    I don't mind SFV, but the fact it won "Fighting Game Of The Year" on multiple occasions, I found that to be ridiculous. There was fighting games that came out last year that 1.Were actually done (which is the easiest argument) and 2. Fighting Games that effort was actually put in. For example, Guilty Gear and Killer Instinct. It just tells you how much a company could get away with just because of their past successes.

      @RandomRon005 7 лет назад +106

      There is no rational universe that could justify SFV winning "Best Fighting Game of the Year," especially when KoF XIV, Guilty Gear, even Pokken Tournament were all better.

      1) as a fighting game, it was actually done. The early release was to prepare for tournaments, and all it was missing was a story mode as opposed to releasing it half finished... and either way haters saw putting the time in to do each aspect right as half finished. lol. 2) more effort was put into it than any fighting game. it had by far the best balanced play for a launch title and a lot of work went into making it competitive and accessible as opposed to just doing whatever the fuck they wanted. By far the best fighting game of the year. Room for improvement from there on? Sure, and hopefully there will always be room for improvement for us to expect constant work and content being added. It has also already surpassed sfiv roster by its 1 year mark and the first sf with a story mode, so comparing it even to its own franchise it is better. Only thing missing (which I too can't understand wtf they are doing with that) is arcade mode. when you weight it back out, it is again the best fg released last year. Honestly, the rest feel like button mashing garbage by comparison I could never understand people flocking to fgs that are nothing but mash my ass out and play. SF to this day remains the best fg. Sure it has also characters and play styles I hate and strategies that are annoying, but guess what, so do all fgs.

      light yagami if they would've released the game with the season 1 and 2 added to the main roster, arcade mode, story mode and color packs able to be unlocked through arcade mode, it would've hit that 2 mil mark. Maybe higher

      So fucking true man, cuz you are talking about a complete game. In other games you would have to play survival to unlock other characters or Ex version of the characters like in Guilty Gear, but in SFV you unlock color!? I mean, seriously!? and hard mode it's more like nightmare than hard, 😠I have only pass it with my main who's Cammy, I have tried with Akuma and Ryu but I only get to the 35s 40s and i die😒

      what killed SF V is the lack of content and the visuals... that art style is just utter butt ugly. on a deeper level the issues with the game is what Max said, the combo system was drastically 1 dimensional, the game mechanic was meh, the specials were meh, the amount of rage quitters online from casuals, over priced DLC's and SF V fanboys are brutal as destiny fanboys.

    I don't think the competitive scene supporting this game really speaks to its quality. It's simply because they don't have a choice. For players like Infiltration Street Fighter is basically their job and they can't just turn up to tournaments saying "I'd rather play SFIV because it has a higher skill ceiling and is more fun to play". Capcom is not gonna support that because there's no money to be made there. In fact Infiltration specifically was /very/ critical of SFV and Capcom's approach to the game in a somewhat recent interview and while they may take that into consideration, I highly doubt it'll make a huge impact. The pro scene is not gonna go anywhere because there's nowhere to go. Games like KoF XIV and Guilty Gear Rev 2 might very well be better games but they don't have the brand recognition or money behind them to really threaten Street Fighter. No matter what SF will always be top dog at Evo and that's a problem.

      Professional gaming makes them money, yes, but a lot of them do things on the side to get money because it doesn't pay that much and you aren't guaranteed to win. Streaming brings in more cash and there wouldn't be a competitive scene with out spectators so. 1. he does have a choice 2. it does say a lot just my two cents anyway.

    • @RokushoTheRavager
      @RokushoTheRavager 7 лет назад +3

      While Tekken 7 may or may not ever be able to overthrow Street Fighter, they can damn sure rival it. Add to the fact Tekken 7 has never made multiple copies or a Complete Edition like most fighting games do these days and I've never played one that felt shoddy or had a lack of content (I've played 1,2,3,5, & 6 so far), it could potentially make an impact. I mean hell there's a reason Tekken crossed over with Street Fighter in SFXT, so what does that tell you.

    • @Cheese_Bean
      @Cheese_Bean 7 лет назад +1

      To be fair I think he was using a really specialized definition of the word. I'd never heard postmortem being used as an update to an ongoing event or project. It's specifically referring to something that has ended (e.g. 1 year postmortem would be a year after something stopped existing).
      I guess postmortems for periods of time that something has existed rather than the event or project itself is a way the word is used in the gaming industry. It just looks funny.

But when u get lucky and about to win they leave the game and ur deprived of ur win. Make people on your ranking fight you. And as you get better you get harder players through time. The system is fucking stupid.

There will probably be another edition in the future since thet still keep releasing DLC, but Champion Edition is good enough, it has like 90% of the content unlocked.

      elsa payo Depends on what system like PC or PS4. I got the game for $40 with both season passes. So $20 plus tax cheaper and that's with the season passes which each are now like $10-15 cheaper for the 1st pass and the second is $20-30. So you could imagine how much money you save there. I got it on PS4 online while they had a special like a month ago. I recently got into it but play for fun even online. I'm not anal about my online record like so many people are. Even casual and ranked matches because you get fight money for doing missions weekly. Like win 10 matches and get a bonus instead of just playing ranked to get fight money. With the FM you can buy characters, costumes, stages and colors for the outfits too. Some unfortunately cost real money which is kind of bs. Hope this helps ^^
      Its accessible, easy to pick up and has somewhat of a learning curve. It's not like other fighting games though, that's for sure. Still fun imo and for what I paid, it's cool

Sprite based fighters are dead for both companies, so it would seem like a lot of pointless effort to please fans.

  • @Chconroy

    From my standpoint (that being someone who doesn't play competitively, but loves to be invested in fighting games) Street Fighter 5 has yet to draw me in. I can admire it becoming an ESports title and gaining traction, but it still hasn't done enough to earn my trust. I attribute this to a number of reasons.
    1. No substantial single-player content: Arcade mode was always fun for me. Outside of battles with friends, it's how I get my enjoyment for a fighting game. There's no reason for SF5 to not have this and the solo stories are no replacement. Like many, I was hopeful for the story mode, but it didn't provide enough in terms of gameplay or a narrative. All that leaves is trial mode and vs. CPU, the former not being very enjoyable for me and the latter not holding my interest for very long.
    2. The game looks great...sometimes: I find that SF5 is an overall great looking game, but then there are moments when it falters. How many times have we seen a clipping issue in game? While clipping is expected with 3D models, it feels more common here than other games. The art direction/character design has also been very mixed to me. While some characters look great, I think nobody's forgotten Ken's hair. Alex looks a little off to me, I'm not a fan of Akuma's beard (I swear it clips through his chest) and Ibuki's new design is a step back from her old look.
    3. DLC: It was one thing to launch the game with so little, but I despise the game's DLC. It feels like this game is too much DLC that needs to be bought. And yes, you can use fight money to get it, but you'd have to play an insane amount of the game online to earn enough for the characters, stages, colors, costumes, and whatever else you want to get. I'd honestly take updates at this point, as I've seen them done well so that I don't feel like I'm overpaying for the update. Look at Guilty Gear Xrd. Revelator did cost 60 dollars, but remember that in addition to game rebalance and new characters, all episode modes were sequels to the events of Sign (meaning new dialogue to record and new cutscenes to make) and there was a new story to watch (which means 5 hours of fully voiced, cinematic footage that expands on the story from Sign). Even Rev 2, which isn't as substantial as Revelator was, will be cheaper while offering enough to make the price worth it. Hell, if Capcom relaunched SFV and did it right, I'd definitely buy it.
    All in all, SF5 is a game that I do have a lot of fun playing and think is a step up from 4 (not to say 4 was bad), but it's held back by so many bad decisions in how it was sold and is handled in terms of pricing and content. It's a shame, because there are times were I really wanted to like it, but too many bad choices forced me to move on from the game.

    I find it really really hard for me to watch SF5. SF4 was not only a lot of fun and interesting to watch, but also a lot of fun to play. SF5 is frustrating to play at times, and one of the reasons is losing doesn't make me want to run it back, it makes me want to stop playing all together. SF4 felt like you always had a fighting chance, while SF5 feels like you could walk forward and randomly die...

I know I'm not the only one who loses and just sits there like "ok????"

    Let's be real it released with barely enough fighters and stages to be a demo, the grafics are good, but stages are so inferior to sf4 that it's kinda ridiculous, and everyones hair is hideous and bugged out. You pay 60 dolars for a third of the game and the dlc is ridiculously expensive, to the point where in some countries it is absolutely impossible to buy it. Rashid and Laura were cool new characters, but Fang is something that just shouldn't exist. Plus the game still lacks a lot classic fighters that should have been there from day one.

      They were saying originally that wouldn't be the case, but really, it seems like a necessity at this stage. The shabby launch really hurt the game. It bugs that I've not been able to form an opinion on it since I'm an Xboner,
      I would love to see an updated edition come out when Season 2 finishes. Owners of the current version wouldn't need to buy anything and people who have held off might be enticed to give it a try.

    • @Klefth

      Keeping up with the addition of content for people who own the game (maybe add more supers and v-skills/triggers; that'd be awesome) and re-launching it or launching a new "edition" of the game with all those updates pre-installed at least so that the changes get some media traction would be the best move Capcom could pull off IMO.
      Aaaand maybe also throwing in arcade mode for the people who keep crying out for 8 random fights vs. CPU for some mind-boggling reason. Why you'd pick up a game from a traditionally competitive genre for the single player is beyond me, but people want it so... eh.

  • @RandomRon005

    The main reason why I find SFV the most disappointing game of last year was it looked like Capcom was learning its lesson. Bringing back characters we haven't seen in a while? That's good. Getting rid of most of the gimmicky problems I had with SFIV? That's good. Actually allowing you to earn DLC? That was great. Adding a cinematic story mode? That was great. So as a Street Fighter fan, I preordered the game thinking there was no way they could fuck this.
    So I got they game, and throughout all of the good they were doing, they still managed to fuck it up.They fucked up servers & the netcode, they fucked up the mechanics, a la "Jab/Short beats everything," they fucked up with the input delay, they even managed to fuck up Zangief. I wanted to remain optimistic about the game, and I was one of the few who defended it for a time, but the more I played it, the more problems I found with it to the point where I traded it in to get KoF XIV. If anything, the only thing I can appreciate is the music since a lot of it was improved from SFIV, with the exception of Juri, Akuma, and arguably Laura's theme. I know people will claim heresy on this, but if the original SFIII didn't exist, this would've been the worst major SF game that exists.

    6:50 To be fair, the "pretty good critical reviews" were all about what SF5 would become and not about what at the moment was.
    Was disrespectful to all players to see 90-95 rates and then look over the review to read that the game was lacking content but they still were giving that score because during the next months it was going to be completed bit by bit. They literally shamelessly lied to us to favor Capcom and its despicable attempt of promove a politic of sell a half game at full price.

    SFV pros:
    Nice graphics, V-Skills/Trigger,
    SFV Cons:
    Bad Netcode, No variety, Matches look the same, game mechanics, not too many defensive options, expensive season passes that don't give you every single DLC item, Capcom focuses on DLC instead of fixing the game,
    I can go on and on with the cons, but you get the idea.

      +Nico Gaiden I know, right? It's like the sole intended purpose of SFV is/was to bring as many casuals into the competitive scene as possible, but you can't motivate them to do that by going "here, this is all you can do in this game, now go pro to milk it to its fullest potential, because otherwise you might as well be senselessly wasting your money, and you don't want to feel stupid and cheated for trusting us... right?"! No, you make lots of single-player content, make casual Fight Money collection a real pain, and then promise greater amounts FM to those who play online matches more regularly, so once they've enjoyed playing by themselves enough, and they crave for more unlockable content, they can go online with a better feeling for how the game plays! :)

Let's say they released an update like Super SF4 giving each character a new V-Skill, a new V-Trigger and a new Critical Art and this update was free to download, but they also released a physical copy of it. I know Capcom said SFV is the only copy of the game you'll need, but maybe it could work.

      That's what I want most also. Everyone should have a choice between a 2 bar and 3 bar VT. Everyone should have a choice between 2 or more VS. Everyone should have another CA. And there's no reason why every character can't also have two V reversals. A lack of defensive options is one of the biggest complaints of SF5, so give everyone 2 VR that do different things. Maybe forward and 3P knocks the opponent back and forward 3K side switches to get yourself out of a corner.

    My problems with SF5 -
    1. SF5 takes FOREVER to find a match still.
    2. SF5 has some good tracks like Guile's theme but SF4 has drastically better music most of the time. (ie. Volcanic Rim, Character Select screen, Indestructible)
    3. I was hoping for a game that took place past the events of Street Fighter III and would have a combination of SF3 characters, SF2, some Alpha characters and new ones. Instead, we got another prequel to SF3 that just contains some nods to it.
    4. Not a fan of the new character designs for the most part. Some characters look fine but some of the redesigns look terrible. (ie. Ken) Again, I was kind of hoping for a post-SF3 timeline with the bearded Ryu as the default character appearance.
    5. SF5's graphics look under par compared to other fighting games currently. Guilty Gear shits all over SF5. Killer Instinct looks fantastic. Even Injustice 2 has drastically improved in appearance. Each numbered update in the SF series used to have a pretty substantial improvement in graphics and there really wasn't one between SF4 to SF5.
    6. No combo/game mechanics tutorial modes. Guilty Gear/Killer Instinct did this shit right.
    7. Game has been put through a fine tipped comb for esports to the point that there's nothing exciting about watching a match. You dont' see any crazy broken shit or amazing new tech out of the blue. Even Marvel 3 after all these years still has people finding out new shit.

To me I see street fighter as a more bare bones fighting game and much more focused on fundamentals, moreso than an common anime game like guilty gear, dbfz, and skullgirls.

      xxHB311xx I agree with what you're saying, but at the same time when a game is so frustrating to play you just don't even want to bother with it anymore, I wouldn't say that's a good thing. A game can have depth without being ridiculously hard to play and still provide a bit of entry level for those not as skilled like say MKX, Injustice, Killer Instinct, & Dead or Alive 5: Last Round all manage to pull off.
      SF4 is a fantastic game with a ton of great content don't get me wrong, but it's so incredibly anti-casual friendly that it turns some people off from playing because even simple combos are difficult to pull off due to that 1 frame combo link bullshit. Like you have to be immensely precise 100% of the time or your combos drop and you're left to be horribly punished for it, which is heavily demoralizing.
      I love playing as Oni & Evil Ryu, but the frustration I get from playing the game when my combos never work the way I want them to, just doesn't feel worth it. That's just simply my opinion though, I mean no disrespect to your outlook.

    I'd never heard the term 'your turn/my turn' for Street Fighter before V. Taking turns was a Marvel thing, you had to hold that defense until your opponent's combo/mix up was over, then it was your turn. This rule never applied to SF, it was fast back-and-forth/reversal heavy until V. Changing the very foundation of the game turned a lot of people off. Let's hope they learned something from this when working on VI.

    Yes the severe lack of single player content is what killed this game for me I have absolutely no interest in the online part of the game. Capcom need to go back to their Street Fighter 2 Turbo days that game still to this day remains the best Street fighter game out there.

    I have the same main problem with SFV: the mechanics are way too lackluster in comparison to SF4. Combo system is simple and weighty. Because of this, it's very boring to watch. You nailed it when you said the complexity of the game comes with the conditioning and the mind games, which is hard to visually portray.

    Multiple V-Triggers should be a feature
    I will use Ryu as an example of what this could be.
    "V-Trigger II Satsui No Hado" selectable after selecting Ryu in a separate menu. This V-Trigger has 3 bars of V-Gauge.
    Visually, Ryu's eyes would turn red when in V-Trigger II
    When V-Trigger is activated, Ryu would scream and hold his head while his eyes would emit a red glow before returning to his neutral animation.
    Voice actor would change to Evil Ryu's voice actor during V-Trigger and would have separate lines as a means of fan-service.
    His shoryuken would be multi-hitting. EX would play the same shoryuken animation but would do more hits and deal more damage.
    Hadoukens would be purple and do 3 hits. Ex Hadoukens travel .5 times faster than a normal Ex Hadouken and do 4 hits
    Tatsumaki Senpukyaku juggles and multi-hits. Ex remains the same.
    Ryu's super is visually changed to resemble a dark purple fireball instead of blue. It stays the same in terms of damage and properties.
    Go ahead and have fun, reply to this comment of your own unique V-Trigger and what it does.

    I agree with Max, more V-Triggers, V-Skills, and super would make this game more appealing to the casual audience. Like the "Matador Stage" V-Trigger that was once considered for Claw (where a cage was supposed to drop down and allow Claw to climb it ala SFII), that would have been interesting both visually and gameplay wise. A lot of the V-Skills are just "projectile evasion" moves like Rashid's roll, Dictator's and Nash's "absorb" skill and Cammy's auto-correct spinning knuckle. Or they're some sort of parry like Zangief's "flex" or Ryu's or Akuma's parries. And don't get me started with Laura's "overhead" V-skill, sure its a good move, but an overhead as a V-Skill is quite uninspired.
    Some of the better V-Skills are Birdie's "traps", Necalli's ground pound, F.A.N.G.'s un-blockable poison dart, and Urien's armor. Ibuki's V-Trigger is OP af (but at least its game changing), Dictator's "cancel specials into EX" is also great since he needs burst damage when trying to overcome life deficits, Ryu's V-trigger is actually ok since it allows his Super to cause stun (if only it lasted longer)

    Another problem with Capcom is they tried to rush out modes instead of focusing on a few and then forgot they existed. Story is derpy as fuck. The tutorial pretty much won't teach new people anything useful. Survival mode is a messy time consuming grind that literally no one wants to do, which pretty much made daily challenges the main source of Fight money. Plus releasing more over priced dlc isn't helping lol.

    I don't see SF4 when I see SF5. I don't see how you can.

    • @Neoxon619
      @Neoxon619 7 лет назад +18

      Because they started from scratch for the roster. For reference, SFIV initially started with 16 characters in its arcade release. The only way that SFV could have had a massive roster is if they ported the models & animations from SFIV rather than redoing everything.

    • @JELIFISH19
      @JELIFISH19 7 лет назад +15

      SF5 has same roster size that SF4 started with. And SF4 had a smaller roster than 3S but larger than SF3NG. SF3 started with a smaller roster than SFA2 and ST. SFA started with less than SSF2NC. Every new SF has less characters than the last game in the previous series.

    I actually like SF5 a lot more than i ever liked SF4 honestly. It just "feels" better to play to me, i like the refreshing, and honestly MUCH needed, changes they made to some characters, liked that they brought back a lot of characters that hadnt been seen in literally almost 20 years (Charlie, Mika, Karin, Birdie,Alex), really liked the addition of V Skills and Triggers, liked that they finally at least attempted a cinematic story, ect. I can say without shame i really like the game.Its like a breath of fresh air. SF4 just always felt "off" to me. It felt sluggish and slow,hated the art/graphic style, it had terrible music, i felt like they played it super safe with the character selection (mostly SF2 characters with a few alpha and sf3 characters thrown in) and how they looked and played, didnt like the mechanics like focus attacks and ultras, and hated how they let you basically "back out of your mistakes" with FADC's. It just felt like more of the same thing we had been seeing for years and years, except worse. In fact Vanilla SF4 was basically Super Turbo but with 3D graphics and a few non SF2 characters thrown in. I dont hate SF4 but its honestly my least favorite SF series.

    I'm from the casual player side. Despite being a big fan of Street Fighter for pretty much my entire life i've never been a competitive player and i usually played the games for my own enjoyment. I liked the look and feel of some of the characters and i was interested in their stories, so i played the games. I do respect the fact that Street Fighter was built for the competitive scene and i've never written off Capcom for trying to drive this series harder in E-Sports. Personally, i'm quite proud to see it do so well with that crowd.
    But from a casual players perspective, someone who plays because they enjoy the world and it's lore, i feel we were short changed. The Story Mode was terribly written and a huge majority of fans who play for the same reasons as me also felt some of the characters they had cherish all these years were being poorly directed in this new game.
    I know it's not the main focus of a Street Fighter game, i'm definitely not here trying to push the storyline as the most important aspect of this series, but from the casual side of the fence it's left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth and as such it doesn't inspire me to play it as often as i played the likes of the Street Fighter III and the Alpha series' (which ironically had LESS story development per game, but felt more focussed and refined because of it).
    I'm not hating though. I'm just disappointed.

    This shouldn't be here. I believe you should be able to get fight money through offline matches myself, not a select few things.

      fight money would be a great incentive if there was an arcade mode it would encourage offline play, as well as online play. they try it now but with the trial mode its gets boring trying to beat 100 players with no real story or believable challenge. baffling that the one thing they left out was arcade mode

    • @Scientist93
      @Scientist93 7 лет назад +2

      Right now, as it has already been duly pointed out, one can earn about 6000FM per week quite easily, so it's not as painstaking as it was, but I've got an even better idea: why not make lots of single-player content, then make the FM grind easier online than offline? If Capcom wants so many casuals to go pro, that's the way to do it: after having enough fun on their own, once they start craving more content, they can go online, having already obtained a feel for the game, and then get rewarded with more and more FM per match even if they get bodied! The online matchmaking is very slow as it is, so they should reward the persistence and patience needed for a pro wannabe to get into regular online playing.

    I think a big problem with SFV is the crush counter. It's great in theory, but it changes the way people play footsies, deal with oki, and punish whiffs and blocked reversals. Rather than an intense back and forth neutral game that you see in SF4, SFV has a lot of fishing for crush counters with heavy attacks. Once one lands, it's the same optimized combo every time. It makes matches less exciting and more predictable. Of course, that's just my theory.

    I like to imagine that the People who made Capcom great are gone from the Company and now are found in SNK or Arika, but I don't see that Capcom learned anything.. maybe thats because I saw HOW TO reboot a Game how it should be with FFXIV which set my Expectations on what you do if you care about your Game.I don't see the behavoir from Capcom to fix "the Game" to make it worth for everyone and to call SFV what it supposed to be: the Entry in the Mainseries of One of the Most-Known Fighting Game Franchise, doesn't do it justice and makes Street Fighter in the whole look bad. if SFV would've been 15$base+15$season pass, no one had a Problem because yes the Game had no features but guess what at least you paid only half of a "real game". For me the Best Street Fighter Experience lies between Alpha3 and 3rd Strike.. Hell! Alpha3 for the GBA delievers a better SF Experience. SFV should've been a Spin-Off Title so that it can be what it is: An LowContent Overpriced All-ways Online.. Application with DLC that is not in the Season Pass... I know I sound like a Broken Record to release this "game" as Street Fighter V for that Price was a Failure, Capcom lost to many good ppl I mean a Soundguy from 3rdStrike Runs the Game.. so we can't expect too much but still Capcom is just a fleeting memory of a mere shadow what they used to be, or in other words: Arika, namco and SNK do, what Crapcom don't!

    I've been playing the Street Fighter games since 3rd Strike and SFV is actually my favorite in the series. Although I agree that the lack of content is pretty bad, the series has never felt this good to play before. It took me MONTHS to master the precise timing needed for combos in the earlier games. When I tried SFV, it had the perfect balance of skill difficulty. I could figure out combos with a few days of practice and I was so happy because it meant that newcomers could do the same; more people could play this game and get better without wasting too much time.

    I don't care too much for single player content (though I was confused with the lack of an arcade mode) but if the single player content is lacking, that leaves it to the Competitive aspect to try & pull me in, & Street Fighter 5 has pulled me in but took advantage of it overtime, especially as of the last few days! I got this game last year for Christmas & overtime, I grew to like it less & less. For 2 Main Reasons. For 1 Thing, this game has already become stale I feel. As you mentioned before, there is very little room for creativity. Now I myself am a mentally slow, brains/heart hybrid style player, But even then, We're seeing too much of the same characters & strategies over & over again, 1 of the main reasons my interest in Melee is constantly diminishing too. 2ndly, there is just too much damn focus on offensive pressure, which is 1 of my least favorite fighting styles if we're talking just raw playstyle. It doesn't give me nearly enough time to just hang in neutral for a bit & scout my opponent's intentions. Now there are other combo/pressure heavy fighting games, but the difference is that those games allow players to take it slow at points in each game to plan a bait, wait for a mistake they're looking for, etc. which can't be said for Street Fighter 5 except maybe Guile.
    Also, Let's talk about Infiltration. Anyone who saw the recent "I Got Next" episode should have a feeling Infiltration just isn't enjoying the game anymore. There is no Run & Gun Style character in Street Fighter 5 anymore, & since he's now playing this game as a job & getting stressed out, It's a lose/lose situation for him at this point. If he quits Street Fighter 5, he's not gonna be able to make his next fighting game a job anymore, & if he sticks with the game, It's more & more stress on trying to adapt to a fighting game he just doesn't enjoy anymore.
    & Finally, to the whole "If Street Fighter 5 is currently frustrating you, there are plenty of other options out there" I do have some other fighting games, but the huge problem is, currently, only Street Fighter 5 & Smash 4 have an always active online playerbase. I myself have been having a bit of trouble on which fighting game to truly stick to as of now. & to any of you saying "Just play whatever you most enjoy!" to that I say, I have found 1 that I do most enjoy in terms of playstyle. Arcana Heart 3 Love Max. That game has so many movement options, so many neutral tools, & a creative af combo game! However, the thing is, that game has almost ZERO online base! No matter how many times I search up for Matches, Unless if I literally ask the community for matches, I NEVER get any results! I Also just got Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on Xbox One with the same problem! For almost any fighting game, unless if it just came out withing a week, It is goddamn near impossible to find any matches! Street Fighter 5 has so limited neutral & combo options & is getting stale already yet it still is 1 of the very few fighting games that you can actually get consistant online matches without needing to grab friends or hope Maximillian Dood is streaming it at the moment! Street Fighter 5 Players NEED to go on strike right now, because the game is getting away with so much it's outright intolerable!

    If SF5 and SF4 mechanics merged into one game it could be awesome. Fadc (without crumple) for custom combos, multiple v trigger, v skills or supers per character, crush counters, a middle ground in link timing. I can dream.
