@Maria Kelly Yeah, "sweetheart". James was the one who put his parents in a quarter of a million dollars of debt because he was lazy. He's gotta learn the hard ways of hard working if he is to be trusted ever again to manage the bar.

Why do bartenders shaking while smiling always seem so creepy?
Would never tell my bar back to respond, “yes sir” to me. You’re rude. Bar backs keep you stocked to pump out drinks, they help you make money.
Thank you! I’m a bar back myself and man if any self entitled bartender expects me to respond to them with a “yes ma’am/sir” I would make all their shifts absolute hell by only doing the very bare minimum.
There is a lot of context for this episode not given, he may have been an asshole during the episode.

@@creatip123 True, and I don't know if Jon Taffer would purposefully create fake controversy, but Gordon Ramsey, the person that people think of when they hear Taffer yelling, has said he would not fake controversy to improve his shows because it would devalue his career as a resturaunteur. I get that vibe from Jon, but I could be comepletely wrong.

Ramsay's kitchen nightmare, I don't know if it's scripted or not. But I do know that the US version was a lot more intense, with more dense owners/staffs, compared to the UK version.

I would guess basically a KP - the guy that does the sweeping and mopping, ice and drinks, dishwashing, etc.
