O, Tammy!! This video was SO much fun for us!! I kept stopping it and running in to tell my husband "Now guess what happened?!? Tammy was doing such and such and..." He was cracking up😄 I applaud you for not just dumping this video. After all, look at all the things it taught us: #1 Not to have too many things going at the same time on the same breaker #2 Not to use a pan bigger than the burner area #3 That okra cooks crazy fast when the pan's too hot #4 That a smoke alarm doesn't need smoke to set it off #5 Be sure to use your smokeless grill where it will vent somewhere other than towards the smoke alarm. #6 How to cook absolutely PERFECT rice #7 Not to get your blood pressure up when things go wrong. Bless your heart, Tammy. When I was living in the farmhouse if I opened the oven door to check on the food. The heat would set off the smoke alarm in the back hallway. I can not tell you how many times I tripped the breaker having two appliances on at the same time. Had lots of good memories there. Now I can laugh about it. Thank you for making my day brighter.

Youi kept your cool today!!I had this happen to me years ago. I had a Salad Masten supper for maybe 20 couples!! The lady cooking the meal kept blowing fuses!! I was a wreck and thought I would have to just take everyone out for their supper!! We finally ran enough cords to plug everything in on different breakers and got everyone supper!!

This video is a classic for sure, Tammy! There were many lessons in it. I'm so old that I've had most all of them already, but I did learn one thing: the watermelon tip you shared. I'm an experienced induction cooktop and Ninja Grill (the older model) user and appreciate how they help me prepare food now that I've lost a lot of strength. Hope Chris enjoyed the okra. P.S. I think the error on the induction cooktop is because you lifted the pan up. Mine will do that if I remove the pan while it's still turned on.

This is me pretty much me anytime I try and cook something new or buy a new appliance. Took me an hour to figure out my new electric pressure cooker and awhile to learn what temperature to use on my induction burner. You just showed that even the best cooks run into problems. You handled all of it better than I would have cause I would have ripped the fire alarm off the wall and probably would have popped open a bottle of wine and called it a day! 🤣

I don’t know how your video popped up on my RUclips, but it did.
I must say that this was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time.
I used to have a Smoke Alarm that would go off every time I boiled water. And it was down the hallway.
It got so bad that every time that I had to boil water for anything, my Son would have to detach it.
I could fry food with no issue…Go to boil water and…Beep! Beep! Beep!🤣🤣🤣

Tammy, I have had days exactly like this and usually it was when I was cooking for a crowd and under pressure. I felt your frustration and was re-living those times. All of a sudden, I found myself with tears rolling down my face remembering. Yes, this is real life and I respect you for not taking it down. More people can relate to this than your near perfect videos, (and most are) so this was a great example. I love my kitchen, but as I have added more high power "work-saving" devices, have encountered many of the same power draws on my breakers. Over time, I, too, have learned which appliances I can plug in where. Finally, I know how to use all of them in the right spots. I was thinking the other day that the more contraptions I have gotten to simplify my life, the more complex it has gotten. LOL! To top it all off, now I am running out of places to store all of my great appliances. I need an entire pantry simply for my air fryer, Instant Pots, Deep Fryer, Toaster, Ice Maker, Grills, etc. As much as I like all of them, I did just fine back when all I had was my plain ole' stove and was raising 8 kids. Love you, Tammy! Take care of yourself and praying that your heart straightens out. Praying for peace from our Lord to wash over your body and soul beyond human understanding. The show was great, rest assured.

Hi Tammy you did a great with the situation that you were delt with.
And momma never had a fire alarm in the house. I just fried okra in a Dutch oven out a campfire last Saturday night along with smoked brisket and smoked corn on the cob. Also did a Carmel apple pie for dessert.
You may want to start doing some deep breathing exercises or learn meditation to help lower your pulse and or blood pressure. I have been doing it for years after volunteering on a fire department to calm your adrenaline. It helps with my pulse and blood pressure to calm down also. You may want to put a fan in the hallway to help with the fire alarm. Have a great day.
