I have been sending in all the job applications now and I have to admit the interviews are intimidating less because I am nervous more so because I am really eager! Remote interviews are such a blessing. I like the idea of researching so much and knowing so much about the publisher. And I think it will be okay because I do have an interest in publishers and the industry. I think I am bad at taking the time when asked a question that needs thought, and need to be okay with saying I don't know and want to learn more about it. I like the questions about marketing campaigns and such because with my interest I know so much of them! And I like the conflict and time management skills questions as well. I am working on getting better with questions! This was so useful!

I'm so glad this was useful, and my DMs are always open for any questions!! 💛 Being open to learning is so important, nobody knows everything right away. And I think when you take time to consider a response to a question the silence always feels much longer than it actually is! Any publisher would be SO lucky to have you 💛

Appreciate your video but I have to push back on a couple of tidbits based on some recent advice I received from a founder of a publisher. They mentioned that a good background and somewhat fast internet connection/speed were very beneficial to have.

If they’re basing their decision on that then I wouldn’t want to work with them. It displays a total lack of awareness that not everyone has a privileged living situation.
