$80 for a 10-coarse meal at that level is crazy good value, I would 100% go for that. Honostly, how can they break even on ~8$ per coarse with those kind of (dry aged) cuts?
maybe cuz our minimun wage is around us$200 so $80 its actually insane amount of money for us, that restaurant is made for tourist no argentinian is gonna spend that much money on 1 food (10 plates is just marketing cuz of gourmet portions). Also if u see the food is very basic, just meat, wine and charcoal and time, all cheap things here.
Yesterday my dad cooked a traditional asado for 16 people and it cost was around 60 usd with salads and dessert. They break even because meat is 2.5 dollars per pound (5 dollars per kg).
No because he has invested in a few restaurants all over Argentina. In Rosario where he was born, very close tho the Footballstadium where he used to play before gooig to europe, there is a nice restaurant on a corner with a HUGE wallpainting from him on it. And it is not expensive there.
If you're still in Argentina, you have to film a chapter in an ordinary person's house. I assure you, they cook the asado better than any place you'll eat at. Even Messi prefers that. Or better yet, go to the countryside in Buenos Aires, about 30 km out, and you'll find a place better than the restaurants that still don't know how to make barbecue. By the way, excellent channel. The thymus is a gland located in the front of the chest, behind the breastbone, and in front of the heart that produces and matures immune cells, especially T cells (T lymphocytes). There are two tipes of molleja, that are from different places of the cow, you have the "molleja de corazon" which translates to Heart Thymus, (is not heart, but is a close tissue) has more fat and more chew and are perfect for the grill. Some prefer this one over the other an so on. sweet bread is a highly sought after part of the beef in higher end restaurants in the US and Europe. As a chef trained in Europe we sold many of them.
So, that Asado expierience looks good but its impossible to afford for 90% of argentines. Just so you know, sweetbreads comes from 2 different parts of the cow, theres the gland next to the heart, the one you tasted and theres the gland on the neck which os the gland that generates the cows saliva. Sweetbreads are usually a step in an asado, not a main course, so, a complete traditional asado goes like this, you start with some cold bloodsausage with bread as a pre asado starter with Fernet, beer or some non alcoholic drink. Then the asado starts with chorizo, here you can add warm bloodsausage, followed by chinchulines (intestines), then sweetbreads, then usually asado (the meat cut), then vacio (you can also add bloodsausage here instead of after yhe chorizo), and then usually a prime cut maybe lomo or carre de cerdo.

Wow. Reminds me of my childhood. That lomito sandwich.. baby!! 😮 fww the best memories.. spend more time showing the street stuff.. glad you went there bro.
Watched the three videos you recorded there. Im surprised you are alive after so much cheese and meat. I'm glad you are enjoying my country's cuisine
sweet bread is a highly sought after part of the beef in higher end restaurants in the US and Europe. As a chef trained in Europe we sold many of them.
Still blows my mind that people outside of utah (or at least probably 97% of them) don't know what fry sauce is.
Im Argentinian, Mollejas are better with lots of lemon, trust me, its a trip
Sonny is a cool guy. Down to earth, funny and a bit krazy 😂
와 오늘은 진짜 다 최고네요 와!
개인적으로 소고기 보단 돼지고기를 더 좋아하지만 진짜 최고다 어썸! 쏘니 사이드! 쏘니 사이드가 최고시다!
Honestly, the sandwich that came out first looked so delicious.
But I almost lost my mind when I saw the food that came out at 12:12.

El ultimo restaurante no es como comemos la carne en argentina, seguro es riquisimo, seguro esta barbaro, pero no es la manera en la que lo comemos aca.
Parece que esta cruda
You said the woman preparing you a sandwich on the outdoor grill was using lomo (filet mignon). Moments later you said it was sirloin (bife de chorizo).
I get to travel the culinary 🌎 with you sonny. All the way from Kenya❤ 😊
In the gulf or carpenteria in Australia
The sweet bread is to die for
It’s beautiful ❤
Seen guys fight over it ❤
I couldn't do all the salt. It's only used to get rid of the moisture
Yeah honestly 80 bucks is a steal for that experience.
yup. In UK that would be 2 shitty main meals and not even including wine!
Am I the only one who clicked it seeing messi's name 😂
6:58 MAN!! What type of cheese is that? I must try this.... immediately
The dish is called provoletta and its made with provolone cheese. Also its recomended for a happy life: provoletta+ mollejas + red wine
@@leodemardel Provolone!! Thank you!! If the life is happy, the wife is happy, and a little red wine always helps 😂👌
as an argentinean I always love to experience my steak like the matrix beef scene
here’s to manifesting more beer in foreign countries
Was it tenderloin or sirloin on that first sandwich? One is way chewier in a steak sandwich. Sounded like sirloin to me. Looked yummy either way.
