Hey Ola, back in the 90's, when Swedish Death Metal grow up, did you play that style with maybe your band or alone ? Did you have get influenced by bands like Entombed, Dismember or others Stockholm formations ?
And do you listen or listening to Swedish Black Death, with bands like Dissection, Dawn, Sacramentum or others ? Did you get impacted by the way their sound ?

I’m so sorry about the hard drive, man. I feel for you, dude. I was just watching yesterday, on an audio production tutorial on Udemy, about those things. The instructor is a professional audio engineer that has worked all over the United States in all sorts of studios and stuff, and he has a MA or BA degree in it or something...
Anyway, long story short, he says buy as many of those hard drives as you can afford. You can never have too many. Back them up like nucking futs.

Hey Ola. Sorry to hear about your external hard drive woes. Maybe try a QNAP or other type of NAS in a Raid5 config. I think its the safest and best way to protect and archive your amazing work. It can get expensive, but trust me...worth it to protect all your work. Best of luck! As always, you rock!

Are you annoyed Six feet under used your songs you wrote and didn't tell you they released the album? Have you heard much of the band Psycroptic? form my hometown of Tasmania and getting bigger in europe especially. I dont go much on the vocals but Joe Haley is an excellent guitarist.

I don't really understand people being picky about strings - I used to use Ernie Ball strings because I was told they're the best, but then once I had to have new strings and the local store didn't have those, so I bought the cheapest ones they had (some d'addario strings) and have used those since because I just didn't notice any difference and the price was ~25% less.
If you were starting out playing guitar today. Would you buy an affordable practice amp like a Boss Katana or get a focusrite Scarlett (or similar) and use amp sims? I'm starting to try out amp sims and wish I just went for them in the beginning instead of my Peavey Vypyr VIP 2

Coated strings are meh. I have used GHS boomers for ever. When I first started I was playing ernie balls and moved to DR for a time and then I stuck with GHS because the packs had dynamite on them and they felt good and made some things easier. 11-56 gauge are so good!

Hey! What is your opinion on recrding with a.. dont know what its called, but Im pretty sure Randall has one of these. Its a big box with with a room to place the mic, and ah.. its sealed with foam and stuff, so you dont hear alot outside. Silent recording with speakers! Built in speaker and stuff.. have you tried one? If no, and If you do! Can you swap the speaker with a demon speaker? Or not:)
