OoOoo episode 1 of "teaching my housemate how to trade forex". Guys and girls, we are starting from the *ABSOLUTE BASICS* ! So if you're more experienced, just bear with us. We'll get to entries, management, risk, position sizing and all that good stuff later on. 😉 This series is going to take you from knowing absolutely NOTHING to knowing something, while learning alongside Veronica. Also, _please pleaseee_ keep in mind I'm teaching the way I am because it's leading up to a *specific style/ strategy* ! Like I said in the video, 1hr timeframes, trading with the trend etc etc. 📈

Great series. WIil be good to see how Veronica progresses. Best way to remember bearish and bullish is to think about how would a bull or bear strike you. Bears claw down, bulls lift you up with their horn. Thats how I learnt to remember the difference.

I’m a beginner and I didn’t know that you could trade with price action alone. I thought you had to the most with candlesticks structured and indicators. Thank you for this!

You can read charts like numbers trust me, all indicators lag and are never good

Hannah thanks so much for this series. Hello Veronica :) when i was learning to identify candles as bullish or bearish i was given an image of the way each animal attacks. Bulls hit you and then throw you up where bears hit you and throw you down. putting a colour to that action made it even easier to identify. for me green was bullish and red bearish.

I was about to recommend the same thing. I think using black and gray candles is confusing for a newbie. Explaining bullish and bearish in does terms made it easier for me to learn too.

I am 8 months into trading (with indicators) but I wish I had watched this easy to understand video before I started. Time to unlearn because I also find indicators lagging. Great video
Loving the video. Only 9 minutes in and 2 thoughts. Long and short are old terms from stocks. Took this from my notes. "In a long trade, you purchase an asset and wait to sell when the price goes up. ... When you're in a short trade, you borrow an asset, sell it, and hope to buy it back when the price goes down."
Other thought was how to explain bearish and bullish. Bears tend to claw at you down to the ground. Bulls tend to project you into the air with their horns 😁

I don't think you realise how many trading terms you use automatically without thinking about it, that will mean nothing to a non trader. So much to learn. Best of luck with the training 👍🏻
