safe full of money and didn't need a temptation to empty it and end up in Levenworth). The beer was all Heiniken or Amstel Light, or Budweiser. The Dutch don't drink Heiniken or Amstel Light...they export it and drink the good stuff. The cruise ship tourists are loud, rude Americans, but the locals are friendly. I dealt mainly with Dutch port liason who everyone knew. All I had to do was ask around to find him, if we needed something. He was an interesting guy; Dutch, lived in Canada, settled in St Maarten. he had done National Service in The Netherlands and Canada; and, when he came there, he was the only guy on the island with military experience and found himself training what passed for a military. We drank beers and talked and I noticed a couple of real gorgeous women walk by and he said "Columbian." I asked how he knew. He said he knew which "house" they worked in and then told me about the brothels. Didn't find out if his info was accurate. Not my scene. nice guy though, about as laid back as you could be and still able to provide services for real clients, like pumping bilges and the like, in a professional manner.
With Jerichos arm broken, i wonder if Jim had considered turning Lance heel and teaming him up with Candido instead of Balls teaming with Chris. Heel Storm and Candido vs the RnR would have been great down the line.
