I do an full time retail management study with working 9 to 6pm and I’m only able to analyze the charts the day before, and if it’s fit to my setup I open an position an hold it for the day, so just swing trade

Something that Ive struggled as been trading during work hours mostly because Ive been able to have that freedom to check charts but at work it has always led to bad decisions. The mindset of treating it like a business is very valuable. Really helpful topic, everyones situation is different so everyones trading but the processes can be the same.
That's also where the power of forecasting comes in! When you know what you're looking for, whenever those periods of chart checking or 'boredem' come in, you're less likely to place trades to get that so called 'dopamine' hit of just being in the market. Awareness on this is important too :) All the best!

Don't forget about time zone. PST (and many other time zones) has its own challenges, like getting up at 4am (or earlier) and trying not to fall asleep at your boring day job in the afternoon.
Hannah, PLEASE talk about how you decide when to exit a trade. I feel like I am getting closer and closer to understanding where I want my entries to be, but I really struggle with setting a TP or just knowing when to close a trade. I do understand that it really depends on the way someone trades, but I just would like to see how you manage your positions ♥️ Best wishes

@@tomh888 I think my problem has more to do with emotions and dealing with little losses that eventually ends up being a trigger that pulls me to forget my risk management, in short I am having trouble with trade pressure

FTMO says don't trade the news but i want to know lets say you are already in a trade and its in profit and there is a news in the next 7 hours. do you have to close the trade before the news? reason is i have heard people say they had trades pro t o the news dent close and then FTMO closed their account. please can you kindly let me know
couldnt tell ya! had periods when id study the charts 8 hours a day, periods where id do an hour a day, a period where i didnt trade (during uni exams). key thing was persistence and patience along the journey :3

Yep! I’d say 80% of my trades are limit orders. I don’t really have a favourite but from my data most of my trades occurs between 5-8am or london open/morning usually :)
