    • @Soulliosis
      @Soulliosis Год назад

      @@Heartless-oi3sp I'm not barbacking anymore but can still help lol. It very much depends! It mainly depends on what the employer decides. I barbacked at a busy family owned bar making minimum wage plus whatever the bar tenders would tip me out. But i have some friends who worked at bigger places making minimum plus a percentage of sales for the night. It all depends heavily on the company

    I loved my barbacks! We just called them glass collectors but they did everything mentioned, I'd often share my tips with them (they often were 16/17 and were more likely to be considered for bartender on their birthday as they worked for us previously)

    I'm a bar back and take pride in my job, and in being the best bar back, I can be... People can think what they may about the position, but I know (as do my bartenders and bar manager) that a hard-working and organized bar back is essentially the back bone of the bar. We're the ones who keep it all together and keep things moving efficiently.
    I will say that when done right, it at times, feels like an undervalued position. If you're on top of everything all night (glasses, kegs, fruites, juices, ice, restocking, prepping, cleaning, labeling, etc) you're easily working as hard or harder then anyone else in the building but get paid less.
