With that being said, you will be able to get over it in time and overcome the driving anxiety. I tell you about some specific steps that you can take and tell you a personal story of mine about overcoming a bit of anxiety that I had experienced in the past!

Hey, so here's my situation. I have my permit, and I got into an accident about 2 weeks after getting the permit. I lacked pedal controll, and accidentally hit the gas when pulling into a gas station. Luckily, the person I hit was extremely nice.
Anyhow, it's been sometime after, about 6 weeks after. I haven't been on busier roads in a while, and have mainly been practicing in my yard. I'm still nervous about the road, even moreso now. I'm scared of hurting someone, or getting into an accident.
I'm trying my best to overcome it, but I'm still very nervous and scared. I'm a very nervous and scared person to begin with.
My other problem is that I get very nervous when I see other cars behind me, or alot of cars. I get very, very nervous.
Any advice?

@@user-ep3xu8sv6c I've had my license for almost 2 years. You really do just have to push through it. I do notice I'm very generous with my brake.....and verrrrry slow in parking lots, and gas stations.
I eventually got back out onto the road, and drove again. Was I terrified? Absolutely. Completely terrified. But, I've been a decently safe, cautious driver and have had my license for almost 2 years.
I still get a little nervous with cars behind me, but if I'm irritated and they're right on me, I pull to the side of the road and let them pass me up. Best thing to do.
Also, practice with your pedals on a safe area, as often as possible! Do it frequently!
Prayer, and turning to the Lord helped me more as well.
