This is something i am working on also this month. Beginners think about pips and profits, experienced traders think about management strategies. For myself personally in my own backtesting results 3R take profit while breaking even at 2R has been the best recipe for my trading. In my results 2R had me around 50-60% win rate while 3R was 40- 50% win rate. So breaking even at 2R ensures my win rate remains higher while still holding through to the 3R target.
what do u mean by 2R? so you set the TP at 2x resistance while keeping the SL just under last support? (if you are going long). Therefore, you have 1:2 RR ratio? Can you tell me a bit? Thank you :)
Hey, you are only a few whom I look after if I lose confidence or motivation.... Keep up the good work... I've been following you from soooooo long.... Wish you a best fortune in health and wealth....
Hi, Trading forex is a brilliant idea but trading without a professional broker is not advisable, it can be very difficult and frustrating, you're likely to experience drawdowns.. Currently I'm making a minimum of $1,250 on daily basis. You can as well earn just like I am doing, if you will allow me guide you
Hey Hannah really amazing video and of much help, I do backtesting and file it in notion as well but your notion template is absolutely amazing, will you share that template? It would be much appreciated it, thanks for such a great content
Great video. I like how systematic your process is and it's giving me some ideas on how I can back-test better. I think the end of the video is the most important part where you state that if changes are to be made, they need to work for your strategy with demonstrated proof.
Great Content! I've had a similar journey through what i gather to be the same two communities - I actually use our old communities approach to decide when to set a TP - if its where they would have considered it "within the trend" i set a TP, if it breaks out I'll use our current management method! Good luck! thanks for the vids!
Hi Hannah. I tested the same thing with my strategy this month. Here are my results: I am pretty sure that it is impossible for me (per hand) to make enough backtest trades to find out what would work better with each currency pair I am trading. 18 pairs with at least 1000 trades each pair. And 2nd I have no clue if the results will have any statistical significance to make a decision after tons of work. 3rd So I decided to take the approach that makes me less stress. But you are much better in math than I am (that's easy to be) and I think you know better what u r calculating than I do and if it is worth. Hard work not always pays off
Bro you're trading too many pairs. 18!!? That's too much, focus on 5 at least and maximize understanding of each chart. This is also great as you can use more volume on less trades than less volume on more trades
I really appreciate you for creating all of this content. I know this is an old video but I was looking for inspiration on how to properly backtest, and went over a few of your videos. It’s great and I just wanted to say THANK YOU! PS: also for the Notion Template. It’s golden.
Hi Hannah. Thanks for the content. As usual, very helpful. Please can you share the template you use on Notion for backtext journal? I would deeply appreciate it.
Hi Hannah, Good video, massive credit to you for your success. So the gist of ur set ups are, flag set up after an impulse, clone impulse leg, wait for a candlestick trigger, enter on break of candle with stops below by x?
Hello Hannah. We like your informative videos. Can you tell us what type of template is that for the Journaling? What other factors are there after P/L Control, Confluences? Any others?
Please learn also about Supply and Demand those trade that u lost where because it needed a mitigation on the supply or demand u clearly had the order block there and u put the sl right there keep up with ur strategy but also learn aboout s and d cause the price action needs to go there to mitigate.
Quick question.. I have just started watching your videos and where did you get the knowledge? And can you make a video telling us all the terms and what they mean? Example corrective, impulse, or the retests and so on
we are independent traders, we are independent THINKERS!!!! SAY IT LOUDER FOR THOSE IN BACK HANNAH! another great video, thank you! your hard work will not go unnoticed!
Can you do a more in depth analysis of how you set up your trades, like your trading plan, trading criteria, or Trading process with more detailed information on what to look for with backtested Results or do you already have them available? Ive been looking at your channel but it seems to me that you only have backtested Results, can we have something that just really entails the trading plan and trading criteria that you would do as well. Hopefully this gets noticed, hehe thank you so much hannah, take care and god bless
Question! @4:44 before you placed in your position after the impulse -- we see there's dojis/evening stars/hammer and finally a giant bearish candle -- which is usually a sign of weakness; what were your thought process at the time? Is it simply from experience that an impulse will follow another impulse after retracement with long wicks?
Really insightful and informative. I personally like the way your portfolio/template is setup. May I ask what software or app you use to record your trade results(the one that appears in this video). thanks
Method 1 using the impulse equal measured move usually works pretty well. Are you using the BB strategy, also do you close out all trades prior to the weekend and if so, do you account for this in your backtest data collection.
Thanks Hannah! Salamat! Clean charts versus indicators. You are keeping it simple and clear! I had a hard time adjusting from using 50 ema to a pure naked chart. I am still backtesting a lot. GOd bless!
Hi may be a silly question, let's say you risk 1% and aim for 3% take profit right... Take 70% partials off and run 30%, would you still journal this as 3%?
Awesome video! Just a quick question on the 13% trade. Price made a structural low and had a CT move with the IB but did not break that low, so shouldn’t the trailing SL be at the high before the impulse to the Structural Low hence the return should be about 6-7%? Or is it part of your plan where you take your trade out once an IB forms after a structural low is formed? Hope my question made sense 😂
read this like 100 times but didnt get what youre tryna say hahaha. but we had the impulse, doji, IB, impulse, once we broke, i trailed to IB. then we impulsed and just ranged around until we broke the high... we actually almost got taken out. then i just trailed to most recent highs until im taken out. hope that makes sense :D
@@HANNAHFOREX Omg thank you so much for the reply! Yeap it made perfect sense. I thought the trailing SL you had after the Impulse-Doji-IB got taken out after the massive retracement 😂 Really appreciate you clarifying!
Quick question: Can you make a video that goes full in depth with the percentage gains/lossess within your strategy?.. I try them myself but I can't decide if the percentages are based on R:R or the pips
Pips are fixed on the entry type. Either 12 or 15 (rare cases 20 if the market is volatile). For main strategy, there’s no TP set just managing stop loss so R:R honestly varies. At least for the main strategy I trade :)

Hi hannah! Just wanted to get some advice on what broker can I best use for day trading in forex? Currently im using eToro, but i think the spread is a bit huge. When you do the measurement what exactly are you measuring, sorry if you said it and I missed it.
Measuring of the 1st impulse move can be estimated on the next impluse break after retracement. It really helps

limits for retest, market order on the retrace
