    The game creep'd up on me and now i'm really into it. My big problem is the obscure paywalls you only see once you are invested, which is an actual strategy you see a lot in f2p games. Like unlocking traits on epic gear.

      @@gimmedecash Some traits, especially offensive ones, are very expensive, even more so for field boss drops. Sure there are ways to make lucent playing the game or upgrade your gear with blessing (using blues to upgrade), but eventually you hit a wall and have to accept it will be slow process to "finish" gearing up.

    I 100% understand what you're talking about. I got exactly the same feeling from the game. I think part of the issue is how sanitary the UI is, and the characters/classes/story lack flavor. None of the game has *character* like a wow warlock, or Vivec/Morrowind in ESO, or The First in FFXIV:Shadow Bringers.
    The features of the game are awesome, but I'm just going to say it... too bland, too Korean-MMOish!

    A guide.
    * Main quests bring you up to 50
    * Start running dungeons to farm for gear you need for your builds
    * Do world dungeons while doing the quests for said areas (they look like scrolls)
    * Keep doing that and I already hit 2500 power. (No whaling, just what the game offers you)
    * About a week of playing and doing that you should be at 2500-2700 in power if you’re consistent.
    * Soon Tier 2 dungeons will drop and you just farm the better gear for your builds.
    Extra info
    ( Don’t bother with world bosses, the item drops for the person who does the most damage to the boss so you’re just wasting time against whales)
    Important do your amoti or however it’s spelt and collect the toy characters and . They give boss drop bonuses, gold bonuses, xp bonuses etc. Helps with farming and everything else.
    The game is P2W so whales will always have advantages. Until we cap our own characters with a little more time put into the game.

      @@gimmedecash basically u have 2 boss systems. peace and conflict. both are bad imho. peace boss takes 'contribution' of players into account, so DPS and healers get all the drops obviously (healing people and damage are considered contribution). There is also a slight luck factor, so tanks can technically get some loot also, it is not balanced for them though in any way. And also - better geared players have a better chance of getting even more gear.
      Conflict bosses take 'guild contribution' into account, so only the strongest guilds have a real chance of getting ANY loot from those (on our server, those are zerg alliances, as you can have up to 4 guilds of hardcore whale players together in what is called an 'alliance' - we CAN as well but...hard to compete against 280 top level geared and hardcore players). wow leveling is engaging? excuse me? its the most boring "get to current expansion afap" type of content these days imo, and its kinda forcing you to not enjoy old stories or punishing you for doing so!
    other than that, yeah totally agree, I had quite high hopes for TL, and its like you said: meh... calls it self L3 and yet no open world pvp with penalties, no summoner class, no slow level grinding, no races, even that everyone can craft, just made player interactions necessary but here I can all solo it, the dungeon are cool first time around but thats about it and probably more reason, these just pop out of my head right away...
    And I dont know why, I like the combat but its not really for me, way too little spells and the fact that you have to choose them pre-encounter for me sucks, as Id rather just have more and choose between them according to the situation at hand...
    Also transformations are not really working for me, but oke, not too big of a deal in the game however what really is triggering me are the plushies, like wtf, theyre so not fitting here as you have this hot looking ultra graphically amazing game world and then you put almost smth like a cartoon character into it. yuck
    but thats just my opinion, and POV ;]

    • @gimmedecash
      @gimmedecash  Месяц назад +1

      Well said! I felt TL is always trying to rush you to end-game and not really giving you the time to take it all in if that makes sense (no diddy) but in terms of wow being more engaging, my point is in terms of moving around the world and getting to the next objective, I'm going through the "new player" experience right now actually and will at some point probably make a video on that as well!

    • @quietcookie1112
      @quietcookie1112 Месяц назад +1

      @@gimmedecash yea, but honestly I sometimes feel like thats not really the games fault, as many of them try to rush you into the end game, but rather a general behaviour of people today and not just in games, people just wanna do everything fast and be done with it and doesnt take their time to enjoy anything along the way, even I sometimes feel that way (not intentionally)..
      About wow new player experience, I have a lot to say about that (hope its ok sharing in TL comments, if not, sorry) as I played wow first time few years back on classic and this year on TWW expansion (first time retail) and it was, idk, interesting but I just feel sad we call this (and according to numbers it actually is) a MMORPG king... Ive played so many better mmos throughout the years, the classic was okay, quite enjoyable and took some time, endgame way kinda "tryhard" for me which I dont like as everyone were looking at stats on your raid runs but still nice experience, really like open world pvp like in the old days, even though I s*cked hard... :D
      but the retail, oh my :D what a mess! I dont even know where to start... I wanted to go through few of the expansions (Legion/Shadowlands) story leveling up, half way throught I was at new expansion level and the game sort of stopped giving me any reward for story anymore (I could have probably finished but wouldnt progress anywhere) and was kinda telling me to go enjoy the new expansion story even though I really wanted to finish what I started... Also finding people when youre solo for these old dungs is almost impossible, so some story quests were sort of "locked" because of it. New expansion, well it was OK, I guess, the underground maps are amazing, story is idk, I dont like wow storytelling, also I really hate the fact that alliance and horde are now friendly, like wtf :D when they kidnapped somebody of the other faction I was cheering and then we were going to rescue? why? (not gonna spoil it tho, but who played it probably knows), and so no open world pvp between them? yes you can switch to pvp version, but who would do that? mostly the geared ones, and thats not fun, you wanna meet the geared and get owned, but then you also wanna meet the low stats like you and have a good fight.... but on the normal non-violent version its like wtf, the other faction is there, but you cant interact with it, what even is the point of having them there then, you cant fight, you cant group up, you just see them... thats not what I call mmo 0:] and the raids/dungs, ehm the min maxing and try harding, its so boring and toxic for me, but thats again just todays time...
      Just a reminder, this was my POV of a new player...

      @@gimmedecash honestly, go ahead and try it, maybe youll have a better experience, just keep in mind there is leveling phase and then there is the end game phase which are two different things and the game turns around the end game... idk what exactly I was expecting but sprinting through lvls 1-70 and then at normal pace going through 70-80 TWW content so that I could be told Im a bad player while trying my best in the end game, wasnt it... :D Kinda sticked around for my friends, but only for like a month, dont think Id enjoy solo. classic was like a year or maybe even more for me with my friends, way better imo, looking forward for a classic restart :]
      What I will be missing on classic looking back now is Zandalari Troll, really like the straight standing kinda athletic male troll char :D

    I really dont know what it is about Throne & Liberty that just didnt light that fire inside of me to keep playing in all honesty. Maybe it's trying to be too many things at the same without having its own identity but the fact is that it just wasn't for me 🤷‍♂ I do see the appeal though because if you're looking for a grindy game then this is IT. But yeah for me personally I was hoping for more engagement and fun instead of menus on top of menus of items to redeem and daily rewards galore. MMOs in general should give you incentives and motivate you to make it to end game because most MMOs are very time consuming but T&L didnt do that for me even if the combat and the morphing was fun. There is definitely some good times to be had here but overall I felt that I can have more fun playing some other game instead of this one so the interest just fell off in all honesty

      if you're someone not looking for a guild based pvp focused mmorpg, throne is not for you. Currently the game cannot sustain a huge player base based off how the end game is designed and lack of content for casual/solo players. Normally servers are run by either 1 mega alliance, or like on my server a competition between the 3 top alliance. That means only around 1000 people per server can actually experience and enjoy alot of the end game pvp content. But if you are one of those players the experience is not like anything else, and you will probably never experience anything like it ever again. 1000 players fighting in the same area is not something most studios would ever try to tackle.
