My Mother used to make this. (she was the Queen of Casseroles) I have not made this but I think that that will change soon. Yum, I love all of the ingredients. Thank you!
I just recently made another version of Chicken Divan, but this one sounds amazing! I love the addition of stuffing and the ritz crackers on top. I will definitely be making this soon!! Thanks!
Steaming is a fantastic way of preserving the vitamins in broccoli, although I don't think I'll cook it before baking as I like it crunchier. Anyway I'm looking forward to making this. Thanks for the recipe!
This looks good! I make one but I do it a lil different! 1st layer is broccoli, chicken or turkey, then the homemade cream of mushroom soup with sour cream and mayo added in along with seasoning, topped with cheese and cracker topping! Bake to goodness! I like to cover rice with mine!!
When you started adding ingredients for the sauce, I thought, "This lady is doing something!!" When you pulled out the Ritz for the topping, I thought, " She's the master!!" 🤣
It’s pretty crazy how much recipe spam there is nowadays. Everyone thinks they can make a quick buck with AI and the platforms have nothing in place to stop them.
I made this tonight and it was a hit! I admit I've never had chicken divan before, and all the recipes made the dish seem ... unsubstantial. The addition of dressing fixed that. The sauce was delicious. Quite unlike anything I've ever had before. Everything went well together and it looked great. This recipe is a keeper!
ive been making this forever but a little different, I always used rice and a can of cream of mushroom, and with more cheese for the top... I'll try it with stuffing and crackers, but that sauce is too much work!
Some of the measurements you give in the video don't match the printable version. For example, you say 4 cups stuffing but the recipe says 2. You say 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of pepper but the recipe says 2 tsp of each.
DISCREPANCY: Your sauce write says 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons pepper! Your video says one teaspoon salt, one teaspoon pepper, which I believe is correct. I’m glad I don’t over salt my food and thought 2 teaspoons seemed like too much.
This recipe has MANY steps and ingredients. Watch out you’ll need three or four pots , a baking dish, lots of measuring spoons and cups. Your dishwasher will be full of stuff and your kitchen will be a mess.
I love your cheerful demeanor as you taught us to create this delicious Chicken Divan dish. Thank you!
Now that is a true homemade sauce! It could go on many different meals. I’ll keep that recipe close by in my kitchen. Thank you.
You are welcome (:
I like casseroles because once they’re in the oven you’re pretty much done. It looks delicious, another saver.
🌸❤️🌸
So true!
My Mother used to make this. (she was the Queen of Casseroles) I have not made this but I think that that will change soon. Yum, I love all of the ingredients. Thank you!
Thanks for demonstrating the from scratch sauce. I'm not a fan of the can I call, "cream of" goopiness. I'm saving this one for my files!

I love a teaspoon or two of curry powder in my Chicken Divan. Divine!

Love you 😍
When you started adding ingredients for the sauce, I thought, "This lady is doing something!!" When you pulled out the Ritz for the topping, I thought, " She's the master!!" 🤣
made this today except I cheated and did cream of chicken soup. was very good. layer of stuffing on the bottom
A most delicious looking recipe; and presented by a real person-not another robot voice.

I have never though of putting stuffing with Chicken Divan.
If you don't care for the stuffing, try a layer of cooked rice instead. My family loves chicken divan that way!
Ya worth a try (:
What’s in the stuffing?

Always serve it over rice.
Is there something I could use instead of sour cream?
Plain Greek yogurt is a great substitute for sour cream
@@Thestayathomechef awesome, thank you! 😊🍽

I think cheese flavored crackers or even nacho cheese Doritos would also make a delicious, crunchy topping!
Could be worth a try (:
Hey how are you I am first to comment

It needs the bigger amount of stuffing. Cut the salt and pepper.
There are discrepancies between the video and the written recipe
I’ll eat almost any dish that uses more than 2 tablespoons of butter! 😅
haha
Dame that looks good but very high in fat, wow.

That is way to much ingredients to make the sauce
