I would never attempt to make a cake as beautiful as that one because I am definitely not the seasoned, practiced professional that you are, Tammy but it sure was fun to watch you put that thing together. if you would toast your pecans in the brown butter, oh wow, extra taste dual factor there. the cake looks GORGEOUS but I can't imagine the sweetness factor with 5 cups of icing sugar, all that frosting and caramel, too sweet for me I'd imagine but looks so pretty. yum. I just made brown butter for cream cheese frosting for a banana cake.

Icing a cake like this is so much fun! It automatically decorates it just putting the different layers to Ice it! My Grandmaw used to make one similar to this and she browned her butter. It was so good! I wish I had her recipe for it. Its gone now with her passing and my Momma... Thank you Tammy! I love Cakes made with browned butter, Caramel and Nuts! Perfect combination! Sadly, I did not watch the video, I pulled up the recipe and followed it to the T. When all was in the oven, I noticed the butter flavoring and vanilla still sitting in their dishes. Lesson learned, always follow the video even if I don't want to. I hope it turns out good for our New Years Day Celebration Cake.

If you make his cake and use 9 inch pans, make it a two layer. Otherwise layers are too thin and not enough frosting😊
It is a 3 cup battter recipe so even with 9 inch it would have to be in 3 layers
