    I’m still in my 20s, and I think the iced mocha color is STUNNING. My parents have an MKZ in that color, and it’s absolutely beautiful. “Old people” like that color because it helps hide dirt and dust, and I’m a massive fan.
    Heads up, though - exercise caution any time you see a vehicle that’s missing its signature badging. My husband drives a Ford Taurus SHO, and it’s missing the SHO badging in one corner. We really never gave it much thought until it was involved in a minor fender bender, and when we took it to the shop to have it repaired, we were informed that the vehicle had been involved in a significant factory accident that had involved the entire rear end, and when Ford put it all back together, they forgot the badging. That’s fine, but no one from Ford bothered mentioning that at the time of purchase. The car drives fine, we still love it, and my husband insists he’ll drive it until it falls apart, but I can say that I’ll never buy another Ford. I’m not saying that that’s always the case by any means (I’m sure there are plenty of occasions when the factory just forgets to stick badging on), but it’s something to be mindful of.

      I understand that, but I fail to see a market for mid-sized luxury 2 row or rather the need for 2 entries where one could do just as well. I know it's based on the Edge's platform which probably explains why since it existed before Lincoln decided to go RWD after the MKT. That being said, I'd much prefer if Lincoln had further distinguished the Nautilus and Corsair from the Aviator, at least in the face.

    What is the obsession with the Ford lineage? Cadillac is related to Chevy in many models but I don’t hear Chevrolet in every sentence. It’s presented as a negative connotation. I heard you mention Acura and Audi without a word about Honda or Volkswagen. Flipping it to pointing out the premium features not available on the Corsair based Escape, changes the implied impression. I don’t own a Ford or Lincoln product at this point but I have been very impressed with the Aviator. The Aviator based Explorer is not on my shopping list. (See what I did there?).

    Sofyan appears to be the most ageist car reviewer out there . He's constantly talking about old people and dated infotainment etc. Designing crossovers etc for young people is a bit of a non starter . For instance the Kia Soul was meant for young people. But seems to be really popular with 50 + women . Good luck selling a Lincoln to young people.

    • @Stikkelsbær
      @Stikkelsbær 3 года назад +5

      I'm more curious about what he means by "old people". Over 50? Older than him? I get some of the points, but the binary way he discusses old and & young makes me eager to watch Sofyan's reviews when he one day realizes he is an "old person". To some GenZs, he already is...
      I mean no insult, but I just find it funny, hehe.
      I suspect Lincoln's R&D is going into EV models at the moment and they are just offering basic refreshes to tread water. Ford's decision to completely pull out of producing cars is going to cost them in the long term in my opinion, if they don't release some sort of smaller car in the next five years. Not everyone wants an SUV. I say this as a a Focus driver for the past 13 years.

      @@danr154 I don’t think Sofyan has the qualifications to be an engineer of design . All the extra sound deadening different suspensions , electronics , body panels etc.. are so different from the fords , his thinking of Lincoln’s is stuck in the 90’s when you could direct fit parts from crown vics to Lincoln’s and so on . He needs to crawl under the vehicles and get a lil dirty for once , and he’d understand why you can’t just put that engine in that platform . Weight distribution cross members all widths all would have to change .. I could keep going on .. but I think you get the point

Give that about 2 weeks before it gets all scratched up and looks crappy. I thought some of the buttons felt cheap also. I agree about the screen bezel that looks like a 10 year old cell phone! I think the "new" grill design looks better than my mkc though.
