Most predictions tend to be biased and based on a persons country. As Jamaican I too could reflect a bias. However my predictions that Jamaica will finish 1,2 in the men 100m is based on the consistency of these men and not on just one performance. Both Oblique and Kishane are consistently running faster than everyone else which i believe gives them the best chance of coming out on top.
I think Lyles will finally cement himself in everyone's eyes as a serious 100m runner with the win. He's been very consistent and continues to get faster with most every race. I think the best competition at this point with be Omanyala and Seville, who have both been very consistent and fast. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tebogo was in the mix racing for a metal as well. I think this race will be won with one of the fastest ever Olympic 100m races, around 9.75.

@@keithbaker944 Yohan was winning against an injured Bolt different situation. Lyles has never ran 9.7 and isn't injured and Thompson slowed down in all of his races this season. Lyles had to go all out to run 9.81
You can't compare bolt to any athlete, bolt had already ran 9.69 and 9.58 by then so he knew what it took to get in great shape, blake basically ran what he did at trials but it was only good enough for second, lyles has never broken 9.8 that's the problem with this comparison, if kishane even improve a fraction and noah improve significantly he won't be able to beat him just my opinion but for me this race isn't easy to predict because everyone is coming prepared trust me oblique, tebogo, kerly, and Jacob it's gonna be fun if they all male it to the final
never. His [0,60]m segment is too "weak" compared to the top 5 GOAT sprinters. Noah is just no builded to drop a 6.3x 60 m clocking and this range is required to go in the 9.6x.
And the 100 m final for men I have kishane Thompson oblique and Noah that’s all I see it in the men’s final, but it’s gonna be a good final amazing final to be honest honestly anybody can win
Let's not forget that in 1988, Ben Johnson was declared the winner at first before behind disqualified for doping. The point being that even though he "cheated" (and we ignore that lewis was not that clean), he was not #1 when he was cheating before the olympic, but still manage to win.
In the 2012 Jamaican trials, Bolt clearly wasn’t going full effort. nothing against Blake but Bolt looked like he was jogging. And for this years 100m i’m predicting one of the top guys to not make the final. whether it’s Kishane, Lyles, Tobogo, Seville, Bednarek. With how much depth there is now. the heats and semis aren’t as easy of a cake walk like they used to be so i think someone’s gonna be too confident or comfortable and lose a spot
In 2012, we already knew for a fact that Bolt was capable of going as fast as 9.58. Irrespective of the fact that Blake got the better of him at the Jamaican trials, we already knew he was capable of going faster than Blake had ever gone up to that point. We can not say for a fact that Noah can go faster than Thompson has ever gone because he simply hasn't done so. That's the big difference between Bolt/Blake 2012 and Lyles/Thompson 2024.
Well unless Thompson has set a time 9.77 outside of jamaca I ain't believing it. 9.77 +1.1m/s wind aided. Lyles ran 9.81s -0.8m/s headwind, see the difference, Lyles about to run 9.75 this olympics 🥇
Andre degrasse always finds a way on the podium. He was not ranked highly before Tokyo and snuck a medal, he won the 200m over Noah Lyles who seemed to be overwhelmed by the pressure. The Olympics are a whole different ball game and these ranking do not mean anything if you don’t know how to perform when it matters
I'm honestly SCARED to predict who's going to win, because there's SO MANY of them clustered at the top, that any one of them can get an extra breath of wind that day, and pull it off. I HOPE Thompson to place first, he's such a beautiful PHYSIOLOGICAL MASTERPIECE, he deserves to win on that alone; but "IF" it's not him, I think Seville, Tebogo, or Lyles (2nd and 3rd).

9.77 was run as he was easing up.
Good luck with that....
Lyles in a new OR 9.62 !
good one
never. His [0,60]m segment is too "weak" compared to the top 5 GOAT sprinters.
Noah is just no builded to drop a 6.3x 60 m clocking and this range is required to go in the 9.6x.
He is not my favorite, but I will NEVER bet against Noah Lyles.
Jeezus the size of that Kishane fellah. I would love to have him playing for Munster and Ireland XV
“ He who tapers the best, wins the most”
-Oh Wise Someone
And the 100 m final for men I have kishane Thompson oblique and Noah that’s all I see it in the men’s final, but it’s gonna be a good final amazing final to be honest honestly anybody can win
Let's not forget that in 1988, Ben Johnson was declared the winner at first before behind disqualified for doping. The point being that even though he "cheated" (and we ignore that lewis was not that clean), he was not #1 when he was cheating before the olympic, but still manage to win.
All I know is I cannot wait! 😅
Thompson will have & Oblique is going to surprise.
Bolt was injured before the olympics that's the only reason why Blake beat him.
That's also true, which is why this comparison from TRP is a complete different story
Well unless Thompson has set a time 9.77 outside of jamaca I ain't believing it. 9.77 +1.1m/s wind aided. Lyles ran 9.81s -0.8m/s headwind, see the difference, Lyles about to run 9.75 this olympics 🥇
@@stoneydaniel1812 Thompson slowed down when he ran 9.77. Lyles went all out and got 9.81.
@7:24 nice graphics TRP. I see the growth in the presentation.
It may not be Noah or Kishane you never know.
Stacked field
I like Thompson if no mishaps toss up between Noah and Seville but a slight edge to Seville for second
Give me Noah.
I got Noah but i know its a toss up & too close to call. Fred is also my dark horse . I would not be surprised if he managed to pull out a fast time.
Blake is not the favorite going into London Olympics, 9.75(+1.1) is not even close to bolt's 9.76(-0.1) in Rome.
I'm honestly SCARED to predict who's going to win, because
there's SO MANY of them clustered at the top, that any one of them can get an
extra breath of wind that day, and pull it off.
I HOPE Thompson to place first, he's such a beautiful PHYSIOLOGICAL MASTERPIECE, he deserves
to win on that alone; but "IF" it's not him, I think Seville, Tebogo, or Lyles (2nd and 3rd).
